Setting Up Raised Beds - 2023 Garden
Музыка
So far, we are loving these beds from Vego Garden. We have 2 more beds to set up then wait for planting time. There are a few more areas of the yard I want to clean out and trellis our Black Berries, but other than, we are waiting until planting time.

Awe, yall are so sweet, I love the love that yall show to each other..yall make me think of my husband n myself, when we 1st were married..stay sweet to each other, and always love n forgive one another..we've been married 38 years, and have one daughter...who loves to plant n grow stuff just like we do..her n her husband, and 2 boys, lives at the bottom of the hill here on our property..she said momma, we never want to move anywhere else..my oldest grandson is autistic, very intelligent, hes 16 n about to graduate with high honors..I love you n your family's videos..tfs
I got tired just watching this video. I'm 65 with disability (require oxygen supplementation). Thanks for sharing how this is done. I do feel motivated, now, and just purchased a backpack system for my Inogen one G3 O2 concentrator pack. So, maybe this year, I can do this. I grew up helping my parents work a huge garden and wish I could build one. This looks so much easier than tilling the ground. God Bless you!
Raised beds are the way to go. You will look back on these days and treasure them. Thanks Corie for sharing!

Curiosity question: why worry about if the raised beds are level, if they’re being filled with logs, leaves, and dirt? Your plants will still grow regardless, right? Not being mean, just wondering out of curiosity. 😊
Perfect opportunity to put all those small stones and rocks in the bottom of your raised beds, it will help with the drainage as well as help the yard be able to grow grass better.
What hard workers you and Austin are, Corie!! I’m sure all that work will Pay off when you are harvesting all you plant! Love seeing you both working so well together! God bless and love to you both!! 💕🤗🙏🏻
I loved this episode. How tired both of you looked. Working in your garden is so much like work in your marriage. At times it is tremendously hard, but eternally worth it. GodBless both of you and your families.
Exciting times! May all your plans and dreams come to fruition. Watching Austin dig that rocky soil reminds me of our property. My friend wanted to give me some Iris transplants. Wouldn’t believe me when I said we cannot dig a bed in our yard, so she volunteered to plant them herself. It did not take more than ten minutes with a shovel for her to change her mind. Bless her heart.
You will love these beds. I bought one last year they are durable and sturdy. I used the 2x8 foot configuration and grew potatoes in it and they were very successful. Enjoy. They are a bit spendy but a good choice.
This is so exciting! Springtime offers such excellence when it comes to gardening! With the warm sunshine and the days getting longer, the excitement of planting becomes great and your plants will stay moist longer this way! You can use these large and lovely planters year after year, too! I know you are going to raise lots of very nice vegetables!
Feel that dirt between your fingers. Can't wait for the snow to melt so I can start mine. Enjoy the videos.
Can't wait to see it all done!! It's going to be amazing I am sure!
What an exciting time! My husband and I just sold our home in California and are about a month away from heading out to Arkansas to start a new adventure. I so enjoyed watching your video about your favorite kitchen items. I watched it while I was packing up my vintage kitchen tool collection. I will be hard pressed to have much of a garden this year with the move, but am so looking forward to next year and what my garden will look like. You and your husband are such a positive couple, so enjoyable to watch.❤❤❤

Thank you so much, safe travels for the move 😁
I love the progress. I start all of my seeds from start in the red solo cups so I don’t have to disturb them until ready to plant. It saves me so much time.
You two are so cute together. Both hard workers too. 💖💙
Great to see y'all working together and planning everything out to utilize every inch of your yard. It will All pay off Big Time!😉

Corie, you and Austin are doing an amazing job on your garden beds! I’m so impressed! :) I’m a long time gardener who comes from a long line of gardeners, just as you do, and I’m so very excited to watch you building and realizing your very own garden dreams, that will become such a great part of your life for many bountiful year’s to come. God Bless! 🙏🏼✨👍

Nice planning Corie❤️Austin 🙏🏽
The deer are gonna love the new garden 😁😵💫🧐
I'm watching your mom's garden videos too. I'm excited to see how both your gardens turn out! It's kind of like a weekly TV drama, but with vegetables ... what's going to happen next? I'm invested, lol! God bless!

Dang, I'm pooped just from watching all that work! Maybe a cookie break is in order, lol...😜😁
Hey Corey. On your next bed put your dirt in a five gal bucket and haul it to your bed instead of a shovel full at a time. You and Austin are so cute and work well together. God Bless and have a safe day.
Yay for this as I need some inspiration (to get after it)! Thank you Corie, Austin!!! 🙌🏼 💓 ETA: Listening now and Corie, I love how you encourage your husband. That's so wise, so deeply wise! Recipe for so many good things right there. Thanks again.
Gonna be fruitful. Looks really neat. I can’t wait to see too!
Wishing you a hearty harvest! You and Austin remind me of my husband and me with our gardens. Lots of work and love poured into them. God bless you both❣️🙏🍅🫐🥬🌷🥀
You both did great!!! Can't believe how many rocks were dug up; that's a lot or work! I'm so excited for ya'll and hope all grows well! God bless you two!
A pro tip: take a old teaspoon and put in a bench vise to bend it into a "C" shape. This makes the perfect tool to lift seedlings out of plug trays.
Very nice’ gods blessings sweetie
What a great job you guys. Can hardly wait to see them planted. ❤️🇨🇦
Oh to be young again. I can remember being able to work like that. Y’all are so smart to be doing that.
Awesome video, Corie and Austin!🥬🍆🍅😊🇨🇦
What a great thing! Great planning! I can't wait to see what what y'all grow!
Thanks for sharing! Those look like they're going to do great. Going to share this with my sister she was talking about raised beds this year. Can't wait to see the next step!, take care
You should have borrowed your Dad and mom's rototiller to till areas for the raised beds. It's a lot easier to do. Love you and Austin. I watch your mom's videos too.
We worked food plots all day in mid Georgia. 80 degree work days sure are nice.
Corie, what you need is to have Olive out there helping you dig. I bet she would have fun doing that LOL😊
Austin & Corie - such a beautiful start to your gardening landscaping! May it be a bountiful year for you both. 💕👍
Can't wait to see how well your garden turns out.
So good to see the progress on the garden beds. Smart of you to put the logs in to take up space & they will eventually rot & make for good compost. As the dirt settles between & under the logs you might have to add more dirt after the beds are watered really well & the dirt settles in. Those raised bed will be so much easier on you for planting & harvesting your plants. You won't have to crawl on the ground or bend over so much while maintaining. Keep the progress videos coming! Hugs!
Building the beds is a ton of work but just think how beautiful your garden will be. I really enjoy you and Austin making videos thanks for sharing.

Yay! The beds are beautiful. Hard work putting together & getting them filled! I enjoyed watching you & Austin working together, you are an inspiration for other young couples. I'm as excited as you to see them planted and growing!! Blessings to you both (& Olive 🐾🐾)
I'm sure you've heard of the old saying, " If you want to know who your friends are, hand them a round mouthed shovel." 😅Be sure to prepare for those pesky critters. 👍
Garden's don't just give to you food they give to you patience and kindness to one another !!! Tis hard working along sometimes but you get things done in away !!! Mom needs that help as she gets aged like Grandma !!! Tipper your Moma helps out with Grandma that is what it is all about in life !!!
Looking good !
Will be nice to see all planted nice set up i think thank you for showing it.

Excited for you both, yay!!! God bless your garden!!
Good morning from a snowy Syracuse NY
Cory, use a soup spoon to lift out the seedlings,
Thank you for sharing I miss having a garden now that I live in an apartment it’s just not the same just to go out there and pick some vegetables in it and just eat them right off the vine i miss it many blessings on your garden🙏❤️
I’m “rooting” for a successful garden!
I will pray that God will prosper you and your husband's garden.
Sun and shade ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Looks great Corey. Cant wait too see how it turns out .
Well done, Corie and Austin. It looks great. A family that gardens together.... ....eats fresh veggies together! 😉
One reason to put the raised beds parellal with the road is the amount of slope will make it easier to make the raised beds level . The idea of covering the stump within the raised bed makes a lot of sense, rather than stand on the stump to water the plants. You can dig in the water line from the back of the house, and that way you dont have to run a hose on top the ground and mess with a hose there all the time, other than a short hose to reach the raised beds.
Nice start to your garden....happy planting!
Y’all are such a sweet couple. Love seeing you work together. Looking forward to seeing everything grow. Be sure and tell Austin I said GO DAWGS! Take care and God bless y’all! 😀❤️
That’s a lot of work but you know how happy you will be this Summer! It’s going to look so beautiful out front. Those raised beds are very nice looking. Austin worked hard getting that bed level. Good job both of you.

Austin and you did a great job on getting them beds set up. I watch a guy from Australia that has used those types of metal beds for many years. He recently posted a video of how his beds after the woods logs and sticks he originally put in had composted and caused his metal walls to cave in. He had to dig out where the metal rods were and install braces to keep the metal walls from caving inward. His channel is “Self Sufficient Me”. It might be useful to watch his fix so in the event it happens y’all will know what to do to fix it.
YOUR LANDSCAPING WILL LOOK SO WONDERFUL WITH ALL THE BEDS PLACED AND FILLED....YOU BOTH ARE HARD WORKERS....GOD BLESS YOU BOTH ❤ ♥
I knew you reminded me of someone, but I couldn't think of who it was until today. You look like Winona Ryder when she was in her 20s. You both are so naturally pretty!

This was a very enjoyable video to watch. Great job you two! God Bless!!!
Hey Gal, have a nice Saturday ! Your hubby also .
This is really exciting! Your beds are looking nice!
I was so glad to get this video today. I was thinking about doing a Back to Eden Garden but that is very labor-intensive starting with the newspapers and layers of compost, and wood chips, and topped with well rotten manure. I love configurations and colors of these raised beds and looks like you can save a lot of labor and get to the growing 💗

That’s why we chose the raised beds, to get growing faster 😁
This is making me so excited for spring! I love how you make the most of it the space and amount of sunlight you have. Wishing you the most successful grow year yet! Also, could I borrow Austin for a morning? I have some problem shrubs I need help with! LOL
You can throw cardboard ( trip to the recyclers or Dollar General ) in there too
I have been divorced for 24years .raised my girls and one of my grandbabies lives with me she's 6and I homeschool and then she is my helper I am the only one that does the garden.i was so happy for the bit of warm weather we had but my outside list is as long has my leg .sooooo pray I can get it all done .
Good way to take care of them leaves
Beautiful! Loved it!

Doing them in non wax paper cups , just tear bottom off when ready to replant them the paper will compost. I hv seen people use tongs in the trays to remove them . I been wanting those exact raised planter beds . Lovely
I just built me my first raised bed last year! Man that thing flourished! I’m hoping for good results this year too… y’all’s looks good! Hope y’all’s does as good too! Just learned that husqvarna quit making tillers… I gotta fix a tine on mine. I’d never thought husqvarna woulda quit making tillers…!👍
