When all the training advice has been given, I'll watch this channel just for Mike's views on anything. I could and sometimes do, listen to these videos over and over.
The example he give about the home and walls and accessories is BRILLIANT. He breaks it down so joe average and even advanced people have something to relate it to. Well done as usual sir!
This was a good demo, Pull day tomorrow, can't wait, my back muscles already twitching.
So much nuance. This is why I won’t watch a lot of other content creators. They never explain it like Mike. The house analogy was brilliant. Like the “long road” analogy.
Big Mike is fixing the fitness industry one row at a time. Seriously appreciate the wisdom, awesome advice/ content.
Thanks for this one, I’ve been struggling with these and looks like you weren’t the only one instructing today. Props to Antoine.
For a 57 year old who loves weight lifting as a hobby and now for health, I've learned so much from your suggestions/advice. My back and back workouts have never been better! Thank you Mike.Wish I knew some of these things in my 20's.
😂😂 The INTRO KILLS ME 😂😂
Finding this channel is huge for me. I’m 40 years old. I’ve been lifting for 12 years. Mostly powerlifting. But 100% of it was done wrong. I’m a decent size human. That doesn’t matter because I’ve left size on the table simply because I don’t know how to actually lift. Been doing rows wrong for 12 years. Awesome channel….thanks
Tried my absolute best to do stick to this form today as it was back day and my god my back is sore already 😂 amazing advice, thanks big man 💪🏻 keep it up, you’re helping many people with these videos!
Great tips, Mike. Useful as always. I feel my back pumped even watching this
As a women I appreciate the details to correct my form 🙏🏽 gracias.
Sometimes your explanations lose me because I'm not too bright, but this one was massive help. Thanks Mike!
What a great tutorial. Love the level of detail you call out while keeping it understandable.
7:50 lol truth hurts :))
Thank you so much Mike.
This was awesome. Thank you
All these vids are amazing being a powerlifter my assistant work has taken a major turn since watching mike
Another killer video, thanks for putting these out Mike 💪🏻
Literally like going back to school. Love it.
Mike is so natural .. thank you
The tips on the Barbell row were spot in. I could feel it in my back just using the bar. 😅
Thanks Mike, the info is priceless, again, thank you
Love the detailed information once again you teached us proper rows
I would love to be able to train with him for just a week or two. I'm 49 and just now getting into strength training, yeah a decade or two late but hey at least I'm doing it.

"Meanwhile you're not growing already" the greatest.
Exceptional content, great info to roll with Mike 👏👍
Found this man today and even after this video i know im going to make gains in the right areas ! 30 years off doing barbell rows wrong 😂.
Crazy training 🔥🔥
Watched you train regan grimes numerous times you are one of the most knowledgeable coaches I have ever watched #subscribed
one of the best videos yet 💪®️ GOAT
That’s very true for me. Holding that posture was really hard for me to hold. I tried to have good form like you show and was surprised how hard it was.
Thanks coach
Never stop
gotta watch this again before the next back workout
Good tips. I have indeed sometimes pulled the barbell (I have no machines) into that hunched position. I will correct that. Thanks.
I've always followed hany rambond style of training since I begun training, he also always stressing form and technique before weight, but now we have your channel aswell its great as u go into further detail into the bio mechanics of every lift and it had all just resonated with me so well and now my gains for a natural lifter have been better then my pals on gear who are not training correct.. Now they think I'm on the gear 😂 Gained a solid 8lb muscle tissue in 10 months and I'm actually lower bf and lifting less weight then I previously have in years b4. Mind boggling, mind muscle connection really is the difference in body building 👌
Just telling the truth. Great info. Great video.
Thanks i was doing it good but i was seasing popul at the gym dow8ng it difrint but now is see i was dowing it good thanks
Best vid yet 💪 FART ARMY
Pulling into your hunch. Every video has that 1 fucken golden nugget
Great info as always!! It's awesome to get all the tips and tricks. Btw assholes at my gym do the same billshit with the independent arm cable row even though the combined one is right next to it 😂
Big Mike I do bent over rows at the smith machine. The most I do is 45 per side. I feel it more than at the squat rack.
No I’m not gonna deadlift what do I look mentally ill? Starting the video off with a banger 😂😂
“Should be murdered and left by a dumpster. Jesus….” I. F’n . Lost it lol.

You don't realize how big Mike really is until you see him next to someone like Antoine. He's even as big as Regan.
MIKE REMINDS ME OF A CROSS BETWEEN BLOOD N GUTS DORIAN YATES AND RICH PIANA. I LOVE THIS NO BULLSHIT APPROACH. ❤AUSTRALIA
I get into the same position for Deadlifting and then extend knees until the Bar starts to get tension.then pull ..seems to work with my structure..if that makes sense...
Antoine calves - mind blowingly biig :D
Many thanks Mike, but many times I am struggling asking for my self "is this the right setting up" AT THIS TIME, coz the result I can't see this time tough. Please explain it in simple word, coz my English is not good. Thanks Mike
Damn Antoines Calves stole the show Mike
i was just wondering is pendley rows better than barbell rows. ??
Hahaha that intro tho.
Is there a time and a place to work towards a 90 degree bend to isolate the lat more for the bb row? I constantly find myself in the posture that you show here. So I've tried to change the form.
he sounds just like the hulk in this intro
God damn Antoine looks huge
On the way to getting fucking huge with these tips👊

Binge watching all of these. Amazing tips that you think would be common sense but are actually nuanced. Keep it simple but addressing all the necessary details, I like the bit about warming up by getting into posture for bb rows with an empty bar or maybe a plate. Good idea
Absolutely perfectly explained. If you can't understand this then go do crossfit 😂😂
I wonder what would be the difference with a Yates row? With the Yates row, the hips and legs are also locked into position like this one, but with the Yates row the upper body should also be locked at around a 45 degree angle. Sometimes when Yates corrected someone on his row, it was not to rock the upper body/change the angle, position of it. Just curious what would be the difference/effect on back development between the two.
@stanvickery

The Yates row hits the upper back a lot more and also the biceps as he used an underhand grip
I'm ready for my hard dose of reality 😢
Who was that guy in the black shorts and Tee with monster 👿 calves
We want all this in writing. Where's the Book Mike? 😁
Antoine Vaillant looking big af! 2:44
Is it mandatory that everybody in the gym in Canada has the word black clothing?
I have a serious question I’m hoping I can get help on. I’ve been working out for years now and lately (for the past few months) when I do back it’s like I don’t feel my back as much as I used to.. not sure why. I think I have something wrong around my mid trap area it’s like I get a pain in there when doing back and really extending and letting my upper back round (on machines for the stretch) anyone else have this problem..? Or should I maybe try to see a sports physical therapist?

And before anyone says anything I’ve tried going super light weight and I’ve also tried using heavier weight, don’t get me wrong I DONT NOT feel my back but I’m not feeling it as much as I want to idk maybe it’s just a mind to muscle thing I’m not sure I just want answers cause it’s hindering my progress lately 😔

You might have restricted ROM somewhere. If I had to take a random guess you lack mobility in your chest or lack thoracic rotation (basically tight in traps and mid bakc). Idk if you have but try foam rolling and opening up your back before working on it. Hope this kinda helps.

Try hanging from a pull up bar to decompress your spine then do your back day
@brennon9755

@@fpsgamerr2552 I’m curious if that may be the reason why now.. but at the same time idk cause one thing I really focus on in the gym is full ROM I absolutely despise half reps 😂 I can go all the way down on chest day on all pressing movements so I’m not sure(?) I actually love to do deep incline presses with dumbbells where you touch pretty much the side delt
"Not everything needs to be done for attention". But you sure as heck need to let everyone know lmao
New T-shirt “Murdered and left by a dumpster!”
😂😅🤣 This episode was gold in so many ways. Info and comedy. The Wycked Chicken Pull dance at around 5 min. The frustrated cursing afterwards. Later the sideways glances mid-sentence possible look of disgust or confusion at WTF someone was doing out of view. Deleting all memory of nonsense and continuing on with the sentence without missing a beat. At least that's what I thought happened. Anyways great info. Love the channel!
Did anyone notice the calves in the background at the 3 min mark? Whoa 😲
I WISH I had tyrannosaurus traps…instead I got these scrawny tyrannosaurus arms and small velociraptor legs
Most people use way too much weight. And dont get a full range of motion. Also people jerk the weight instead of lifting with your actual back. I see it all the time on lat pulldowns also.
FIRST
I think I did your F.A.R.T trsining wrong. My gym membership was revoked yesterday.
Lower the weight is terrifying...
I always feel like a pussy in a regular gym lol Cuz there are MEN AND WOMEN be lifting so heavier than me especially on leg presses 😂 But guess what I got Mike to keep my ego in checked 😂
Stop telling me what to do………just kidding, thanks for another great video Mike.

@@Suragohe said he "...never really feel it help." It is his opinion. If you felt it everywhere, good for you. But if you "literally dead the next day", as what you said as literal, you are over train. If you are dead the next day you will not be able to your pushing work out and cardio and recover to go to your job.

Brilliant video! I'm mind blown everytime when I hear you say stuff that I have been saying for 20years and people thought I'm crazy. Man, 95% of what you say is what I say and it is correct. I'm not sure about "Rear Delt is more about stretch than contraction" but apart from that I pretty much agree with you on every word. Crazy.
