Setons Über Pro Rated | Friday Nights Just Went Nuclear

Here's what's gonna happen... You're intrigued by the fact:
Less than 5% of all players will ever achieve a 2K rating. Fewer than 1% ever get 2,200 - Todays Game Shows Us Why!
So sit & relax as you enjoy the Best Supreme Commander game since all the bother with endless desyncs this last couple weeks. My hats go off to the FAF Lobby Team who work tirelessly to try resolve these issues, and give us the best RTS game ever made.

Finding out you enjoy these casts MAKES MY DAY. I also appreciate comments from people who point out where I'm going wrong, and what I can improve. They are responsible for many of the positive changes to the channel.
I've setup a way to support the channel for anyone willing to do so. I love casting games, and certainly don't require financial incentive to press record. If people enjoy my video content, and wish to help meet some of the costs involved, then great, and if it ever extends to the point it allows me to devote more time to casting, then the magic really begins. Leaving a tip behind is welcome, not expected. Thanks to Tommy for helping with channel artwork.

More information on Game / FAF community:
For those who like what they see, but aren’t entirely sure if they heard right, yes Forged Alliance is a game that’s 15 years old. You heard right, Fifteen! Kept alive & thriving, thanks to a fantastic team of people (where those words actually mean something). Check out FAForever (dot) com for information & quick start guide. The game is cheap enough on the steam store.
Legal: Tactical Takeover - this channel - found at / @fafcast is my own take as a "FAN / Commentary Channel". Any official FAF assets (including logo, name, lobby or core game) that feature in the making of this video should be seen as an incidental part of casting the game.

Finally, thank you for giving up some of your precious time today, I hope in return I made this hour we've spent a little brighter. Also, if you read this far, you’re something else! Then again, I wrote this far, so guess that makes 2 of us.

They were being pushed on all fronts, it was only going one way from that point and they knew it. The salvation would destroy their airgrids next and apart from the scathis they had nothing else left.

I was a front Setons player, before all the new maps came along, and we considered it to be (almost) a separate game. I don't think it's quite as radical a different these days, with so many more maps that help blur the lines.

cZar is just like the russian tsar. Great cast! And what a disappointing end. Well, not all games can have the epic end-game back-and-forth. And the section where foley got the nuking under control was very enjoyable. And quite balanced, I have to say!

I didn't want to draw attention to it, I did consider blurring that portion of the screen, only because it was so early on. Ultimately I'm against censorship, and I think people should be same to say what they like, but doesn't mean the rest of us HAVE TO LIKE IT.

He does a better job than most. He once said it is much harder to describe the process of driving a car, instead of doing it.

Before I cast my 1st game, I watched maybe 1,000 in total, including Gyle, Willow & others, inc old timers like TA4Life. I agree that one of the most frustrating thing was casters spending too much time zoomed in on pointless stuff. "Move the effin camera!" Had been shouted at the TV more than once over the years. Just as bad, the videos zooming in & out far too quickly (it's fine if you do it yourself, but watching someone else hurts - I think this is what hurts official FAF channel so much, at least that's why I find it hard to watch). I only mention those 2 things, because it's a trade-off, and in busy games with ten things happening at once, there's only so much anyone can cover. As players we can easily glance at the screen for less than a second, and gain many pieces of information, but it's impossible to cast at this rate. I glance at the screen for the same second, and find the most relevant or interesting aspect of the game. I don't always get it right, but I give it my best shot. The analogy one that fell gives a is a good one, I don't recall saying it but trying to describe the motions involved in driving a car, Vs doing it subconscious is a pretty good analogy. I'm by no means trying to explain away why I can't do better - I can always do better, and I'm always looking to improve. However this really is an important to me, and I try to minimise the cinematics as much as possible for this reason, especially when there's anything else going on that might be missed. I'm aware it's a very long answer, but you deserve it, as does anyone else who may be newer to the channel, and perhaps assumed casters just miss things cos they're lazy or blind. If someone's not convinced, I highly recommend trying to cast a busy game yourself, then watch it back and see :-)

How about you try to make your comment constructive instead of just slinging shit? These casters put in a ton of work to put these casts out, for our enjoyment and for free. Seeing as you stream yourself why don't you take up @fafcast suggestion and do your own cast?! I'm happy to watch it and give some feedback ;)

It's tempting and entirely understandable to provide criticism like this. There are no easy answers I have learned. I do feel, however, that if a caster misses 2 or more important events in a row, then perhaps edit that part out and narrate that part again. Or pre-analyze.
