I contacted setina about my 2006 f150 2wd. They informed me they no longer make them for these trucks. I found one on marketplace from a 2014 f150 4x4. It bolted right in placeon my 2wd frame and sits perfect on my truck. It is taller. You see about an inch and a half sticking up above the hood.

Looks good, the Setina ones look the best out of some of the other brands (Go Rihno, Pro-Gard etc..) I always laugh when I see trucks and SUV's wih the factory "Brush Guard" which is basically a trim piece and would protect against driving over a small shrub at most.... These are actually secured to the frame of the car and designed to push other disabled vehicles out of the road.

With removing the tow hooks, do you think you could still pull/tow from the bar without bending the brackets?

Can this be installed with a spot light on a civilians truck? I have an 04 Ford exploer and want the spot light for mudding and the push bar just adds a nice look to the front

It's not really necessary, I just made the bolts fairly tight.

For my vehicle in particular, a 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek, a lot of bumper bar designs do protect, but unlike them, law enforcement-proven designs from brands such as Setina offer the only option available in the USA that is USA-made, designed to actually push other vehicles without damaging disabled-vehicle's paint, and does not interfere with airbag deployment. However, you mentioned at 1:17 that Setina specifically manufactures the part for one's own vehicle. However, I perceive this as American vehicles that are currently or formerly in use as widespread public safety vehicles. Unfortunately, my vehicle is not such a platform listed on any such application. I would imagine I would be given the cold shoulder for my vehicle...

After some searching on questions regarding various applications of functional push bars, I must concede to the reality that, as I had previously suspected, vehicles without widespread and/or significant public safety fleet use will not have any options whatsoever. My only option is to snag a used unit and have locally custom-made brackets to fit to an unlisted application.

You could try buying a used PB400 off ebay or craigslist and modifying a bracket for it to fit your vehicle. I bought one and made a bracket for my John Deere Gator!

As nice as the PB400 is and how much I like the look, I'm trying to go with a low-profile design like the Setina PB100 or PB 200. The problem is, they are no local options available for me on craigslist, and ebay's listings are pretty slim on Setina products for those models.

Setina makes it to order, takes about 5 weeks to receive it after the order is placed.

Does it hold up when you Hit a Bull with it? Gotta go test it out, get going at least 55-70 mph and hit a 3-10 year old Bull, and let us know if It's worth the money.

What is custom about this push bar? My buddy wants to sell me his. Will it fit my 07 F150?

Setina makes a different one for each vehicle, wait time is about 1 month. Some bars are "universal" the only difference being the mounting brackets. Yes, the one on my truck will fit any 2004[non heritage] - 2008 F-150 as far as I know. They did ask me about tow hooks, not sure if that makes a difference. My truck had them, which I removed.

Is this sturdy enough to push a car?

When it all boils down to it, all bull bars are useless. They can't handle any significant load, they will only get pushed into your front end in an accident, and they utilize the only useful mounting point on the front of the vehicle.

I would say that's accurate for most bars... this one is fairly stout... My plan is to weld up some tow-hook mounts to work with the bar (which will never happen.... project #482 for me!)

There's a difference between push bars and bull bars. Push bars (like in this video) are used on police cars for a reason.

Maybe say private security? It was a few years back, I ordered over the phone. They only have it available for certain vehicles, and they make them per-order. I suspect they are going to phase-out older vehicles as most law-enforcement vehicles are pretty new.

Beautiful! After watching videos of rioters pulling out drivers and beating them, I'm planning to install these on my Ram 1500. I'll just plow through rioters. Better to be in jail than getting beaten to death.

Welds on the brackets look pretty bad. Not a very good weld.

It's VERY well made, most of the welds look great to me, some aren't perfect. Some evidence of heat transfer on the end sides.
