Heightened Living.. You can say that again...
Already Kant knew and wrote about it. Many people prefer stability over freedom. that’s why it’s hard to change the system for the benefit of the humans. Your channel is awesome and an eye opener. thanks
I find so much wisdom in this video, Seth Godin is amazing. I love his way of seeing things and unlocking ideas. His work is definitely remarkable
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We need everyone in the universe to hear this. They should show this videos in schools.
Aim high & work smart & hard. Be responsible & give credit. Got it. Thank You!
This man is such a great thinker. What he says is transparently clear and cuts deep. Thank you Seth Godin for sharing your thoughts.
Oh my god Tom... I loved the episode so much and this edited part of the speech is just AMAZING ! As always, you're doing a great job and making us discover incredible people ! Thanks !!
These are the words which I am going to tell everyone.. Everytime I see it always refreshes my thought Thankyou for everything♥️
WOW! So much to unpack in this short video. Wow!
I’m such a big fan of Seth Godin. I feel like I could hear him speak for hours.
So grateful for Seth to share his wisdom. And I feel all of us can vouch for what he said by looking at our experience of life. My mantra has always been "live for something bigger than yourself", I'm glad to have found his content, makes the journey far more enjoyable.
Beautiful! Made me cry.
Wow, that was so powerful. (repeats video) Wow, that was so powerful. (Repeats video)
Beautifully and perfectly said Seth. This video and message is so important especially during the current times we’re living in
THIS IS EVERYTHING!!
Great advice. Reminds me of my great grandmother saying "Respect will take you places money won't!" We all have the opportunity to choose how we respond to situations. Right choices yield right results. Bad choices yield bad results. Make the choice to be kind and to operate from a place of love.

I love that saying! Yes!
I had been waiting for this and it was so worth the wait. The build up to this was so exciting. Thank You.
Just discovered Seth. I'm in awe😍
The system was step up so that you could be an average person. In reality no one is average. Everyone is very unique in their own way and everyone has potential in whatever it is they want to be good at. There are somethings you must UNLEARN in order to grow and become your greatest version 🙏🏽

Ty Speaks America is that way. A friend of mine finished grueling coursework in law school and then dumbed down his career so he didn’t get put in that tax bracket where he’d have to pay all his money to the government...He hovered right below the mark...as an example.
Thank you! What a beautiful guide for how to live life on life’s terms and to become the beautiful person you are meant to be. I need to listen to this on a frequent basis to reinforce these values.
Amazing talk! Looking forward to listening to more of him and this channel!
This is life-changing. Thank you so much.
Absolutely EVERYTHING!!!
No words, just love it, I love what you do!
Seth Godin is a pure blessing to the human race!!!
i heard him tell that story years ago already, but it is still just as powerful. it makes me believe in my vision and my desire to fly high. i know working on youtube i could be part of the problem as well, but i am convinced i can also make my contribution to solve the problem.
Seth Godin is the teacher that everyone should have. he makes you think outside the box and it is important to remember that when society has way too much tools to influence us.
Such short time, yet such a Powerful message that came through.
wow...every word is loaded with truth and power....thanks....
Wow. I can't believe, the title of this video it really does justice. Amazing speech, so clear and honest
I truly enjoyed his talk!
I loved the full interview but this cut works so well to drive home Seth's points
Such power message !
Big fan of Seth! Thank you for reminding me to dust off his books and give them a fresh new peruse for the 2018 me!
Loved this episode.
I needed to hear the last sentence..... Thank you
The perfect story of risk management
u always inspire the world TOM ! INDIA loves u
This snippet, minus the dramatic music, is the true guts of why I think a conversation between Seth and Jordan Peterson would have a profound impact on the lives of anyone who is grappling with the questions about meaning and self worth and all the things that we are trying to do and be in life that is genuine, not perfect.Human, not just a cog in the wheel. Creative, not dull and repetitive. The Dr. Peterson and could probably change the axis of the planet if they combined their efforts for a lecture or two.
Love it and there is truth in it
Beautiful
Great video- thank you!!!
Amazing advice and enlightenment
He is so great 😊💖
When I heard that I really wanted to cry because I realised the truth of being just a cog in the machine just recently and it really hurts. But when you try to stand up for new culture based on value creation everybody go.."Who do you think you are?" But I have learned that if courage is my value, than I have to keep practising the skill of creating value even if at the moment everybody are sceptical and judgemental.
I needed to hear this
So good!!!
I Love these
Ahhh truly inspiring, Seth!
It's absolutely fine to live a humble life, to do the dull job, it all hinges on your currency for fulfillment.
Education means "OBJECTIVELY observe while PARTICIPATING to see different outcomes, reason why the differences are and to communicate your findings with others." Thus the key to success is KNOWING BOTH SIDES AND THE JOINING POINT OF ALL THINGS.
This is very good. At school I was all about the test, now I'm pursuing my CCNA, and I don't even stop to think a little about the test. I know I'm going to do fine, because of how much unbelievable effort I'm putting towards this learning. In school I'd always say "I have to study" Now I'm saying "I'm learning" and it's so different
Awesome
I have hustled and ended up burning the candle at both ends. The system doesn't care as long as it can get something from you. Learn to think smarter and not learn not to overextend yourself.
Seth is MAGIC! I have ALWAYS thought exactly as does he and it has been most difficult to grow in this way due to the fact that most are not easily open to such a deep connection to being the best person they can be. To quote the artist, Kele Lyn Volpino “We must push others to see their truth to the point of irritation for when one becomes aggravated by such invocations they are being poked on the shoulder into awakening from their comfortable “sleep-wake” life however an otherwise lack of acknowledgement identifies them as quite simply being not ready for such upheavals of growth. We must grasp firmly that being the best person we can be is the ONLY requirement of our existence, it must be a selfless act as it is not done only for one person, nothing should be for you alone but for ALL whom surround you, as doing so defines ones truth, ones underlying thread that inevitably connects each “one” to the “whole” the ALL of humanity.”
I love it
Love from India
What a cool guy
Wow..
You have a choice!
I'm finishing "So good they can't ignore you" so next will be, naturally, "Linchpin". So useful!!!
Awesome :)
Heyy.. awesome
Fly high.
Wow
That is indeed a timely message from Seth Godin because we are moving into an era where AI and robotics will become all of the "little cogs" and humans will not be needed to perform "work" therefore it really is vitally important that people learn to discover what it is that means most to them and take it as far as they can, because without that meaning in our lives we will have no purpose and fall into the fatal trap of self destructive sensory hedonism. You need to do more than have a rich experience you need to be creative, to value add.

Daniel Matthews.... Have been pondering on exactly what you said.. for the last couple of weeks
Seth is brilliant. Can the background music be lower? It's hard to hear what Seth is saying!
🙏
It's not that don't fly too up because I personally believe in flying up and i think each and every human should think in that way that they are born to flying up not to limit a self within a certain condition or something and one more thing we don't have waxes on our wings it's all about thinking.
The background music is driving me NUTS!!!!! I doesn't need it!

great speech, inspiring the best in our deepest desires... Thank you, BUT why have this background music all the time that covers his words and we lose the meaning of the speech. Please could you change this?
I have often marveled at how many details my son knows about Magic the Gathering cards/decks, and thought if only we could 'gamify' chemistry/physics/so many other things. I find the piano distracting, otherwise, love the clip.

Agree the piano is distracting but take heart, learning is being gamified, but slower than I thought it would be.

That piano might as well be the first step to 'gamifying' learning. Like no one is being grilled to pay attention. I became aware of the piano in the last minute when I read this comment.. I guess it depends with what you've optimised for in the moment. I listen to a lot of piano on Calm (the app), I suppose I'm able to factor it out
Tom please be my online mentor!!

All I can say and feel is WOW,,, Mr. Godin brought me to watch @GaryVee and Mr. Gary Vee lead me back to @SethGodin
Message is great. Piano in the background is distracting, though.
What piano instrumental is this??? Can you Please respond! Thank you!!!
dont wait for others follow yourself inspiriation to realise your own dream.

Enjoyed the speech, but the background music was actually foreground music, and it was irritating :(
He probably read john Taylor's Gattos book on schooling
What’s with the music ??
the music is too loud.
Hey, i lost my job recently and in trying to build a motivational youtube channel to make some money... am i doing good so far.?
The music on this video is overpowering the voice.
Dr. Gunter Zolof is pissing me off LoL these damn ads
Why is this video on such a low view count!!!????
I'm wondering what is a better economic system to him. I hope it is one with less government intervention.

Love Seth and Tom, but this background music is annoying :/

Why the fucking music! ?
Not sure what he means. It all sounds good. Abstract, I don't get the guy. If I do this, instead of that, then good things will happen.

The original interview lasts 40 min or so; you can find it posted by the same channel.
Corporations shipped jobs to China -- a Communist Dictatorship with no labour or environmental laws (totally opposite to the democratic structures we put in place). So let's bring those "shitty" jobs back. "Mandatory" education ensured that people could read. So let's honour that -- a LOT of people worked for this. Evolve education, sure. But don't dis it.

m.k. jaks Are they still doing all those “worker retraining” programs for in “demand jobs”?, calling it “free money”? Was a great idea. However while someone’s unemployed, going to school for retraining on government grants that require they sit in 4years of college to complete , During this time they may collect unemployment benefits while getting a “free” education (That was the clincher in their recruitment pitch). Is a total waste of time & money for all of us. These programs are particularly partial to anyone who’s not American. If you already have a 4 year degree (but can’t use it for an in demand job) and want to take grad-level Continuing education (6months vs 4 years) that’s on your own dime, Though I found a work around. Having an education already also put you at the bottom of the applicant pile. If you own property that’s considered too. Never mind that you didn’t need a bailout b/c you thought with your brain & Took out a loan you knew you could pay off instead of what was offered…They will also look at your parents income while they’re looking at your application even if you are in your late 30s. I found out a lot during the time I was trying to figure out my next steps in the workforce... I concluded that white middle-class Americans who’ve tried to do the right thing...are shit out of luck.
If only this irritating background music weren't there, it would be much more clear and effective.
Could do without the musical soundtrack to this. Content is enough that it doesn't need emotional spoon feeding "dramatic tension" music.
that music omg sooooo annoying
