Great advice. Reminds me of my great grandmother saying "Respect will take you places money won't!" We all have the opportunity to choose how we respond to situations. Right choices yield right results. Bad choices yield bad results. Make the choice to be kind and to operate from a place of love.

The system was step up so that you could be an average person. In reality no one is average. Everyone is very unique in their own way and everyone has potential in whatever it is they want to be good at. There are somethings you must UNLEARN in order to grow and become your greatest version 🙏🏽

This snippet, minus the dramatic music, is the true guts of why I think a conversation between Seth and Jordan Peterson would have a profound impact on the lives of anyone who is grappling with the questions about meaning and self worth and all the things that we are trying to do and be in life that is genuine, not perfect.Human, not just a cog in the wheel. Creative, not dull and repetitive. The Dr. Peterson and could probably change the axis of the planet if they combined their efforts for a lecture or two.

When I heard that I really wanted to cry because I realised the truth of being just a cog in the machine just recently and it really hurts. But when you try to stand up for new culture based on value creation everybody go.."Who do you think you are?" But I have learned that if courage is my value, than I have to keep practising the skill of creating value even if at the moment everybody are sceptical and judgemental.

Education means "OBJECTIVELY observe while PARTICIPATING to see different outcomes, reason why the differences are and to communicate your findings with others." Thus the key to success is KNOWING BOTH SIDES AND THE JOINING POINT OF ALL THINGS.

I know I'm going to do fine, because of how much unbelievable effort I'm putting towards this learning. In school I'd always say "I have to study" Now I'm saying "I'm learning" and it's so different

Seth is MAGIC! I have ALWAYS thought exactly as does he and it has been most difficult to grow in this way due to the fact that most are not easily open to such a deep connection to being the best person they can be. To quote the artist, Kele Lyn Volpino “We must push others to see their truth to the point of irritation for when one becomes aggravated by such invocations they are being poked on the shoulder into awakening from their comfortable “sleep-wake” life however an otherwise lack of acknowledgement identifies them as quite simply being not ready for such upheavals of growth. We must grasp firmly that being the best person we can be is the ONLY requirement of our existence, it must be a selfless act as it is not done only for one person, nothing should be for you alone but for ALL whom surround you, as doing so defines ones truth, ones underlying thread that inevitably connects each “one” to the “whole” the ALL of humanity.”

That is indeed a timely message from Seth Godin because we are moving into an era where AI and robotics will become all of the "little cogs" and humans will not be needed to perform "work" therefore it really is vitally important that people learn to discover what it is that means most to them and take it as far as they can, because without that meaning in our lives we will have no purpose and fall into the fatal trap of self destructive sensory hedonism. You need to do more than have a rich experience you need to be creative, to value add.

That piano might as well be the first step to 'gamifying' learning. Like no one is being grilled to pay attention. I became aware of the piano in the last minute when I read this comment.. I guess it depends with what you've optimised for in the moment. I listen to a lot of piano on Calm (the app), I suppose I'm able to factor it out

Corporations shipped jobs to China -- a Communist Dictatorship with no labour or environmental laws (totally opposite to the democratic structures we put in place). So let's bring those "shitty" jobs back. "Mandatory" education ensured that people could read. So let's honour that -- a LOT of people worked for this. Evolve education, sure. But don't dis it.

m.k. jaks Are they still doing all those “worker retraining” programs for in “demand jobs”?, calling it “free money”? Was a great idea. However while someone’s unemployed, going to school for retraining on government grants that require they sit in 4years of college to complete , During this time they may collect unemployment benefits while getting a “free” education (That was the clincher in their recruitment pitch). Is a total waste of time & money for all of us. These programs are particularly partial to anyone who’s not American. If you already have a 4 year degree (but can’t use it for an in demand job) and want to take grad-level Continuing education (6months vs 4 years) that’s on your own dime, Though I found a work around. Having an education already also put you at the bottom of the applicant pile. If you own property that’s considered too. Never mind that you didn’t need a bailout b/c you thought with your brain & Took out a loan you knew you could pay off instead of what was offered…They will also look at your parents income while they’re looking at your application even if you are in your late 30s. I found out a lot during the time I was trying to figure out my next steps in the workforce... I concluded that white middle-class Americans who’ve tried to do the right thing...are shit out of luck.
