Lixada Large Stainless Steel Stove

Agenda Free Link : www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01...
Price : $29.00
Weight of stove : 1lb 1.7oz
Weight of storage bag : .5oz
Sizes : There are multiple sizes and variants of this stove including smaller version and even a titanium version of this stove - This is the Large Stainless Steel Stove and it measures :
Small
medium
large
some versions come with an alcohol stove and cost a good bit more
Lixada also has different stoves which feature a more boxy design
Measurements :
Setup : 6.5” wide x 7.5” tall with pot supports
Folded : 7” wide x 7.25” long x .25” thick
……
Review Pros :
Large size stove
Good price
Good quality
Smooth edges
Stainless steel construction
Good size storage bag - big enough to easily fit the components into it
Weight isn’t bad considering the size
setup process is straight-forward
Plenty of air holes
raised legs so it can sit on all types of surfaces without issues
once it is put together it stays together
large fuel chamber
Feeding this stove is very, very easy and can be done from the top of the center plate.
Accepts large pieces of wood
Easy to Lite
Review Cons :
setup with this style of stove is somewhat cumbersome and gloves aren’t a terrible idea easilu as you use the stove and there is some natural warpage.
Summary :
This is a good stove for those who like to burn wood and want a larger stove to work with. This is made for large pots, big pans and would be great for larger groups. Before purchasing this stove, I would ask yourself whether or not you need the size as it is large.
Should be mentioned that the design isn’t anything unique or special and in fact, there are many companies who make the same product but with a different company logo on it. This is the least expensive version that I have seen but it wouldn’t surprise me at all if there was another company out there who was selling it for less.
Performance is good, it’s of a large size, can burned for a long time and can put out a lot of heat.

I bought a small lixada several years ago. It is hinged on 3 sides and folds together easily. It also came with the insert where you can put an alcohol stove in it, so it’s basically a 3 in 1 if you use fuel tabs. It folds down to about the size of a piece of bread. It is one of those items that goes with me every trip. I love mine.

I've been using this stove now for awhile backpacking to reduce my alcohol fuel use. If you keep the front side off the stove it fits an alcohol stove inside with your pot as well and acts as a wind screen. Great versatile unit.

I have been using the Lixada medium size stove for about 4 years. It has always worked well for me, having all the pros and cons you discussed here with it's big brother. The fact that it is a little hard to snap together though is also the reason why it stays together when in use. So, IMO that's a wash. Having no other wood burning stoves in my arsenal, I sought this video out to see what you thought about it. I'm happy to see my past research and purchase was a good one. All in all, I've been VERY happy with it as it consumes very little fuel to make a meal. I have placed it right in my firepit while camping and cooked dinner with it and used the embers to start up a campfire after my meal. Thank you again for the great videos!!!

I have the same stove in Titanium. I think it weighs 9 oz with bag/slip.Super easy to carry in a kit. I agree that it is a bit fiddly to assemble, but it doesn’t require a degree. Boils water very quick, and the side port enables you to cook different food, not just dehydrated. Use is as my main stove out kicking around the woods, and have several types including wood gas, isobutane, multi fuel and alcohol.Did a comparison with the wood gas stove with my kids and some scouts and it boiled 750 ml water more quickly. It will scorch the ground (or a park bench 😬) so the warning to be mindful is spot on. I’m no gear reviewer, but it’s sure become my favorite.

I was at Bass Pro Shop yesterday bought a whole bunch of stuff and I almost thought about getting one of these. But I got to remind myself that I have a charcoal chimney starter with a grill insert on the top that works magically and is very light and can be caribbeaned by the handle. I think it's an awesome wood burning stove option as an alternative.

I’ve got the titanium version and tonight just cooked steaks on top. It worked well and gave the steaks a nice woodsy piney flavor. Boiled water and made some Stash Chai tea. The upside is you can walk around the neighborhood and pick up all the free fuel you want. Its like the new version of the flux capacitor and burns anything from tiny twigs to 2” diameter logs. To start it, I ball up a mixture of dry leaves and pine needles and set the ball under some twigs. Starts every time. It is very safe, efficient and fits nicely in my pack. It won’t replace the Jetboil but the Jetboil won’t replace it either.

Early on , this was one of my favorite wood stoves. My only complaint was how difficult it was to get the trivets on and off. I ended up warping them when they were hot trying to get them on and off. Other than that, this stove is amazing. Great weight to size ratio and awesome amount of heat coming out of it. I highly recommend it especially for winter use.

Three negatives, coals fall out the bottom, stainless is heavy and the assembly is fiddly, would be difficult with gloves in cold weather. Appreciate your reviews, Luke. I have this one, the Emberlit , the Firebox, two Solos and another round reburner (can’t remember the name). My favorite is the Solo, Campfire. It’s big; but, so am I. Everything I carry is light except that stove; it’s worth it. I use bigger dry sticks for a Swiss torch like fire, a stand up grill and sometimes a tripod. It’s a dandy. Texas

I also bought a fireproof mat for it, just for safety. I think it's okay if it's hard to put together. This will definitely make it more stable. The embossed parts on the side protect against warping, I think. Overall it looks massive and usable.

Luke I have and love a Lixada Camp wood stove. It is a folding stove. Takes just a few seconds to put it together. It is hinged and has one pin to connect it. It has a plate that you can put in it to use your Trangia type alcohol stove in it. Also an ash plate that you can use for solid fuel tablets. And of course the wood. It works great and is less than 16.00 on Amazon a few minutes ago. A little smaller than the one you have there. Solidly built.

I don't have this stove. What little I have used the twig stoves I have, I find that if you are not in a hurry, they're great. That is, if you are in a non fire restricted zone. I find that if I let the fire burn down to a pile of hot coals, my cook pot stays a lot cleaner. If I place the pot on a freshly built fire, in the yellow flames, it develops a thick black shellac because the pot sweats and collects soot. This mixture then cooks itself to the outside surface of the pot. Anyway, twig stoves are fun to work with. Just have a good sack to store the stove and cookpots in. Thanks for sharing.

I have had the titanium version for about a year and a half and it works great. Mine comes in at 10oz, and as flat as they store you don't need any room at all in your pack. I actually forgot I had mine in my pack while I was getting ready for a trip and pulled it out of an interior pocket...lol.

Definitely looks like the Emberlit lol. I almost bought one but ended up with Firebox Nano. You'd be surprised how big you can go on it for it's size. With something like this however, you won't need to be on top of feeding as much. Great review Luke!

I watched this and determine I was gonna get this one after watching the rest of reviews of some others of yours, I got the titanium one and was wondering if I was doing something wrong assembling it and you had same issues so I feel better about my struggle with the stoves assembly, thanks for the review
