In his interviews, he seems like he has Aspergers. You can tell he's very uncomfortable with looking at other people in the eyes when he's communicating with them - a sign of Aspergers Disease.

+Johnny LaRue 9 times out of 10 you tell if a person has Aspergers by how uncomfortable eye contact makes them, as well as by their handwriting. Ppl with Aspergers Syndrome have very poor handwriting. Adults with Aspergers will have the handwriting of a child. They also have a very narrow range of interests, and rarely care about anything outside of that narrow range.

Excellent Dave, my names John Holt, I competed in the 1971 NABBA Mr universe that Sergio was in he came second to bill Pearl, he beat Reg Park who was third, Sergio was a bit to heavy. Reg Park a bit to light, Bill Pearl. was bang on.! But Sergio was a monster ! ! ! Young Sergio is going to be great! ! maybe another coupla years ..watch out Olympians.

Wow I am so happy for Sergio. After all the hardships and pressures. Sergio has what it takes to win, he deserves to win.

Watching his videos and interviews allows us, the fans to get connected with him and his journey. I'm excited and happy for him! Wishing him Nothing but success on the stage but more importantly off!

Legit had tears in my eyes this kid man! It's crazy how you can feel you know somebody from a book and reading Arnold's Encyclopedia let's you feel that way and to see his son do the double from achieving to winning his qualifying show for a pro and then the pro! No pushy line up either!

Now I can see where he gets his energy from!! His mum seems like a fun loving woman! Congrats!!!

I saw Sergio Oliva Sr. compete in the old Dan Lurie shows in NY back in the 70's. I also saw Sergio in 84 at the Mr. Olympia at MSG when he picked up Sergio Jr. All I can say is good job.

Realistically 5 years to be a serious threat perhaps 4 depending if he stays on track either way he's a breath of fresh air to the sport and a great kid.

I don't care too much for today's bodybuilding but I like Sergio's attitude. Glad he won. And I know it comes with the territory but people should stop comparing him to his dad. Sr. was a 1 in a billion, nobody really compares. But, I hope Jr. can carry on with this momentum.

This guy is DIY in an era where guys can no longer do this. He stays focused, built himself up in those early yrs, and like he said, came into this thing without sponsors. Continued success to him, especially w Aceto at his side. The guy wants history to remember him.

I am happy for him. But now that I have seen more footage, he got a gift. Coming into the show, I didn't think that he had a chance. But he has improved a lot since he won the nationals a couple of years ago. He improved a lot in those 2 years. But I would have had him placing 3rd, at best in this show. He did suck himself down a lot..and that is tough. A lot of guys don't do that any more. Chris Aceto deserves a lot of credit.
