Sergey Utkin | What kind of game-changer is the war in Ukraine?

Professor Stephanie Hoffman, Joint Chair in International Relations and Director of the Europe in the World research area at the Global Governance Programme, organized a workshop on 12-13 October, with the title '𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀', where academics from across the globe shared their views on how the war has influenced European security architectures and what we may expect in the future.
More specifically, this workshop brought together eleven experts in the field of international relations and foreign and security policy to discuss European security architectures in the past and present, as well as scenarios for the future. The workshop's objective was to assess their purpose, their stability/adaptability, their effectiveness, as well as their inclusiveness both in terms of membership and security-related issues.
