Alondra de la Parra es simplemente maravillosa , bella e inspiración ; como artista y como persona. Mi admiración y cariño, por siempre.

Grande interpretazione di una partitura che vuol essere una caricatura, una parodia di quello che fu un glorioso passato....... C'è da dire che il Maestro Alondra de la Parra mostra eccellente talento non solo interpretativo (a tavolino), ma anche concertativo e realizzativo. L'orchestra è controllata perfettamente, l'agogica splendidamente eseguita, gli accenti e il fraseggio sono tipici di una grande direzione. Si noti, solo a titolo di esempio, l'esecuzione del Larghetto: adotta un tempo che potrebbe sembrare lento, ma in realtà è quello giusto perché perfettamente sostenuto. Il virtuosismo orchestrale si evidenzia non solo nei tempi veloci ma forse soprattutto in quelli lenti. Nel primo e nel quarto movimento la giustezza e la magnificenza dell'eloquio orchestrale giunge ad esiti direttamente paragonabili a quelli di un Toscanini.

Makes me think of Celibidache

First and foremost, I wish I could read and write all of these beautiful languages that have posted on this site - my friends from other countries - but alas I cannot. I know it’s a very common thing in Europe to speak multiple languages but in the US we only care for English for some unknown reason. Maybe it’s because we are so far away from everyone except Canada and Mexico. But ya know what we have very much in common regarding language? The universal language of music. And I feel it right now as I listen and watch as de la Parra feels and emits her love and passion for the music in which she conducts. Her work is fabulous and feeds me her passion and energy for this music!

Apparently you have a computer so you have a universal translator at your disposal. Go forth & learn. It's never too late. Именно симфонии наглядно доказывают, что Прокофьев прекрасно знал форму и мог писать такую музыку. Часто гениев путают с людьми, неспособными освоить теорию искусства и от неумения занимающихся сумасбродством. Гении перерастают форму, а бездарности не могут до нее дотянуться и только поэтому идут в отрицание. Обожаю Прокофьева (хотя его сарказмы меня очень задели), дай Бог, чтоб находилось больше людей, умеющих слушать и слышать его музыку! Исполнение просто потрясающее! Очень ярко сыграно, потрясающе понимание музыки, звук записи очень хороший! Я получила удовольствие, ваше исполнение вдохновляет. Я занаво для себя открыла первую симфонию: в вашей игре чувствуется такая лёгкость, такая свобода, спасибо..

Ich beginne den Tag morgens mit ☕ und der wunderbaren Musik und Alondra, ansonsten könnte ich den Wahnsinn hier in Deutschland nicht aushalten.❤❤❤

Alondra leaves her feet and I often wonder how it is that she doesn’t simply float away.

Marvelous performance. The conductor brings out lines in the instrumentation I've not heard so clearly in any other performance. 2hd movement is lovely, so rich and expressive. One of Prokofiev's more accessible works.

I couldn't agree more. It's a great performance. By the way, I love the way that Prokofiev set you to music. The prayer for the dead followed by that awesome choral finale is wonderful! Our local symphony played the score while the Eisenstein film was shown on a screen above the stage.

Correct. The second subject is more or less in the correct tempo. But the opening statement is 25% too slow, which can easily be found out when putting the video at 1.25x speed.
