Shiny. I always knew you were a man of culture and discernment. I’ve seen kits for the Serenity but not recently and they’re expensive when you can find them, so printing it was the smart choice. Excellent build as always. Now all it needs is a Train Job diorama to live in…

OK guys. The show was "Firefly". The ship is a freighter, "fire fly class". Her name is "SERINITY". Those aren't solar panels, they are heat buffers. David is great and the show, FIREFLY (change the name plate to SERINITY) was and is great. The movie SERINITY was and is great. GOR RAM SHINNY!!!!

I wanted to thank David for the tip on using black flexible super glue for filling seams. It has the ideal viscosity, and sands more easily than regular cyanoacrylate. Another useful characteristic is that it turns from glossy to flat when set up so you can tell when it’s ready to sand. It’s now my primary filler. Here in the US I can’t get the brand he uses, but found a brand online called Pega Flex 50 flexible super glue. The label says it was made for shoe repairs.

im spoiled now, you spoiled all of us... all I could think is "Plasmo isnt wiring it with LEDs and intricately carving small bits that nobody will see painted in excruciating detail... hes getting lazy" lol

The most important thing is missing in the cockpit - dinosaurs on a scale of 1:400.

You could maybe do the reavers version from the movie.

Now you need to make some of the reaver ships from the the region around the Planet Miranda. Those ships brought a new meaning to space horror. the Victims of the reavers, after they were finished eating their carcasses were strung up all over their ships, I don't know what would intimidate other ships, if that right there didn't!

Another great build, but still not the fire engine I have been hoping for...

You can simulate solar panels by sprinkling light blue and silver over a navy blue surface. At that scale, you have to use something very small tho. Like half a toothpick, crushed with a hammer, then cut to leave only short fibers.

Never heard of Firefly until now, but the spacecraft seem to be heavily inspired by the work of Stewart Cowley, who in turn took his inspiration from star wars (which released only a year earlier), ships and aircraft, most notably the Concorde.
