Строить Петру было нужно, потому что он хотел порт и военно-морской флот на Балтийском море, удобный узел для торговли с Европой, что было архиважно. Это было самое удобное место для города-порта на то время. С точки зрения морских коммуникаций и базирования город удобный. Насчет затопления, человек и создан природой чтоб менять ее к лучшему, к своим интересам. Любое стихийное бедствие человек может преодолеть, найти от него защиту и для Петербурга это было сделано. В Голландии вообще четверть страны находится ниже уровня моря и отделено от него дамбами и что? Нижний Новгород был важнейшим торговым центром на важнейшей торговой магистрали того времени. Через него шло много грузов и товаров как между севером и югом так и между востоком и западом. И сам бог велел создать там торговую биржу, по-русски - ярмарку. Там заключалось куча сделок, соглашений, контрактов. В Оренбурге и Орске никаких трагедий не было. Наводнения было без жертв и даже без серьезных разрушений. При чем , насколько я знаю, такого давно не было. Это аномалия, которая случается раз в 100 лет. Это может случиться во многих местах, никуда не денешься. Вон Японию постоянно то землетрясения, то цунами бьют, или ураганы в США. И наводнения случаются где угодно по всему миру. Не о чем тут кричать и рвать на себе волосы.

Посмотри фотографии Петербурга 19-го века, это абсолютно пустой город, который восстановили и даже труб печных нет на крышах. Произошло глобальное событие которое привело к затоплению всего и вся, это не отражено под большими слоями цензуры, хотя даже у Л.Толстого это есть в его произведениях. Нижегородскую Ярмарку строили не в том месте где затапливало, но глобальное событие произошло потом, в следствии чего начало регулярно затапливать. Ярмарка была в любом городе России, а в Канавино построили павильоны, которые потом за каким-то xyem разобрали, как и в Париже, как и в Чикаго и ещё в сотне городов. Но если голову включить, чего тебе не удастся никогда, то всё объясняется, даже то, что Лев Толстой понятия не имел что такое картошка, а ты мудило, говоришь что её cykа Пётр завёз.

Очень удивился, когда узнал в какой то передаче об этом, но, похоже, факт. Итак - фанфары... Саратов. I am no expert but BRICS is now bigger than the G7 and are already trading in there own currencies.They are working on a new financial system completely separate from the US which will ultimately mean that no one member will able to use the system to sanction other countries. If BRICS moves completely to not using the US dollar as the world reserve currency it means US may have trouble borrowing in future.The war and illegal sanctions on Russia and confiscation of Russian assets has sped up the change dramatically as most countries are tired of the bullying and it is now the new future. Saudi Arabia have not resigned the agreement since 60s or 70s to use $US to trade in oil and has joined BRICS instead. The BRICS may have their own currency one day but that is extremely complicated so it will work for now maybe on a basket of currencies all partially backed by gold and tangible resources rather than an ‘I owe you’ as the US has done to date with the fiat currency. Russia and Putin is at the forefront of this dramatic change and it will change the world dramatically for the better.

The Brics Games were a multi-sport event organized in Nizhny Novgorod in 2024 that included athletes from BRICS-countries (there are way more than five as the organization has expanded recently) and from countries deemed "friendly" to Russia (as opposed to "unfriendly" countries such as the US and UK). The games have been running for several years but were quite small. The most recent edition was the largest. I guess events like these are where Russian athletes who can't go to the Olympics are going.

The more videos I watch by different people about Russia. I can see it is very beautiful and the people are as beautiful in as many ways. It makes me very sad. Russia is certainly not the monster that it has been made out to be. President Putin seems to achieved something about happiness for his people that many other counties have not. I am also doing some heavy thinking on the cause of what has and is happening between Russia and Ukraine. Ant that not is all what we have been lead to believe.

Russia is a great place and the people are the most hospitable of any people i've ever come across in my travels thru 30+ countries. I backpacked in Russia first but ended up staying for 5 years 2010-2015 because of how great the people were over there. Only left because i had to take care of family back home in Sweden. Will return to RU within a year.

This was probably the most beautiful and romantic video. Architecture, trams, a magnificent embankment and Alfia against the backdrop of sunset to the song “You exist in the world.” Probably one of the most motivating videos about Nizhny Novgorod to visit.

Great video as usual 👍. BRICS is basically countries pulling together to build trade and cooperation amongst countries. It also helps build a multi polar world that helps prevent sanctions and economic attacks on countries from the west. It is built on mutual respect between countries instead of blackmail and threats. That's my understanding of it anyway 😉😄

I love military equipment. Fun fact; many of the trucks and aircraft made in the USSR during WW2 ("Great Patriotic War" in Russia) were licensed copies of contemporary western vehicles. For example, the GAZ-AA truck is basically a local version of the Ford AA.

In Nizhniy never stay in the lower city on the Oka river, the environmental is awful in the industrial districts of Sormovo, Kanavino or Avtozavod. Stay in the upper city on the Volga river where there's no pollution.
