Same. I’m obsessed and now a tennis fan😂 I could watch tennis all day now. The skills it takes to be competitive really impresses/interests me. I wish I was introduced to the sport at a young age, I think I would’ve liked it😭

He left his other family of 5 behind to marry Serena and Venus’ mother and never gave the other kids on his side the time of day. You don’t father children just to leave them in the dust

@ILLEGITIMATE DEMENTED Joe lol. Honestly, when I watched Williams for the first time and dominating, I sometime wonder if that's a man vs woman because it looks unfair. I feel like I am watching a woman with strength of a man against woman and I lost interest in the match. Perhaps she has high level of testosterones? Today, in Olympics they banned females runners from that sort of thing. I know it's a controversial topic but if they can test her and found out she doesn't have high level of testosterones, then her talents is accepted, otherwise there's always the question of what if.

@@reptilexcq2 your statement is obviously racist. Did you feel the same way about Navratilova in the 80's? The DSD athletes in track is also racist because it affect mostly African athletes. Plus there is no test for DSD athletes in any other sports than athletic. Plus Sakkari of Greece is much more ripped than Serena and she isn't close to being number 1 in the world.

This is a remarkable journey. Imagine that in 1998 more than 20 years ago, Serena was just making her debut. Now, she almost holds the record for Grand Slam titles won! This is amazing!

She does hold the record. Court won like 11 gs in the open era and most people who are basically illiterate don't even know the importance of open era and how tough and challenging it is.

Crazy! I just watched Venus debut and she was supper like, jolly and finess. Watching Sereena, she's TOTALLY DIFFERENT! She's all powerful and dominant. JEEZUZ!!!

Mental toughness? Really? She has a history of mental weakness and poor sportsmanship. There are two incidents that stand out: She bullied a lineswoman. She bullied the umpire and indirectly Osaka. She gets undeserved accolades for obvious reasons. To me her legacy is trash even if she wins 30 slams.

After watching the Movie, I've been looking at Serena play every chance I get. AMAZING!

She had speed, power, agility, precision, tenacity, and just checked all of the boxes! She was fearless had confidence and was a machine. Didn't realize how great I had it watching tennis at this time when I was a kid this was all that I knew!

King Richard bought me back to these masterpiece plays . They truly have a gift

Totally agree. I only hope they are more young African Americans that can impact the sport. It's a fantastic sport and great for youth and also people of all ages.

Simply an immense talent. It's so beautiful to see her blossom and to see how shes carved her name in history as one of the best, if not the best tennis players of all time. To think that she and Venus would change the world of tennis forever with their style of tennis. Truly gifted and world-class talent, Serena Williams.

They try to beat her by making her run from one point to another & she gets the ball against all odds & with so much strength the opponent can’t even hit or make it over the net. Love to see it! She proved all these people wrong

And this was before she perfected her serve. They would say the William sisters were all power no finesse, lol. She finesse the heck outta this tournament.

The Willam sisters not only dominated for decades but definitely made Tennis more interesting to watch!! Still in awe of how none of their beads fell to the ground whilst playing this rigorous sport. That's amazing 👏🏾

Immense returner she invented never giving up in the long rallies but all that was talked about is her power. Glad we can watch this greatness for ourself now, and judge for ourselves.

Serena plays so phenomenal. I see why she and Venus so great. I saw King Richard movie and their coach Rick Maci he . Rick treated Serena and Venus just like they were his own kids, plus Richard and Oracene discipline and train and loved them everyday.

Came here after seeing the trailer for King Richard. Hope they deliver bcuz Venus and Serena both deserve it!!

Never knew they played this match. The media must have totally hyped it based on Venus' semi against Spirlea the previous year.

I used to love watching their matches. They were definitely a sensation and a shock at that time.

She began her us open career with a third-round exit and finished her career with a third-round exit. That is kind of powerful. Some kind of spiritual connection if you ask me. Would have liked to see her go all the way, but stuff happens. Thank you, Serena - for everything.

I honestly think Venus could've achieved a lot more if it hadn't been for her autoimmune problems. She became a shadow of her former self after a while. She was especially stunning during the 2000 and 2001 summer hardcourt seasons. But the fact that she's still around after all these years and is still playing relatively well is a testament to how great she is.

The beads were the last thing on their opponents minds 😂 Unless you mean a distraction for the sisters themselves. As they got older and more experience the beads would fall on the court and cause them to trip so they were hazardous for certain!

Just think if she wouldn't have been beat by venus in a few of the early grand slams she would already be the record holder for the most grand slams ever

I forgot just how different Venus and Serena were from the word go. Completely different attitudes on the court, but both so powerful and a shock to women’s tennis. Incredible players.

Serena, Venus and Novak became the GOATs against all odds coming from poverty! On the other hand, Nadal was born on a yacht and Federer comes from one of the richest countries in the world. These 3 managed to overcome them all!
