If they were singing in english, this band could have been as big as Floyd or the Beatles...they are soooo good, people dont even realize how good they were. I recomend 'A los Jovenes de ayer' by them too.

The album was recorded in Brazil and the song has a general tone of samba jazz fusion. In fact Pedro's bass playing in the beginning imitate a local percussion instrument named "cuica".

@@deanwolfechannel Probable given that Sting, like Peter Gabriel, always expressed an interest in world folk music. In one of his most touching songs from Nothinh like the sun, "They dance alone (Cueca solo)" refers to the "cueca", as a Chilean musical style. As quoted in Wikipedia: The song is a metaphor referring to mourning Chilean women who dance the Cueca (the national dance of Chile), alone with photographs of their disappeared loved ones in their hands in public as a protest demonstration. 👍

Good reaction! I recommend a song by Spinetta "Los Libros de la Buena Memoria" by the band Invisible, especially the studio version that sounds very good. And by Serú Girán I recommend "A los Jovenes De Ayer" from the album Bicicleta.

David Lebón (the guitarrist and vocalist of this song, who keeps making music btw) said he has never taken a single music lesson in his life, that it all comes from within, he said he feels like there's someone else playing inside of him. He's one of the greatest argentininan guitarists and he has always had a knack for blues, which you can clearly notice in all of serú girans records.
