The year is 2087. A lot has changed in the preceding hundred years (except the music apparently). Corruption is rife, prisons are crowded, overpopulation has forced humans to scour space for precious resources.

00:00 "RIDE ALL NIGHT"
Curfew has fallen on the megacity of San Kanen. A lone rider cuts a mean figure through the black night: our hero, Roy
05:56 "SURVEILLANCE #1"
Roy sits with his pal Dom looking out over the city and waxes existential.
08:18 "MEET ME AT THE DANCE"
Roy sneaks into the mansion gardens of the most powerful and corrupt politician in San Kanen. He is looking for someone. Specifically, a daughter of said politician. More specifically, the one named Stella.
13:20 "THREE TRIBES, TWO LAPS, ONE WINNER, NO RULES"
Three gangs battle for turf in a ride to the death. Roy is the fastest rider on the streets. He has to win. For the gang, for him, for her. But the fuzz have caught wind of what's afoot and have Roy in their sights.
18:17 "SENTENCED TO SPACE"
Roy lies amid the wreckage of his bike as a police droid closes in. He is sentenced without trial and found guilty of violating curfew, reckless endangerment, destruction of municipal property and high treason! Surely he's been set up. The punishment is 15 years hard labour on the Kepler mining colony, light years away. A death sentence. No one survives the hellish conditions of the off world mining colony. Roy is grievously injured, almost dead. He passes in and out of consciousness. A medic droid rebuilds him from the ground up to withstand the heightened gravity and hard labour of the mining colony...
22:02 "EXILE"
Unconscious, our hero is shipped off to the launch facility and shot into space with his fellow inmates.
Somewhere in the city thousands of miles below, Stella awaits Roy's arrival at the dance, unaware of his fate.

The year is 2021, I'm just now finding out about Roy and can only wonder how much longer will he be forced to serve out his sentence... We need Act 2!!!
everyone is talking about the song, but I just want to appreciate the cover, motor, handsome man wearing leather jacket, having a beautiful gf, synthwave in the background in 80th, is just a dream I want to live in

synthwave is ahead of its time, i mean it borrows from the past but certainly this is music of the future

Our future will be determined on what path we choose..... The Transcendiant human or the breakaway society that rebuilds the natural human culture.
This was the song that broke the dam to Sythwave for me....The best!
They really did put a lot of work in this.

Meet me at the Dance, Light Years, and Bad Dream Baby; top 3 songs of September 87. Although this whole song "movie" is a pretty cool idea. A part 2 would be sweet. Wish they put more music out there!

The dialogue lines were created just for the album to make it feel like a soundtrack to a real movie.

So this is billed as a soundtrack? Is there a movie short to watch that goes with it?

@Javier Gonzalez these are the kinds of movies I'd like to see at a theater, all with synthwave as the sound track. I would lose it if this happened but I don't see it happening for a long time sadly. It's one of the reasons I love the new Tron movie so much. Daft Punk and being in a futuristic society that sort of feels like the past is the closest movie at the moment.

Nah. The megacorp that fixes the races is holding the girl ransom. The only way he can get her back is if he undergoes a little modification to become the ultimate racing machine, and rides one last time.
So this was never a movie, despite the 'soundtrack' title?
