This song tears my eyes up every time. The video makes it that much stronger. My grandmother passed away in 2013 due to complications from dementia and Is Alzheimer's.

Yeah... this one and "Cross my heart and hope to die" alway bring tears to my eyes. Always.

This is one of Sentenced's best songs and music video. It is what happened to my grandparents. Grandma, always happy, always doing good deeds for everyone got dementia. She started to forget small things, then bigger things, medication didn't help. She forgot newest things first. Like her grandchildren. My grandpa did his best to take care of her. He had to put locks on doors inside, since she kept walking out and getting lost, two times a search helicopter was needed. It was a difficult decission for my grandfather to put her in a nursing home. Love of his life. Over 60 years together. And she couldn't remember him in the end. Yet he kept visiting her, hoping that maybe on a good day she remembers. On a way back home, he died at the front door of the home. He died alone. Few years later grandma died. Alone. And we, the relatives were relieved. Sad and angry, but relieved that her over a decade long suffering ended. Dementia and alzheimer are the worst. You lose the person you love first but the human is still here. My grandmother never get to know my girlfriend who became my wife nor she knew my children. Yet they knew her and were at her funeral. It was difficult to make a memorial speach, because all the good memories with her were so long ago. It was difficult to find words. Our family friend, their neighbour did it best. He had put together a photo album on power point from all the good times they had together. He was a photographer, so he also took photos of ordinary things. The last photo was both grandparents stanging in front of a flowery field, smiling, happy as ever. The way we all remembered them.

I worked at a retirement home a few years back. There was this adorable and friendly, yet badly demented old lady who kept asking after her recently deceased husband everyday. They had been together over 75 years. I listened this song a lot back then.

Not "knowing" might be a blessing, in a way. Mostly not, but living in hope is still good.

Sentenced wrote songs with so much meaning, and depth it touches deep into the human heart and soul. The music resonates with people on the deepest levels. I discovered them back in 2000 and immediately loved them. They have remained one of my favorite bands ever since and as the years have gone by I find the bands music somehow finds ways to connect with me more deeply than ever. They wrote absolutely timeless music that I hope more people continue to find and appreciate for decades to come. R.I.P Miika Tenkula R.I.P. Sentenced

Yeah! At that 3:26 part...I miss my mom...she passed away coz suffer cancer...I always take care of my ill mom...like in this video...until her last breath....😔😢😭

Recently I lost someone very important, I'm listening to this song now and crying... Why did it have to be so hard for us to live our lives... What a masterpiece it is.

I decided to leave this world somehow I survived but after months of therapy this song still break me and still it’s my only partner. Thank you sentenced all your albums describe my feelings and help me to live in this reality, your music makes me more confortable this path

I am truly glad that you're still around. I made it home from war 4 times, in my deepest state of depression I came to the conclusion that life was never about me. Life is about the interactions you have with people and how just something as simple as a hello or how is your day can change the path of an individual forever. Sentenced is beautiful, keep smiling and drive on.

Thanks for the lyrics, is the first time that i heard this song, and it's so beauty.

I remember I bought this album when it got out. What a band... I missed them so much, it's very hard to find music this good on these days. And what a touching song this is. Unbelievable. 2024 and it sounds as fresh and relevant as it did before. Thanks a lot, Sentenced. ♥️

this whole CD is...is...just something beyond special. and this video just fits insanely right with the music...broke my damn heart

I had a bad deppression ten years ago and I treated it by drinking beer and listening Sentenced while singing along. By the time it got to this song I was very drunk and "singing" from the top of my lungs so the neighbours complained few times. Well it didn't make me stop singing so the neighbours thought it would be better to move away. Sentenced helped me through some really rough times. Thanks for that and rest in peace.

For 15 years this has been destroying me, every single time.

I work with people like in the video. You either crumble or go numb, no really a middle ground there. The pay is also lousy, tells how much your work is appreciated.

I cried. Been a Sentenced fan for 15+ years. Alzheimer's is a horrific affliction. This really brought it home. Cheers, guys. I love you.

On her last night on earth, my severely Alzheimer -burdened grandmother danced. She was all bones, didn't know where she was. But still gathered some others from her nursing home to her room, and they danced, in their fashion. I wish my grandpa had made it to be there. Then she slept away. Death comes in all kinds of ways for every last one of us. I don't believe no one is there. And if so, we are here to remember.

Modern pop music shows "love stories" where the couple is young, they drink, dance and make you think their lives are a real-life fairytale where they never grow old. Life is not like that at all. This music, this video, show a more realistic perspective of love. This is good music. This, dear friends, this... is true love.

I rarely cry and I shed a few tears when I first saw this video. This melody is so melancholic and also clip. This is not a song for a pessimist person.

I think this and Steven Wilson's "Routine" are the only two tracks that have ever made me cry in my life. They hit really close to home when you're a spouse/parent.

I keep coming back to this song every few years and it still rings true in 2017. Absolute masterpiece. Tells it like it is, the true end, no glamour, no pomp, just true love and care.

I think this song is prime example of Unconditional love.

This video demonstrates perfectly, that you don't need a multimillion dollar budget to do an epic music video. Always manages to touch me, no matter how many time i've seen it.

I know how it feels to loose someone that you love.. I lost the best person in the whole world.. My grandmother.. I was beside her all the time.. And the last thing she heard before she died was how much I loved her.. So thats why I love this song so dearly...
