    Can you help me figure out how to increase the volume? I'm not sure if gain needs to change on the transmitter or receiver. Right now I'm at -24 out for receiver (hooked up to DSLR camera) and the transmitter bodypack I wear is on -18. I'm trying to get clear crisp voice and used to have better volume...and am not sure what I changed to get back to that good volume.

    Your settings should be: transmitter sensitivity -24db to -27db and receiver AF Out -18db. It looks like you have these reversed. Also you may have altered your mic placement or you have changed mics. Plus, make sure to that your batteries are fresh.

    Yes, the red light should be solid red. This indicates that the power is ON. When the red light flashes, that the LOW BATTERY warning signal. Sorry for the delay in replying. I have been ill with the flu for about 5 weeks.

    I had an interview with two receivers, two mics and two camera. They were on different channels but there were extreme interference and static.

  • @UFOBobTV

    @UFOBobTV

    2 жыл бұрын

    Did you record both mics on both camera or one mic per camera? If you recorded one mic one camera and the other mic on another camera, that will minimize part of your problem. Is the static / interference in between the speaking or is during the speaking? If it is only in between, you can manually edit out the static. It is time consuming and you will need to lock the audio to the picture, but it is doable. If the static is over the dialogue, there is little you can do to correct it, that I know of. Depending on the audio software you use in post-production, there may be tools (filters) that you can use to minimize the static. Sorry I can be of more help to you.

    I'm surprised that they use even frequencies. Even frequencies are more susceptible to harmonic interference. That's why most commercial and amateur radio systems use odd frequencies. Just take a look at your FM radio. All channels are odd frequencies. 98.5, 101.3, etc.
