    This is such outstanding advice. My 89 year old husband fell many times and we had to rely on these techniques. YES! Absolutely call the paramedics with a bad fall if unable to get up. Having helped him so many times, it is important to practice these techniques BEFORE you need them. Thank you for all of your very helpful advice. All of it should be practiced in preparation for the inevitable fall that most people will experience.

    I have bad knees, getting one replaced in Sept., and can’t get on my hands and knees. I go for the stairs and that works for me.

    Wth IBM, my leg muscles don't work and can't lift up. They can collapse unexpectedly. I use the scoot backwards to the stairs, scoot up one at a time until i can push myself up and lock my knees. And never go one step without my phone

    Over a week ago, I started up stairs, felt dizzy and fell. There were people there who helped up and up the stairs. The next day I was very sore, went to a hospital, and found I had a cracked rib. As I feel tired and can't walk long now, are there exercises I can do?

    Back up to Stairs and push up 1 stair at a time. Then stand up Saved Me..
