Hey Sachin! That was a really good video, I will be applying for Fall'22 PhD Admissions and this will surely help me a lot. I just had one thing to ask. Normally the professors provide their Institute email address, but almost 70-80% of the time, the emails that we send end up in their Spam Folder. How to avoid this type of situation?

Hi Amlan, it's unlikely that your email will end up in the spam folder unless you mass email. What usually happens is that profs get a TON of emails and they quickly scan each one and don't respond, or sometimes forget to respond. Hence, having the name of a student they know in the email, or even asking that student to convince the prof to consider you, is a good idea.

Sure, but profs don't really bother checking emails from MS students because they don't get a lot of say in the admissions process for master's.

Just use your passport name everywhere across your applications. That's the most important.

Essentially all the profs you're considering working with. Expect a 10-30% reply rate.
