Socialism in the US is alive, has long tradition and is very well looked after. Example the present budget proposal. $750 billion for military and $1 trillion budget deficit. What it is if not a mechanism of socialist style public funds distribution to military industries. It is even worse,.. because this is distribution of public money that the government does not even have. New additional debt will be created for the children of today and generations not even born to service. They, the kids and those not even born yet,.. have no vote, no rights and no understanding. They are easy targets, they can be screwed up and the government does just that. Is it really about security ??? Of course to justify such socialist distribution existing wars will be maintained, new wars in third world countries will be created. New enemies will emerge as Al-Qaida and Islamic State have already expired. But again, is it about security ??? Is it about keeping America safe ??? It does not look like that. At first, todays’ children and generations not even born yet will have to take care of already existing debt and any new debt created. This alone will ruin their lives. And this the government that does it to its own people. Ruining the lives by excess unnecessary spending. It is even worse,.. the accumulated debt already and any new debt leads to total collapse of the currency. The duty of the government is to protect the currency. And here the government endangers the currency. If any major trading partner like China or the European Union declare non acceptance of the dollar, the dollar will collapse and the whole US economy. We are already at point that such scenario is more than highly possible. US has budget deficits for 45 years in a row. This is more than a proof that the socialist system in the US cannot support itself. Think about that, Russia spends on military 10 times less and have upper hand. Other socialist distribution examples. Farmers subsidy, uninterrupted since 1923. That translated to food subsidy for the whole population of the US. No country ever had such welfare. Not even Venezuela, North Korea, China and the USRR. This is not free market neither so called nor beloved “capitalism”. Frequent corporations buy-outs,.. automotive, airlines, banks,.. scholarships, subsidies for oil and gas corporations,…. So what is the issue here,…. Sunders does not bring anything new,.. he wants more recipients, of socialist welfare.

I'm here working at a job that is driving me crazy (healthcare) where I'm seeing the first-hand results of being poor, having a lack of healthcare, lack of knowledge, lack of adequate outlets to healthy eating. I am seeing diabetic kids, kids with dyslexia slip through the cracks because parents are overworked and undereducated. I am seeing children suffer first hand because of our adult mistakes. I can't emphasize enough we need to reform! I normally am so "meh" on things. I don't know what it is about Bernie but its just music to my ears. I really really wish mainstream media would show this man talk. Really talk. i worry what's getting lost in this analysis is why we are such an unhealthy population to start with. Healthcare wouldn't be such an absurd expenditure if people spent the same energy demanding quality food that they do demanding universal healthcare. Yes, the insurance companies are vultures and should be thrown out. Same with the pharmaceutical companies. But we have to dig a little deeper and start asking fundamental questions about the *efficacy* of allopathic medicine in general. That idiom "cut off your nose to spite your face" is basically allopathy in a nutshell. We need to return to regenerative, biodynamic farming and so many of our problems will subside. We have to fight agribusiness at the same time we work to socialize healthcare or else it will bankrupt us.

Your words describe my life & my feelings exactly! (I am in tears to know that there is another female doctor out there who truly feels as I do...all you wrote of are issues we really cannot communicate with overt passion. (We must be the source of calm reassurance, most important for the sake of our patients and their stressed parents) So, my dear husband hears me cry as I tell him of my sadness. I deeply love my young patients, it tears my heart whenever I see a child who my colleagues & I could have treated with far greater success, if only they were brought to us at a younger age. It is torture to see a child or a teen suffer needlessly. To make it worse, as you well know,i children who are not brought to see us (until they are extremely ill) are disproportionately from families who are oppressed by terrible poverty. How this can still be a fact here in the United States of America in 2020 is impossible to accept. We should not accept it as a nation, electing Senator Sanders and members of both Houses of Congress who will work with him is an essential step in correcting this injustice among so many others.

I'm not a young person. Business professional, college educated, burned through 401k due to 2 layoffs, salary has barely increased 12k in 16 years, even though job responsibility has increased. And, of course, have student debt. I feel heartbroken about Biden's "comeback", a man who says he has zero empathy for young people - people who will be his constituents if he wins. I do not understand what is wrong with my fellow voters and their inability to vote for good things for themselves. I am hoping with all my heart that Bernie wins.

Socialism in the US is alive, has long tradition and is very well looked after. Example the present budget proposal. $750 billion for military and $1 trillion budget deficit. What it is if not a mechanism of socialist style public funds distribution to military industries. It is even worse,.. because this is distribution of public money that the government does not even have. New additional debt will be created for the children of today and generations not even born to service. They, the kids and those not even born yet,.. have no vote, no rights and no understanding. They are easy targets, they can be screwed up and the government does just that. Is it really about security ??? Of course to justify such socialist distribution existing wars will be maintained, new wars in third world countries will be created. New enemies will emerge as Al-Qaida and Islamic State have already expired. But again, is it about security ??? Is it about keeping America safe ??? It does not look like that. At first, todays’ children and generations not even born yet will have to take care of already existing debt and any new debt created. This alone will ruin their lives. And this the government that does it to its own people. Ruining the lives by excess unnecessary spending. It is even worse,.. the accumulated debt already and any new debt leads to total collapse of the currency. The duty of the government is to protect the currency. And here the government endangers the currency. If any major trading partner like China or the European Union declare non acceptance of the dollar, the dollar will collapse and the whole US economy. We are already at point that such scenario is more than highly possible. US has budget deficits for 45 years in a row. This is more than a proof that the socialist system in the US cannot support itself. Think about that, Russia spends on military 10 times less and have upper hand. Other socialist distribution examples. Farmers subsidy, uninterrupted since 1923. That translated to food subsidy for the whole population of the US. No country ever had such welfare. Not even Venezuela, North Korea, China and the USRR. This is not free market neither so called nor beloved “capitalism”. Frequent corporations buy-outs,.. automotive, airlines, banks,.. scholarships, subsidies for oil and gas corporations,…. So what is the issue here,…. Sunders does not bring anything new,.. he wants more recipients, of socialist welfare.

it would be interesting; but Sanders sees the responsibility in the billionaire class, Trump (as a billionaire) sees the problem in foreigners; I think the economic and historial evidence is clearly on Sanders' side; but people do not vote on the basis of facts, but on the basis of propaganda
