Doug was pretty much the reason hoodies garage exists, as he told on VINwiki , after a small taste of car journalism he emailed Doug on a whim and basically badgered him into letting him write for him and Doug gave him the opportunity and the rest is history, i think they mention this in this video too

Hoovie I broke my back in a car crash 21 years ago. 10 years I was in a bad place. I was in a wheelchair I still am. All but a few of my friends deserted me. But things changed slowly at first. Lots of little moments in life then probably back to the person I was. I'm in no way saying that you saved me. But you are one of those things that helped me you reignited my passion for cars in a fun goofy way. And you introduced me to different people Freddie and at the urination Bob and wizard many more. And you are a part of those little things that reignited my spot for life. And I thank you,, and I hope you like me come through the bad crappy times don't give up. Just some peace of mind to those who read the title and thought Hoovies Garage is coming to an end; its not, he's just going to have to move and downsize his fleet unfortunately. I don't know why Hoovie has to suddenly sell so many cars, I've seen people speculate divorce or some other financial factors, but regardless we will always be here for you Hoovie.

I met Tyler around five years ago when his channel was just starting to grow. Such an incredibly nice guy; funny, charismatic, just everything that makes a good person. Whatever the reason, you have a strong and loyal fanbase and have created SO MUCH watchable content over the past few years, I cannot personally thank you enough! Sometimes, our hobbies can be all-consuming and I'm glad I stopped at one car - a well-preserved '94 Miata that - if push came to shove - is reliable enough to be put into daily driver service. I did once aspire to purchase a German luxury vehicle, and you've succeeded in squashing that dream forever, and I thank you for saving me all the frustration! Sending happy thoughts your way!

Thank you for giving us an escape all of these years. You hooked me with the AWD Caravan in 2017, and proved what a good guy you were with the Christmas video where you found people who were selling their cars because they needed money, and you paid them what they wanted for the cars, and told them to keep the cars. I wish you nothing but the best.

Big fan of The CarTrek guys and all their affiliates. I pray that all of them and their families, no matter their reasons, will sort out everything, find balance, align their futures and move forward like a well oiled machine. ❤🙏🏿Thank you all for the years of entertainment.

She’s probably getting half ownership of Hoovie’s Garage KZread channel and everything and anything that Tyler created. All that hard work and all those years while she was filing her nails and enjoying his wealth. Now she gets it all, after putting little or no effort. I advised Tyler when he was taking off to get a prenup, or a postnup. But some of us learn the hard way. He will make it out of all this and he will rebuild but you are looking at years. On top of the distribution of assets, he will need to support her in the manner she was accustomed to through alimony (probably give her the house too) and pay child support for their child. She gets a lifetime of riches, KZread income for life. Not bad for a few years of “work”. She’s probably 30 years old. That’s what you call winning the lottery. This is the mechanism in this country, tilted one way. Stay strong Tyler! After the divorce, we should all migrate to his new channel and let the old channel die out.

This is why marriage is a dated formality that one can avoid today. I've been with my GF for just over 10 years, how will marriage change our lives? Oh, it'll make things more complicated if we ever split up, and since we both work, won't help us with taxes. There's really no benefit (besides the title "married", if that's a benefit), and lot's of risk and complication. It's easier to keep things separated. I used to want it but I don't really see the appeal. We're already more committed than most of our married friends that have been together for only a few years. Marriage is overrated.
