Hi and welcome to the channel
In this Video I will show you the process I used to insulate my van floor a very simple but effective way I explain why I positioned the floor battens where I have and their benefit's I think they offer,
I also manage to reuse the original floor something I had wanted to do to save on waste I produced up to not I have recycled everything that's been removed from the van , I also manage to get trapped under the floor as we work it into its final position

Loving your vids Sam. I'm in the process of selling my flat and hoping to sort myself a van to convert after that. Your van build series is building my confidence in believing that I can attempt to do my own self build. Keep up the content, I'll shall continue to watch your content. All the best, cheers👍🏼

Hey Sam, I been binging you vids again and I cant for the life of me figure where you ran the John Guest pipes under the floor to the sink from one side to the other as I noticed you ran your battens full length from back to front. I am watching your pump plumbing vid Part 30 and thinking did they go under the van itself. I am myself at this stage so wondering best way forward, under floor or under van. Thanks for what you do, real helpful.

They run under the floor in the insulation from the back of the shower wall to the opposite side and pop up in front of the wheel arch the run behind the kitchen units I believe that this is covered in the water pipework and pump installation video 😁👍

Did you put any of the sound proof matting on the floor?

No additional sound deadening to what is already installed as the insulation and timber will reduce significantly any vibration or noise created from the floor area, our van is really quite when driving

Hi. I'll be using the original resin covered ply floor in my 2017 Crafter. I hope to to it one half at a time. Can that join in the middle be taken apart cleanly or does it have to come out as one whole piece? Cheers

@@TheCraftyBlindersvanlife Got lucky! The back half came out no problem - not glued at all on this one. Just a small line of sticky black adhesive down the middle. This is useful for me because I had a huge chest of tools on the van I did not want to take off the van. It's a good deck to reuse. It has a resin coated top and bottom 12mm thick.
