Good day sir. My project at home is partly open basketball halfcourt and part covered garage. The flooring is unfinished, semi rough with areas of uneven. What can you suggest to prepare the floor prior to rubberized paint for the halfcourt and garage top coat? Can we use the level up and bonding agent directly? Or still need to apply hardcrete? Our existing floor is painted. However, we wanted to install laminate but it’s not levelled. But instead of stripping the paint, our mason chipped it off. How can we rectify it to accommodate self levelling compound?

Situation: a 1 year old installed tiles loosen from its adhesive. Now decided to replace the tile to laminated or vinyl flooring. Now removing the tiles, found the adhesive still intact but has a grooves from the tiles causing uneven adhesive flooring. Question: can i apply the self leveling directly on top of the old adhesive to have a smooth surface? Will it not crack on the long run?

For existing damaged floor tiles we suggest to remove it because it has been damaged and affected its adhesion on the surface that may affect the adhesion of your new tiles.

For Skimcoat for floor, we recommend epocoat mb before application of any coating. For skimcoat for walls, we recommend tofil 803 wall primer and sealer, this is already efflorescence resistant.

However, there’s actually a right way of correcting an uneven substrate and install tiles using the thin-bed method. For topping on roof deck you can use Buildrite Elastocrete. Elastocrete is a flexible, cement-based, fiber-reinforced, self-leveling mortar that can achieve 3500psi after 28 days. Sir mga ilang araw bago mag-appy ng clever sil, after mag apply ng self-levelling compound?

Hi po, may question lang po. Yung floor po namin na finish na kaso po uneven and makinis na sana kaso natalsikan po ng mga cement nung nung nag palitada ng wall, medyo mahirap lang po tangalin. Pwede po ba gamitin yung Level up! then after, applyan po ng Floortek S? Or kung may ma advice pa po kayo na mas ok. Gusto ko po kasi sa ngayon concrete finish lang, and in the future baka lagyan namin ng wood planks flooring or vinyl. Thanks po! 🙏

It depends if you want a smooth and leveled finish prior to application of floor paint, vinyl or wood planks to repair the waviness of your concrete you need to apply Buildrite Level Up and if you want to make your semi rough concrete and repair the pin holes you can use Hardcrete 303. Both has a compressive strength of 3000psi which is good for foot traffic.

For indoor garage we recommend to use Epocoat FC or Epocoat FCH. Epocoat FC/FCH is an epoxy based floor coating. It is oil, acid and impact resistance. Sir gumawa kami nang roof deck na dapat sana may slope for water to flow. May slope naman end to end but in the middle may imperfections that could cause ponding. My question is, can i use the "Level Up!" to fix the imperfections that cause ponding?

Hi, thank you for your inquiry. Hindi po advisable. Hindi kasi nagpapantay pantay ang kulay ng finish ng self leveling screed kaya baka hindi maging okay sa inyo ang kalalabasan.

Hi. Thank you for your inquiry. Ordinary Sand and cement mix has weak compressive strength that can cause cracks and scaling, unlike Level Up and Hardcrete 303. Level Up has 1,400psi for 1 day up to 3,600psi for 28 days while Hardcrete 303 has 3,200psi for 28days.

You can only apply skim coat on unpainted wall. You need to remove the existing paint to fix the uneven part of your wall for better adhesion of skim coat.

Hardcrete 303 is for flooring use only. After removing the existing paint, you can use Buildrite's Putty Master to fill and repair surface imperfections and voids with a depth more than 4mm. No sir. You will need a different epoxy for this, you need epocoat tw as primer to ensure bonding with tiles. Then coat over epocoat tw with epocoat fc if indoor, polycoat flex for outdoor.
