That mdf will it not swell then if you chip the paint and get it wet ? Are your cabinets those wall cabinets from wickes or b&q ? On the side ?

Hi yes there standard cabinets from B&Q. The bead board that’s I’ve painted is MR mdf, obviously if continually getting soaked in water it would swell but I’ve put the same stuff in my bathroom right next to the bath and that’s been fine for over 12 months so far.

What size wood did you use

Hi thanks got the question. Are you asking regarding the bed/seating area. The frame work was 2x1 planed timber. Sides glass in 9mm mdf and the seat bases were 18mm plywood.

Great job ! Would be great if you could give estimates costs.

Hi Retro material costings we’re roughly £2500 depending on finish. X blinds were £900 and upholsterer was £800

What units did you use under the window?

Hi Ryan I used a 500 mm kitchen base unit and a 500mm kitchen wall unit. Hope that helps

Hi Andy the drawer runner was 350mm full extension. The unit was 400mm wide. I built the drawer box from 12mm ply added the false front.

Hi Malcom yes 2 people can sleep very comfortably when in bed mode. No sleeping at an angle. Both lay out straight if they wanted with space around.
