Have a look at ticking sticks. Far more accurate.
Will do. Thank you.
nice work on your vans mate i have a 2012 renault trafic and beed wanting solar panel on her and thought of single seats in front but started having issues with injector faults .. code reader was coming up with wrong faults from air flow mass censor then dpf censor but fault lights on dash kept coming on this time told the dpf was chocked up so needed deap clean so far no warning lights ,,if goes well might still do solar panel just wondered if i did would you beable to help...steve in llandudno.
Hi Steve yes of course, I’m in Rhyl. I ended replacing 2 of my injectors during my ownership. And the air flow mass sensor, go genuine only. Cheap ones will throw up a fault. (Mass sensor)
@@NorthWalesCampers we go to rhyl a lot you might have seen my van if we have passed each other white with red wrap long botton black bonnet and black strip on windscreen welsh dragon on back doors side windows same as yours side bars and 17" bmw alloys ....does stand out a bitjust never got up to doing inside.........thank you will let tou know if i am going to put solar panel on her .. take care for now...steve.
Hi. Is this possible in a Skoda yeti?
I’m not sure. Probably be able to do it but would need measurements and a donor vehicle.
@@NorthWalesCampers Would love for you to have a go on mine!
C19 in the summer? 🙃
Do you have one. That would be fun.
Love it fine craftsmanship
Superb job you've done, thanks for sharing, I'm looking for a half decent Vivaro and was wondering how to lay out the bed and everything, so thanks
Yes please
Please help,I have coolant flooding on top of the injectors,I have removed the injectors and the look wet?
You need to check the engine block over. Remove the injectors and clean out the hole. Anything obvious in there. How did you remove the injectors.
Great explanatory video - I’ve just acquired a 2005 Fiat Doblo Microcamper and need to fit this passenger seat turntable. Can you supply this or can you please give me the supplier and part No. Did you mention someone down South who you knew who did the fitting? Many thank, Mike
Hi Mike. Apologies for the delay. I can supply the plate to You. If you’d Like to email me we can sort something out. Thanks.
Great vid - thinking to do the same - BUT have you found that the lowered floor affects where you can go because of less ground clearance? I'm a bit worried about that
Hiya, the lower floor causes no issues at all. Designed for wheel chair users originally. They make great micro campers and the space feels bigger. There are few options you can go with the lower floor. Please check out one of my other videos.
Awesome idea will be trying this .
Thank you.
Hi, helpful video, thanks. Do you know of a swivel base that would fit the later models? Im after one for a 16 plate. Ta
At the minute unfortunately not. I’ll be testing and producing some later this year all being well.
hello butty just started my first camper to enjoy living the dream LOL. how many sheets of ply did it take to complete the u bed Thanks.
Top of my head it was 2 sheets maybe just over.
i can see your a really hard working and all round top bloke , 300 things to do with not enough time , p.s I think ive just emailed you. hopefully its the correct email lol
Good morning Rob how do i get in contact with you ? via fb ? im in the Rhyl area i have a doblo 2008 with the lowered floor , are you any good with wiring a tow bar ? is the spare wheel on the roof rack ?
Rob, could you give me the brand and type of swivel plate? Iam from the Netherlands and would like to do the same.
Hiya unfortunately I can’t, as I’m selling this as a product.
Mais um excelente trabalho realizado. Parabéns pelo empenho e dedicação. Sucesso no canal...
Thank you so much. Means a lot. This is probably my favourite build so far.
Modelo Camper en Fiat Doblo...
does it work with doors closed?
Hiya. Thanks for your comment. Yes it does.
but how long and high, depth can actually be this kitchen-sink-shelfs module if its about fiat doblo? 8:10 I meant.
Hiya thanks for your comment. It’s a 2012 Fiat doblo. The unit was around 1550mm long, around 450mm in depth and height to the worktop was 650-700mm a I remember. It was a while ago when I built this. It also had a roof tent mounted which had solar installed too. I think primarily he was going to sleep in the roof tent but on the colder nights he would sleep inside the vehicle. Hope this helps. I squeezed quite a lot in it as it was my customers request. He wanted more in. I had to reduce it down quite a bit.
Great video, easy to follow, would this work on a 2012 Doblo Eleganza?
Hi , I’ve replied back to your email.
Great job and nice car! Thanks! Would you say it is possible to install swivel mechanism on the driver's seat too? I know you don't need it but I plan to get newer version and do both seats.
Hi. Thanks for the comment. Possibly. It’s all down to space on the drivers side because of the handbrake.
I want to do this with both seats to, did you made it work for both seats?
Love it 😃
Thank you. Unfortunately I no longer own the camper. Wasn’t using it. I’ll build another one slightly bigger in a couple of years.
Looks really good mate, I've just bought a high top vivaro with plans to convert it. I found you easy to watch and listen to, most KZreadrs are boring as hell. Curious to know what solar panels and controller, battery, lights, tap and plumbing and other such gumpf you went for, where you sourced them, etc etc. Especially interested in the swivel seat. Can you do it yourself or does it need to be to a certain safety code. What about the drivers seat? But, well done, looks good and is functional. Shows what can be done on a smaller budget from a home garage.
Hi pal, leave it with me and I’ll did the info out for you. The seats were from a ford galaxy. Minor adjustment to original base and you’ll need a drivers side base for the passenger side if you go single seat there. Solar I used renogy175watt kit, taps cheap household mixer tap£15. Lights pack of 6 for £20. Agm 110amp battery. Submersible pump.
Wow, thanks for your speedy reply. I appreciate any help you can give. Both my seats are already singles. So no drama there. Already gave diesel heater and leisure battery fitted as its an ex- gas board van. Thanks, Mark.
Great video
Thank you so much. Means a lot.
That's brilliant. How much do you charge to make them please? 🌞
Apologies just seen. I advertise them on Facebook market place for £450 without cushions. I’ve redesigned it a little to make it lighter to enable removal easier whilst maintaining its structural strength.
How do you take off the black cover on top of the injectors , I have taken off all the 9mm bolts but it's still struggling to come off as though its being held by another bolt, but I can't see anything , I have a mr9 traffic 2007
How did you take off the plastic bits on the doors attached to the handles to insulate behind?
They just pop of if I remember. Maybe one screw max holding on place.
Why o why ....the distracting "background" music .. Bailing out 2 mins in
Your choice buddy, it’s either that or my horrible voice which I’m not a fan of. I’m trying and new to this.
I’m going to try this, what a great tip
I seen different floor plans in those cars and I love to own one I think they're awesome little campervan
They do make great little campers. This one’s probably a touch over crowded but the owner wanted loads of storage.
Why didn't you put a vapor barrier on?
I’m a caravan and Motorhome service engineer, manufacturers who build Motorhomes whether that be coach built or a van conversion there’s never a vapour barrier, plus other professional builders I speak to never install them and for me I just think they cause bigger issues down the line. Just make sure you add ventilation both high level and low level. You’ll never have issues then unless water gets in from outside. Hope this helps.
@@NorthWalesCampers that's interesting to know. I'm looking for a van to build. Thanks for your video and time answering my question
How do get into living space and shut yourself safely in at night without access to sliding doors?
Hi Rachel the tail gate has extended handles to enable to close it and I altered the locking mechanism to be able to unlock/ lock from inside.
Hey, thank you for sharing your doblo conversion. I just bought one on eBay and was hoping to start the conversion in a few months but spirit has got other plans 😂 the roof is leaking so will need to take off the headlining to suss it out. I’m a total newbie to this stuff and wondered if you might be able to give me a bit of guidance?
Gostei muito, mais eu tiraria este armário alto,e deixaria a bancada toda livre.
Hi thank you so much for your lovely comment. I would have personally done the exact same as you suggested but the customer wanted more storage and as he was paying it was up to him. 👍🏻👍🏻
That is a work of art! That's one of, if not, the best Def 130 conversions I've seen. Really good.
Thank you so much. Means a lot. I really enjoyed this build. This is just a hobby of mine around my main job as a caravan and Motorhome service engineer.
I like this type of set up, I'm thinking of this simple set up for my doblo. I'm working through some idea s, will probably contact you in new year 2024 for some quotes of my ideas
Hi @Romany thanks for your comment. Yes please don’t hesitate to get in touch in the new year. More than happy to give you a quote. Ask the best for 2024 and hour you had a great Xmas.
I love it.
What a beautiful job. This was done by a skilled craftsman to a very high standard. He certainly knew what he was doing. This is 5* stuff. Well done and Thankyou for posting this video.
Wow. Thank you so much for your lovely comment.
Beautiful build. Love it!
Thank you so much. Very proud of this one. This is something I do as a hobby around my main job.
It’s epic mate. I would love to do this in an Australian ex army perentie. I love the Isuzu engine to lug it around with. Currently pulling a series 3 with original 6cyl back to its bones but it’s a lot of work. Really respect your craftsman ship and style. Well done again.
@adamiam7556 thank you so much. Good luck with your project. I resprayed a series 3 in my home garage years ago. Had to let the tyres down to get it inside.
Hi! I'm searching for a D+ signal for connect renogy dc/dc in my ford tourneo custom 2016. Have you done the video complete or only this short? Thank you
Just this short sorry.
Check out Alex on mispronounced adventures. He has a great video on it.
At least you can kind of repair it. The garbage RVs made here in the United States is just criminal. Once they start failing, just throw it away...its a shame because the RV industry here in the States used to make quality but no longer.
I’m with you on that one. There not built like they used to be. Quality is shocking. Caravans become damp within a couple of years compared to older vans that survived 20 plus years.
@@NorthWalesCampers Yes we owned a old travel trailer and never had an issue. We decided "upgrade" and what a mistake that was. Just pure junk is what they are producing now...very disappointing.
Did you build the pop top? I have been looking at a flat topped camper body on a defender and would be interested to know if fitting something similar would be possible.
Unfortunately I didn’t. The owner purchased it with the roof, I just stripped the old conversion out and complete re built it, new wiring, plumbing, gas, cabinets etc.
Harika 😊
Thank you.
Excellent video and great build. Converting my renault Trafic and sharing progress on my channel.. thank you for the inspiration 😊 Take care JP
Hi, new subscriber here.. just to say I’m loving your work and channel 👍🏻 I’m currently converting my own Renault Trafic over on my channel, picking up lots of tips from your videos.. great stuff 😊 Cheers JP
Did you use Silkaflex to reseal it or other?
Hi, yes on this occasion sikaflex but normally I use the mastic tape first and then once the rail is secured in place I run a neat bead of sikaflex either side of the rail as an added measure. The tape is the better option but didn’t have any on me at the time, sika did the job fine but I prefer the mastic tape option.
Sorry to be a pain, but id need to see a video of you drilling it before id try it myself haha. Great idea that though 👏
I’ll see if I have some video footage and I’ll do another video
I like!
Thank you.
Great job pal
Thank you
