I must say young lady, you have done an incredible job! I have done carpentry, plumbing and electrical and every aspect of building in my lifetime. It's amazing to watch you do the work you have done, and no doubt an amazing task. I applaud you for the way you did this build, the jigs, etc, that you used was enjoyable to watch! I pray you have a blessed and long life and enjoy your partner there. Many happy trails to you! Stay safe and may God bless you! Thank you, and for the enjoyable music you did with the video! Awesome job!

I always told my parents growing up that I want to travel the country in a home on wheels. They always looked at me like I was crazy. And I told my Dad that when the day comes he will be helping me with my build. He passed away this year and this dream has been drifting away. I still want to do it but I’m scared to do it alone. But this gives me hope. I hope I can do it as great as yours one day. Your video brought happiness to me.

Very nicely done! I'm currently converting my own van (A 1997 Ford E350), and I have very little experience with anything, been having to learn along the way, and I agree that it's a very transformative experience for sure! There have been some mistakes along the way for sure, a few things I had to re-do because of my own bad, but I love this big boy now, so I'm sure he'll turn out at least decent. :3 Good enough to comfortably live in already.

Amazing job! Question: Everytime i see one of these van builds, I wonder how much weight you can add to these vans before it becomes an issue. All that wood has to weigh a ton! Is that a factor? Do you have to do anything to the vans suspension to accommodate all the added weight? Or are these vans made to carry a lot of weight?

@@Chris-iz2zh Actually the amount of wood used is a huge factor, especially on the fuel efficiency of the van. The difference can be 1 tank vs 2 tanks for a trip, which at this current time is hundreds of pounds. I loaded a much lighter load into our ford transit and felt a difference. Yes, they can haul tons, but do you want to do that ALL the time as a camper?

Cool timelapse! Fyi, interesting fact for those fans who can't support her through Patreon, I just ran across an article that outlined how youtubers monetize ads. In order for her to get credit, a viewer has to watch at least 30secs of the ad (if the ad is longer than 30 secs) before hitting the Skip Ad button. So the next time an ad pops up, spare at least 30 secs to support her.

When I saw your face after getting the phone call about the van, and then saying you decided to do it YOURSELF, which is what I plan to do, I'm subscribing. SO MANY of these say "solo female van build" then they say oh man dad is a carpenter or an electrician or has a body shop and he helped me. It's just disheartening. And I just wanted to hug you when I saw you crying. Good for you for doing this!

The love and respect with which you show Akela is a heartwarming thing to watch. Best wishes in your travels. It is a truly beautiful area.

Linnea you are amazing. I have watched all of the van build from the easy parts and the hard one. Just your last remodel not shown here but the way you can just come up with a idea and go for it. I love how you have made friends along your journey. Great job girl!!! 👏

I am obsessed with van and RV Reno’s and this one has to be the most unique one I’ve ever seen! I love the white aesthetic, but seeing someone’s personality come out in a van build us so fun and entertaining! This is amazing!!!

My name is John...I live 60 miles north of Green Bay, WI, and I recognize that you also have attachments to the northern areas of the Badger State. My heart is warmed by your close family involvement...something I have never known. You are a spitting image of your mother, and based on your personality, I am sure your father (RIP) had a strong influence on you as well. I am also touched to my core regarding the relationship between you and Akela...she is absolutely beautiful in her mind, body and soul, I would love to kiss her on her forehead. I've always had a way with canines...I've had dogs, cats, tropical fish, budgies, and a female guinea pig named 'Lloyd'. I rescued two neglected cats from the wild...both of then lived with me and my wife GAIL(rip) and a rescued female Standard Poodle named Mindy until their time on earth was done. I am also a US Army veteran My wife passed away from acute myeloid lukemia on April 17, 2022 at 6:40 pm, Easter Sunday . She was the 'wind beneath my wings' for 33 years. I miss her terribly. I also lost my mother in August 2021 and my beloved standard poodle Piper one month later to tongue cancer. I gazed into her eyes and I held her paw as she took her last breath at the vet's office in Crivitz. My heart is broken. I wish you the best, Linnea. I pray Akela has a long life. I think you (and Akela) are amazing. God speed...my animal loving friend. PS, I eat meat too and feel absolutely zero guilt about it, For crying out loud, human beings (hunter/gatherers) have been eating meat since the dawn of time. Things only got fucked up when people switched from being Hunter & Gatherers to Agricultural & Industrial Societies...introducing the world to fatness and other grain (and corn!) induced malady's. After all, the Lord fed the 5000 with fish, did he not? If it's good enough for the Lord, it's good enough for me.

This construct is Akela approved and that was definitely important! I needed to see your GIRL POWER! Thankyou! KZread knows me and your video was the first suggestion! I am on the first stage of off grid happiness. I have a way too expensive month payment on my 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan, but I love her. My Carinha will be my home until I need and can afford an upgrade. Off grid and retirement...the money will build and then shall I. Much hearts your way!
