So sad...

One of Selena’s dreamers was to crossover and sing in English. She wished to become globally known. Sadly she wasn’t able to live long to do that. However her legacy has crossed over and she is a legend.

To think this song was supposed to inspire love and romance, but instead it reminds us about how we lost an incredible person who never wronged anyone in her life and met a tragic fate. Rest in Heaven Selena 😢

I think that girl represents Selena and her love story with her husband Chris

That's what I thought too. The guy really looked like Chris and also it showed them running away together like they did in real life.

This was the only song Selena personally chose for the crossover album, and in early March 1995 she recorded it in one take despite having bronchitis at the time- and if you listen closely you can hear here breathing between lyrics- she had an amazing voice!

She was in the middle of recording her crossover English album when it all happened. She was ready to conquer the world in a major way. She still did (not at the same level she was about to) but she left a legacy. This song and "I Could Fall in Love" are the songs people in the English market mostly recognize her from. She will be always loved.

A lil backdrop to this song: When SELENA was recording 'Dreaming of you' she had her husband Chris in mind and wanted him to come to the studio to hear her sing it but he couldn't bc he was busy doing some work for her Dad. After SELENA passed away it was a long time before Chris could listen to this song. Did you guys watch the Selena movie with JLO? If not you should. This music vid reminds me of Chris and SELENA'S elopement. Thanks guys. Great Reaction. 😍🎈

Selena passed before she could make a music video for any of her English songs, she was in the studio going to make a full English album but only got to record 4 English tracks 💔 “Dreaming Of You” was the last song she ever recorded

After watching a couple of reaction videos to this song , I have to say you guys reaction is the most genuine

Selena died while only half way through recording this album, which was to be her big english, pop crossover album. None of the videos form this album actually feature her since she was already gone. She was set to film the video for I Could Fall in Love the week after she died. The last song she actually recorded was for a compilation album of songs from the musical Westside Story that featured many big names in music at the time from Salt & Pepa to Aretha Franklin and more. She recorded "A Boy Like That". I really liked her vocals on that. You should check it out.

Its definitely her! You really want to get a mind blo, check who she was onthe charts with at the time.... destroying btw. This was out just before she died, her crossback was on its way to be huge. I say crossback, bc she had to go from english to spanish...then back to english. And without her J-lo ends up being just another ex Fly Girl who did a little acting once upon a time, bc before she did the Selena movie, trust she didnt have it like now.
