I get chills when I listen to this!!! I love Selena!!! I have loved her since I was 12 years old!!!❤

AB (her brother) was responsible for producing all of her music. She actually passed away a month+ after this concert. This concert was on February 26, 1995. She was taken from the Latin community on March 31, 1995. Her wedding anniversary was April 2nd and her funeral was on April 3rd. She was 2 weeks shy of her 24th birthday which is April 16th. All of the circumstances surrounding her death are truly heartbreaking.

Selena was SUCH an angel. She told kids who had met her after shows or when she was out and about to stay in school, she had traditional family values and wanted to have children someday. I was ten years old when she died and on the school bus on my way home when the news broke across the country over the radio! I was crying as she was the first female artist that looked like me at the time and I knew I’d never get the chance to go and see her at some point. She’s buried in Texas and has a statue dedicated to her by the bay called “over look of the flower” in her honor. Definitely look it up or go and see it if you ever find yourself down that way. I knew the day she died that future generations would one day hear her music and then learn of her death and more tears would be shed for her… her voice could stir so many souls. Check out some of the documentaries that have been done on her surrounding the day it actually happened and it’ll explain alot as well.

Selena's sister Suzette( drums) didn't play this concert because she had a foot injury. Pete Astudillo was not at this concert either. Her brother is behind Don Shelton. He's on the bass guitar. Her husband Chris Perez is on the guitar.

Selena is the best!!!!!

Pete Astudillo wasn’t in this concert, that was a different person, background dancer to her right, I forgot his name? Pete by this time went solo and he had long hair not short. And Suzzette (her sister) was out sick for this concert, so she couldn’t play the drums. The other background dancer is Don Shelton “The brother with the gold Chain on” who died of cancer a few yrs ago.

Selena was killed a month later :( she did several performances after this concert which you can still see some are in good quality but Selena’s last concert was March 19th and I’m sure it was in Miami my mom went to her concert in Chicago on march 16th I think or 11th and that was the last time to see Selena

Denim and Diamonds, a club in Bryan on March 19, 1995 was her last concert.

She wasn’t killed a couple of days later. She was killed about a month later. This wasn’t her last concert. Yes it was her last BIGGEST concert. But her last concert was a smaller event. In March around the 2nd or 3rd week of March.

Selena had 2 more concerts in March '95. This performance was in February. I believe her last concert was March 17th 1995. Close to a week before her death

This was her last televised performance but she performed after this show. Her sister didn't go because she was injured. Why you guys don't like the other back up singer? lol She sang this last song of the concert so great. This video is the one I always wave back at the screen every time. Great reaction.

I heard y'all say you were watching the netflix series, so please don't judge Chris on the portrayal of him in it. Her family nor Netflix contacted him to speak about how things went on between them and made it seem like he was jealous of her. When in fact Chris always supported Selena and is currently being sued by her father bc Chris is saying that her father came to him in a moment of weakness/distress (only 2 months after Selena died) to sign her life rights away and over to her father. He has also sued Chris for his book "To Selena, with Love" where he talks about their love and life together. It's a very beautiful book where he describes Selena not only as this perfect person that we have came to know and love, but as well as her weak moments when she struggled with the fame and the pressure of it all from her family. He also wanted to have a show/movie of their love and was sued by her dad and told he could not do so Her sister was also the one who sold out the fact that her and Chris were together. If you watch the show which Suzette and her dad helped create you can see all the pressure they put on her to not live her own life and to just keep singing. To ignore her happiness and do what everybody else wants from her.

Lol that’s actually Freddie, one of Selena’s friends from the group ‘the barrio boys’. Pete left the group in 1993 to work on his solo career.

Pete Astudillo wasn't at this performance nor was her sister Suzette, as she was sick. Selena was 23 at this point in time, February 1995. She was murdered March 31, 1995. She would've turned 24 that April. MOST of Selena y Los Dinos hit songs were co-written by A.B. Quintanilla, Pete Astudillo and Joe (don't remember his last name, but also a member of the band), and there were collaborations amongst these three in co-producing. Selena was born in Lake Jackson, Texas and raised in Corpus Christi.

me in 2024 listening to them talking about selena and selena sister couldnt make it because her ankle broke.

Fun fact Selena’s sister did not get to be there for the last concert due to her hurting her ankle.

Chris Perez is supposed to be on stage but I can't see him either - perhaps he is too far from the camera. He certainly was back with the band after being kicked out for eloping with Selena. Selena's sister, Suzette, definitely didn't play this concert due to injury.
