Sekiro All Achievements Run

Ойындар

This was basically a learning/practice run, but it was pretty fun except for the farming at the end. WR is wayyy faster than this so dont expect much lol. Hope you enjoy either way (Had to reupload cause last video was stuck at 360p) -- Watch live at / distortion2

There's just something about Sekiro. I know I'd hate it so I've never bought it, but even with playthroughs and speedruns its also... so boring o_O For some reason I can't figure out, it just turns me off so hard. I've played and love - and watch many playthroughs and speedruns of - DS to BB, but Sekiro is just... I don't know. Its not that its different, its just, bland? Somehow? How is that even possible? I don't know. Just venting haha

maybe because the core gameplay itself doesn't offer much in term of variety in soulborne games, u can spec and create a character of your own choosing with many different varieties u can be a berserker with a giant sword, a warlock, a thief, a naked monstrosity with a one shot hammer, etc... in Sekiro it's all the same kind of gameplay loop of countering and trying to break posture until u can take the whole hp bar down in one move

I think the appeal of Sekiro is that it’s a more linear and story driven game. Also, for people who enjoy this period of Japan and the mythology. In DS/BB you are a voiceless protagonist so that you can fill in whatever attributes you want. The story in those games is also very vague at times. In Sekiro there are actual characters with clear motivations and conversations happen between them and the main character. Lastly, the parry and swordplay system is the most refined out of any of From’s games.

@@IMPYEMU Hmm, perhaps, but the plot is still super thin. They needed a lot more to justify the limited gameplay.

@@satyasyasatyasya5746 The plot is not thin nor is the gameplay limited. There is a combination of item-driven storytelling (like OG Dark Souls) as well as exposition from characters to drive the story forward. It's one of the most straightforward stories made by FromSoft, but that doesn't mean that it lacks depth. As far as gameplay goes, the different prosthetic items as well as many possible combat skills mean you have a lot of options when it comes to combat; it's just that most people don't use anything beyond the deflects and shurikens, and maybe one or two combat skills. If the gameplay doesn't appeal to you, that's fine, but there's a reason it won GOTY. Don't mistake refinement of concepts (both story wise and gameplay wise) for lack of depth.
