Lining Up the Shot: 4 Standards for Adult Immunization Practice, is a five-part series of short, 3 to 5-minute videos to help health center staff apply the four Standards for Adult Immunization Practice. These standards were developed by the National Vaccine Advisory Committee.
This segment explores the fourth and final standard - Document. It is important to properly document all vaccines administered or refused. Viewers will learn about proper documentation in the health center’s electronic health records (EHR) and in the national immunization information system (IIS) or vaccine registry. It’s also beneficial for patients to gain access to their own vaccine history records.
