    For astronomy and Astrophotography Seestar is better. Dwarf 2 is better at scenery and birds or wide life having the landscape orientation and object tracking. Will make a comparison video soon on deep sky side by side lunar and solar

    I was able to turn the Drawf 2 into an equatorial telescope by aligning it with Polaris. Is it possible to do the same with the Seestar to avoid field rotation?

  • @GalaxyArtMedia

    @GalaxyArtMedia

    8 ай бұрын

    I tried that also with the dwarf 2 it diminished the field rotation but not removed it entirely on long plans. With the Seestar s50 you cannot use it in equatorial mode

  • @GalaxyArtMedia

    Regarding the field rotation compared with dwarf 2 i noticed the Seestar has less , and i could go longer plans up to two hours, it will depend also of the dso imaged. On Orion Nebula i made one hour stack and had 0 gradients

    Is it a product from China ? What's the quality like ?

  • @GalaxyArtMedia

    @GalaxyArtMedia

    8 ай бұрын

    Zwo is Chinese..so yes. Most of the astronomy cameras and telescopes are made today in China. Regarding quality it is better than I expected at this price. Good optics. Triplet refractor without fringing. Quality dual band filter Good tracking, stacking and autofocus and Good goto. all in a small black box

    @@GalaxyArtMedia Even Celestron and Meade telescopes are made in China these days, if I'm not mistaken. As far as I know the company who manufactures Dwarf II is a company based in Hong Kong, I suppose it's also Chinese made as well since the labour cost is lower in China. I would like to get Seestars S50, but I've concerns about its shoddy quality.

  • @GalaxyArtMedia

    @@ButchCassidyAndSundanceKid what i can tell you is that, it can survive a fall if it drops down, so build quality is good, other telescopes might not survive, will make a video about the drop test later on, the only think i would change is the kit tripod, i do not believe in small tripods for heavier devices. regarding image quality and ease of use , i can say that is top 10, auto focus works very good, it also does calibration frames each new night in 1 min or less, the filter is very good, the software is very good. Zwo borrowed to me for the moment but i think will buy it also if they do not decide to leave it as a gift after finishing the reviews. Is a must have telescope at this price especially if you begin astrophotography, even if you have a 5000$ at home still can be useful for travel or lunar and solar. comparing with dwarf ii this will be a future video also, but at the moment seestar looks to be better quality

    @@GalaxyArtMedia I have to agree with you, the very first thing I noticed was the tripod, it is so short. They probably expect you to lie on the ground or have a table where you can put the telescope on. Another thing I'm not sure is the planets, they're so tiny, I mean I expect to see the Cassini Division on the Saturn or the Giant Red Spot on the Jupiter like you can on the Celestron C8.
