Yes! I'd definitely be interested since there are no viewfinder options available at all for certain cameras, having the option to place a VF on any camera would be amazing!

I think this is awesome - Especially the idea of using with a Viewfinder attachment that would be awesome with the app (as per in your video 5:05 )- it would be brilliant for cameras without viewfinders such as SONY FX30, I agree with you Philip, I actually think it's odd and irritating not having a viewfinder on a cinema camera (OR any camera for that matter.), I would love to try this SeeMo Pro out. Thanks for sharing the great content.

Glad I saw this! I was just about ready to pull the trigger on a PortKeys LEYE. Already having an iPad Pro & iPhone, maybe I'll hold out a little longer to see if Zacuto go ahead with their adapter bracket for the FX6 🤓

I’ll be honest, I picked up an used SmallHD Sidefinder last year and am just loving the setup! I only wish they had kept supporting the hardware in the Bright models with the same external design and properly supported audio in the cross conversion and when adding a LUT on the output.

Amazing concise and informative review! I’m sold!

Nice, I saw that on display and played around with it a little bit at NAB, the only reason I didn't pick up the first version was how brittle it felt, the new case seems much more durable for working pros. Also it's properly pronounced "aluminum" just as Phillip says and I am an American but I did go to 3 years of primary school in a British school overseas so that could come into play...

@@philipbloom It’s also ALUMINUM haha. The British chemist - Sir Humphrey Davy - who coined the word “aluminium” also gave us the word “aluminum”. He would use them interchangeably in his publications. Can’t blame the Americans for that one. Always great to watch your video. Cheers mate. Peace bro!

The viewfinder is AWESOME. The one on my x70 isnt too good.

This actually looks great, but I agree with you on the iPad mini. Seems like it would be the perfect size device if it weren't so outdated. On a different note, how are you liking the Freewell iphone case/filters? I use a variety of the their filters and would love to know your thoughts on them and would love to see the results you get from them. Thanks!

Nice review. I have the SeeMo Pro… it’s buggy with the Prolycht’s Chroma Link app. It seems that setting more than one light to sync to background colors causes the lights to do unpredictable things. I do hope Prolycht addresses this issue.

With the cineview I've managed to make its work with the MacBook Pro M1 even though its not officially supported. I'd imagine that would be the case with this as well. Makes it a great 16in directors monitor with built in battery!

Great video and I saw your power solution for the unit, so I did some further investigation as I would also like an external power supply for long running events. Question :- My setup is my audio in to the unit comes in via HDMI and the HDMI out goes to my LiveU solo unit. I was wondering, in this setup can I mute the audio from the reply while the live HDMI audio is being used instead? I have live commentary during the events and dont wish to use the audio from the replays.

Super curious about this. Can you still record 4k60 from your camera while using this? I am looking for something just to use as a bigger screen than the built in screen on my Fuji xs20. I don’t really need to record to it or even use raw video or anything. Any help would be appreciated!

I have Ipad pro and iphone and torn between this device which cost 350$ and blackmagic video assist 5 inch 12g which cost 800$. With this device I can use my ipad 11 pro but with blackmagic video assist I can record braw from panasonic s5iix although I think 5 inch display a little bit small, 7 inch version is heavy.😐

Hello bro! SDI loop out is working when using SDI in port, SDI loop out doesn't work when HDMI input.

What I guess should be added in cost is one of those iPad mounts you have. What is it BTW? It looks great

@@PaulKepnerProductions they make a simple device called the M1 but I think their issue with Android is the enormous number of different models out there which makes it hard to make a really stable piece of hardware like this.

Guess what, this may be insignificant for some but it’s a huge find for me LOL…I purchased the iPhone 15 Pro Max a few weeks ago and guess what…the accsoon seemo (non pro version) actually charges the phone via usb-c…so if you have the 1st version and the iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max, you should be able to charge phone while using seemo adapter.

Yes, there is a power across the USB C connection, just not lightning in the original. I think I mention this in my original video when using an iPad Pro with USB-C

Hey love your vid on sony auto focus. Can i ask you more question about it? Cause I was working on a series with fx3 and g master lenses. We were using the auto focus system and there were some issues with it, but no one knows what cause it. I have some footage we can review maybe you could help with it.

It’s connected via HDMI or SDI. No data is transferred along that

Thanks for the video, Philip.I have the Accsoom Seemo pro and use it with the ipad mini 6th generation and find that the ipad freezes every 1-3 minutes. I have to disconnect the USB and reconnect to get the video going again.

Thanks Philip. I did quite a bit of experimenting this weekend and discovered that the new Pro works well with my old 12.9 inch Ipad pro (gen 2) with a lightening connection and with my apple phone lightening connection. There must be a software glitch with the Ipad Mini ver 6 as the usb connection continues to be a problem. I've tried disconnecting the wifi, turning off the VPN, and few other experiments to no avail. I'm using the latest and same firmware versions on all the ipads and phone. Mystery, hoping that someone may read this and possibly have a fix. Best, GB

Accsoon Support provided the following response to the Apple Mini 6 screen freeze issue: "This issue only exists on the iOS devices which are equipped with USB-C, so that's why iPad Pro and iPhone work without issue. We will have a beta firmware release soon. Also we have reported to Apple about this issue and hope they can fix it in their future iOS release."

It's a nice monitoring tool, but I would only record to it if I were desperate since it can only do 1080p (and for how long?). That might not be Accsoon's fault, but it is a huge limitation of this solution. I am disappointed that they apparently killed off the M1 for Android. That could have been useful for me if I needed to record long takes from my camera (which has a 30-minute limit). Even though it's only 1080p, I would be willing to make that tradeoff for event work. Still, something like a used Ninja V would be a better solution for not much more money.

It’s not an Atomos replacement. It records proxies which has a very specific use for clients and social media. No phone, iOS or Android can do proper recording as they do target frame rates. Not accurate. I don’t see 1080p recording as a huge limitation at all. How many monitors let you record anything?

Erm did you miss the Sony ZVE1 or something? Looks like a super interesting potentially industry changing camera… Any reason why not reviewed it yet?

@@philipbloom I was under impression you review interesting cameras. That one is certainly more interesting than fx30 for sure. If you check google trends you will see people are interested. Totally up to you though, just thought you genuinely did not register as it is marketed as consumer / vlogger camera. They are about to release two more bodies in same shape. No more evf. Thats whats changing. Semi pro or not its amazing you can get fx6 / a7s3 sensor in a camera for a 2k mark. Plus they used FX3 to shoot the Creator (and both cameras share similar body shape as well as exactly same sensor). Anyhow though would try and ask see why 🤷🏻‍♂️

Is it BMPCC 4-6K compatible?

Any device which outputs via HDMI or SDI is compatible as long as that signal can be set to 1080p

@@ACCSOON on Panasonic S5 iix mode is 4k 10 bit 4:2:2 v log 24p. And it would be nice to make bundle with NP-F style battery in the box. I know it forces you to make larger redesigned box, but to some countries batteries restricted to send, but when it is like batteries in the cameras box factory included there is no restrictions.

What do you think about Nikon Z9?

@@victordelacruz8440 It depends on your needs, if you only need HDMI and charging the iPhone is not a key feature then SeeMo will be the right choice.

So, with the new iPad OS update you can just use a standard USB-C/HDMI video dongle for like $25. iPhone still needs a device.

@@AerialMediapro it’s fine. It’s just you can connect a Sony camera to an Xperia 1 phone but if you use the poor built in Sony monitor app on the modern cameras you are stuck to streaming rates. You can use some third party apps but they don’t have the resolution or functionality of this and the See app. The best is monitor + as it gives you control of functions but it’s not even 720p.

She speaks perfect American English, but after living in Australia now for 12 years she's slowly coming around to the "correct" manner of speech. We enjoy making fun of each other, which is why I loved your polite request for Americans to please start using aluminium instead of aluminum. Haha! As for the language settings, I discovered this feature a while back, after many years of using "Airplane mode" myself. It may have to do with the keyboard you're using. Try going to settings > general > keyboard. Mine is set to "English (Australia)", and I see "Aeroplane mode" on the main settings page. Not sure if this is what I changed, but something I did a while back changed the spelling. I love your channel by the way. I'm starting out as a wedding videographer, and I've learned heaps from you! (Heaps = a lot... it's an Aussie thing). Thanks mate!
