To clarify: the game isnt some ungodly, monstrous, unmitigated disaster that stole your girlfriend and pissed in your cornflakes. It's a better Troy with a massively disappointing, limited scope being sold for $60...the lack of a big beautiful Bronze Age map is its #1 problem and it's a shame because it could've been great. Im so sick of small-scope Total War games being sold at full price...they have no longevity! We want to be able to play TW games for years! My review is in progress.

Don't worry, there'll be an Achaemenid DLC for 30 bucks, then Babylon, then Assyria, then Minoans, then Mitanni, then Elamite, then Arzawa. After that a super special deluxe DLC where you can actually play as the sea people where you have to try to destroy civilization. When it's all finished you can buy the collectors edition for 300 bucks

They don’t care about us anymore. I’m still playing Rome 2 and shogun 2
I fear that CA and SEGA will decide that since this failed massively, people aren't interested in historical anymore. They'll release medieval 3 with lords and heroes who can wipe out hundreds of men and have bogus abilities.

@@FMJIRISHbut not online. They cant see how many are playing Medieval 2, because most of them are playing either pirated version or old physical disk version (for which i dout it can run properly on newer OS without some heavy moding). Edit: and on steam its less popular then Rome 2, i dont think that sparks confidence on risking releasing Medieval 3 if they are not sure if there is player base for it that they are 100 %sure would buy it (shareholders want actual hard data that they can access to before releasing and unfortunately they dont see Reddit posts as hard evidence that there people how would buy Medieval 3).

@@madkoala2130 I'm not sure that's true. I would say most people play it on Steam to be honest.

It is because disasters like this, that we don't need any shitty medieval total war 3
They finally create a title set in the Bronze age and cut out at least 40% of the Bronze Age world. It's like making Rome 3 and only focusing on Italy, Gaul, Spain and North Africa.

im sitll waiting for the Total war empires 2
hahahahaha I totally forgot what the line was, that was 🤣
Might be the only total war ill never buy. Fucking wish they would release a late medieval / early pyke and gun powder era.
If you were interested in the full Bronze Age experience, I recommend my book seven times and seven times i bow. It's a book that covers the lives, wars and political intrigue of Ancient canaan Andrew Egyptian occupation in the 13/16 BC.
im just cycling from med 2, rome 2, empire, and napoleon. ill wait until a dlc to play pharaoh.
You can't make this up🤣
That would be an interpretation of the middle east and Egypt Israel and the land of the kings take geography look at real map you will see the resemblance

Lmao I HOPE this meme ages poorly, and that the new map makes Pharaoh awesome and near-Rome 2 levels of diversity and replayability 👍.

I agree, but it's not entirely unjustified. The player numbers are abysmal for a reason.

The map is unquestionably a let down and is a design decision I can't wrap my head around. I LOVE the Bronze Age setting and have been waiting for a Bronze Age Collapse Total War. The game is pretty fun, but that limited scope map majorly hurts this game's replayability for me compared to something like Rome 2 with it's big beautiful map filled with different colorful cultures. I think you will appreciate my review when it drops. There's plenty of good in this game, but they wasted a golden opportunity for it to be a great FULL Total War Historical title with a Grand Campaign. Sadly, the player numbers are bearing this out. If the map was BIG in terms of scope, I feel like it would have been much better received.
