For MP, if I see enough demand I will make an MP compatible version, which will however remove the randomness of the Gallic Invasion. And since you guys are here, you can expect a rework of the Aitolian League, as well as something new for Ptolemaic Egypt in 2022 ;) P.S. The Cappadocian Cavalry has actually been repurposed as shock cavalry since almost everything in the Greek world at that time was shock cavalry (the Aitolians were the only ones that were known to use melee cavalry more extensively)

I somewhat prefer the more "condensed" maps to those of the grand campaign, i don't know why but fully conquering the aegean makes more sense than the entire world as the Iceni.

@@happycompy I did! First Assassins game I ever played (because of the setting) and I’ve racked up so many hours in the game - absolutely love it. It’s really satisfying getting to meet some of the famous classical characters and see the famous sites. Is it a favourite game of yours?

So happy the mod got a shout out. Just one small correction, both Cs in Cappadocia, are pronounced with a hard K, just like PoliorKetes.

The map of WoS is so good for a campaign set during the time period coverd on Tsardoms for med 2. I don't know how hard it would be to port the units of 1100 to this map though.

Bro vanilla WoS was so disapointing, Hegemonia City states for Rome 1 made almost everything better and it came out in 2007. And thanks for the recommendation!

Yup, the Pelop war sells but this period of history is much more dynamic.

Great video! I love the Wrath of Sparta map, but never got into the campaign, like you said, a total hoplite grind fest! Those elephants look tasty though, some really good scenes here!

Btw, do you know if this mod takes a lot from the requirements? I experience a lot of lag with overhauls such as DEI even if I move them to the data folder.

It might be marginally more taxing than vanilla because there are unique armor models and such, however it should run more or less the same. Wrath of Sparta isn't a taxing DLC in my experience.

Looks a brilliant mode but the one thing that made me stop playing Rome 2 was the weaker factions steam rolling over the powerful factions. There was a mod that stopped this but it wasn’t available anymore. I like to take a moderate faction and make them powerful like in wrath of Sparta I managed to get a mod that allowed me to play as Rhodes. Built up a powerful navy and colonial empire and allied myself with Sparta against Athens. When I reached the mainland Sparta and Athens were nearly wiped out and it was weaker factions with terrible unit rosters that were the main challenge. Same on the normal campaign I wanted to play as Macedon and after many turns Rome, Carthage and the Seleucids get wiped out. Has this glitch been resolved in this mod?

The mod doesn't do anything specific to address that issue afaik, and I haven't gotten to the late game yet in my playthroughs so I can't really answer your question unfortunately. For the grand campaign there is a mod called major faction empires by Mitch which will solve your problem.

Hey, I am sorry for being off-topic, but I have a question which I felt was more appropriate to ask on here about the Community Patch mod. It seems like the issue with AI randomly declaring war and then suing for peace is back again. I was wondering if this issue has been reported before - because I recall the Community Patch had it fixed and then a few months ago it came back again. Thank you in advance.

Hmmm, when I "fixed" it, it only reduced the problem, I couldn't really get rid of it without breaking peace negotiations.

@@happycompy Thank you for the reply. That's very strange - I remember when you first announced the fix, it worked perfect for me - including peace negotiations. But then, a few months later, the mod was updated, and the issue started re-occurring.

i hope the mod author adds thebes as a playable faction, with the theban sacred band

They're both fantastic and have completely different approaches. I appreciate DP's minimalism and DLC-like quality, but Hellenika is far more comprehensive.

are there ways to download these mods without steam workshop?

Concerning sanitation mechanic, I may tell you that it doesn't work well (I used the mod which merges it and People of Rome). The issue is that AI doesn't know to deal with that mechanic, and if you share a province with AI you'll suffer from pest all the time, thus no growth.

Yeah, the AI simply ignores that feature, this is also the case in Empire Divided and in Attila as far as I know

@@Gyrosmeister I didn't know that it happens in Empire Divided since I don't own it. I thought that the modders hadn't implemented it properly, but if it happens in vanilla as well it's not their fault. It's the same with food, I've had to install a mod which gives to the AI a great food surplus and still it manages sometimes to starve. Amazing.
