We live in a time where everybody wants to do away with traditions, but if you think about it, traditions like this one are the foundation of a nation, a people, a culture. Tradition is what connects people together.

2:11 I wonder if Prince George realizes that one day he will be sitting on the throne going through this same ceremony. He's so young, but his day will eventually come.

You don’t see or hear it on the video. But I was less than a mile away at The Gaurdsman with my balcony door open, watching on tv. When the crown was seated on his head all of the bass drummers hit their drums at one time. It was loud and pretty incredible.

That crown was made for Charles II during the restoration, now on the head of Charles III centuries later. An historical moment to witness.

Oh, I watched it live in Minnesota with my delighted eyes absorbing every detail of the glitz and historical richness. My mom once said I would fit in well with the royals, because I have so much respect and appreciation for this sort of thing. I don't know about the first thing, but the second is definitely true. 😊

I missed the actual moment he was crowned but when I got back to the livestream it was still stunning to see him even just wearing it. A literal king on his throne. It’s a historic day for everyone but it’s amazing to think of Prince William and Prince George watching him and knowing each of them is looking at his own eventual future.

That crown is really heavy! I remember Her Late Majesty commenting on it as she had to remain real still. I did see it wobble a bit and she did put her hand on it to steady it. She is so proud of her son today. Both of his parents are. Its also sad since he realises if it wasn’t for his mother’s passing he would not be king now. I would be tearing up….

We have wealthy people in the western world who garners their wealth and do not give an inch back to society. I thought we would have been more progressive in 2023….- and then there is royalty- who has symbolic power and inherited wealth which they give back in serving their country. I miss King Jong Il. He was such a wonderful ruler and human being. Unlike his son Kim Jong Un. The world knew peace and prosperity under the strong yet gentle hand of Kim Jong Il. We can only pray for another man like him to come and lead humanity into a golden age.

Cheater Charles is a farce worldwide. His mother had integrity and respect. No one respects him and he knows it. He and corrupt Camilla r a farce and a joke worldwide. Charles knows he’s been disliked for decades, including Camilla. Otherwise, they would be gleaming right now, but u can see how awkward they really are. It’s a farce without Queen Elizabeth now. Wait and see. Charles is completely incompetent.

My mother was the same age as queen Elizabeth. She was a young teenager living in Liverpool during the war. Houses were bombed around her and had a German shooting her and her sister. They ran around a wall. The pilot swung and my mom and her sister ran back around the wall. The pilot tried one more time before flying away. Outfitted by a couple of teenage girls.

One of the greatest monarchy with preserved long history. Without past history there is no present or future. Long live the King.

In British Law there is no legal mechanism for a reign to end other than death. Unlike in 1936 when Edward VIII abdicated and London could legislate for what was then the British Empire, it would require all 15 of the Commonwealth Realms to pass legislation for the monarch to abdicate plus all 54 nations to elect a new Commonwealth Leader. It's not going to happen Charles, like his mother will reign until he dies.
