With the Apple TV+ series See now streaming in over 100 countries and regions around the world, I recently sat down with Jason Momoa and Hera Hilmar for an exclusive interview. If you’re not familiar with See, it was created by Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders) and it takes place in the distant future after a deadly virus decimated humankind. Those who survived emerged blind. Momoa stars as Baba Voss - the father of twins born centuries later with the mythic ability to see - who must protect his tribe against a powerful yet desperate queen who wants the twins destroyed. Alfre Woodard stars as Paris, Baba Voss’s spiritual leader. See also stars Sylvia Hoeks, Nesta Cooper , Christian Camargo , Yadira Guevara-Prip , Archie Madekwe, and Josh Blacker. In addition, Francis Lawrence helmed the first three episodes.
While early rumors had the Apple TV+ service as being only family-friendly and PG, I can tell you after watching the first three episodes, this is absolutely not true. The series features intense action, massive battle scenes, and doesn’t shy away from showing you some wild and savage moments. I thought the first three episodes were fantastic.
During the interview, Jason Momoa and Hera Hilmar talked about how the series pushes boundaries, the challenges of building the world from the ground up, what they learned in their boot camp before filming began, why they were so impressed with the extras on the series, how Momoa’s character is a lot different than what he’s played before, and more. In addition, Momoa talked about what it’s like having a family member playing Catwoman, when he might be filming Aquaman 2, and how excited he is for director Denis Villeneuve’s Dune.

Aquaman and Baba Voss were the right role for Jason. Represented his real person in life as a son of Hawaii
Jason literally carrying the whole interview on his shoulders 😂
Jason Momoa just gave it all in this series.. I just finished Season 3 and trust me you don't wanna miss this series if you like the kind of energy Jason brings to a character.. this character was written for him
If he dies also during this series I'll throw away my iPhone.

I thought the same thing, poor woman couldn't really get her ideas out without Momoa's sidebar. Arguably, when she did have an opportunity ( 4:25 ), it wasn't very insightful.

Honestly JUST found out about this show, and after binge watching it I'm surprised there isn't more buzz about it. I mean sure, the world-building is a bit shaky during the start (especially with the whole "masturbate while I pray" thing), but once the ball gets rolling the show is *really* good. Enjoyed it more than I enjoyed Netflix's take on the Witcher.

Jason gives a tremendous amount of respect to his supporting actors (aka BG), and that is an extremely endearing quality. The dude is awesome.
It starts in a small plot spreading into big plots and portraying every character it’s nature and depth…. It’s all chills and goosebumps… love the show…. And living in the experiences
Hera is looking like a goddess. Hope she comes to power soon in the show 🙏

See is a phenomenal series right up there with GOT. I’m upset 😭 about Paris! I hope she doesn’t really die bc she is the wisdom. All killer scenes. It looks so real.. The actors look so real being blind. The ideas the writers & directors came up with amazing. To come up with the ropes with nots for reading. The different tribes with the skills of different ways to fight amazing. Sad 😔 to that Toad 🐸 died. There is good information as being blind can see more & aware of surroundings than somebody that can see.
Seeing Momoa drinking in a bottled glass, he really practice what he preached
I find it interesting that see is a continuation of the 2008 movie blindness like literally in both the people go blind from a virus and there are still some ppl who can see it is rare. I think in blindness the movie there was only one character who was able to see still it's like blindness tells the story or is the prequel to see

I really liked SEE. I’m waiting impatiently for season 3. I’m kind of upset that “they” won’t have season 3 ready until next year sometime. Hopefully they’re making a few seasons all together so we won’t have to wait to see what other mess Kofun will get himself into. 😝
