:50 It’s funny because the actress playing Rhaena said very opposite and that there is resentment for her character. Laena wasn’t seen as friends with Rhaenyra, especially not seeing why your friend would marry your husband right after you die. Or if your husband was neglecting you and your daughter. Unfortunately HOTD doesn’t seem to be interested in developing these 2 characters past them wanting to support the team. Now they can’t even have normal human reactions. Any child would have an issue with their parent immediately remarrying. At no fault of the characters themselves, but who wrote them.
“My dad ignores me and my sister, but doesn’t ignore this brown haired boy that’s not his real son and I see nothing wrong with that.” It’s an unfortunate whitewashing of Rhaenyra’s character and everyone else’s characterization has to suffer for that. Even Laenor’s parents aren’t allowed to have a problem with Rhaenyra like it’s ridiculous how f’ed over everyone else gets in the process of trying to make Rhaenyra seem likable. If they didn’t want any resentment then they shouldn’t have created the situation with Daemon, Laena, and his daughters in the show by the poor way he treats them and poor Rhaena gets the worst of it
It gives off white feminism vibes for sure. Seems to be the theme of the show…..
@@boofool7829yes and Rhaenys losing her son right after her daughter passed and no one on team black will be allowed to question anything according to the guy who’s writing all this. This is a common trope among women writers and fans who self insert themselves into the main character, now everyone has to kiss the main characters butt and never have an issue with the way they conduct themselves. It’s also a trope of servitude given to WOC characters that are never allowed to express themselves as individual characters on screen if it stains the image of the white female character. In shows like this with a big cast it tarnishes the way everyone else is written I absolutely agree. Sucks that the actresses don’t have better writing to work with!

Thanks for this. Please edit videos like this in post so the translator's words are spoken or there are subtitles when Lee speaks. He goes on a really long time before most of us can understand what he says so doing so would make your videos tighter.

Baltar manages to survive the nuclear explosion that destroys his home due to Caprica Six using her body to shield him. Good series but so many details like this just did not ring true and detracted from the series as a whole for me. No desire to ever watch it all over again.

There is a very subtle diffrence in meaning between Lee and Shin's translation. Of course, Shin is a very highly competent translater. I think it's only from a limitation of translating and that's why we got to learn foreign languages for understanding others fully.
