A glimpse in the journey of a legendary speaker designer, not only recounted but also demonstrated by him. I would have loved to be there!
What a great presentation by Andrew. I was there a different day but, your videos do make us feel as if we’re with you.
Fantastic! 66 years ago- and the Quads still shine! My first experience to true hi-end I was 24. Full blown linn turntable, 16 mono Exposure amps and Exposure 11 pre-amp, Epos Es-14. The sales person - Dave- played Mile Davis - TuTu- my draw dropped- goose-bumps formed-Miles trumpet so vibrant and palpable-I was hooked since I always loved music since the age of five- my first record 45-Sugar Sugar. Thanks for sharing and letting me share.
Great video! Thanks for posting!
I wish I could have been there
Loved the video! Thank you for sharing it!
That was awesome. I always get a kick out of listening to Andrew’s stories. Great content. I can’t wait till the next video with the 8.8.8. 😊

Yeah that's going to be a great video too
Quads still rocks! Sounds so right 😊
Gorgeus video😊😊😊
Wow (!!!), an hour of very interesting and enjoyable entertainment with my favorite speaker designer. It doesn't matter whether you give Andrew a budget of $500 or $50,000 (or €/¥ equivalent) but you can be sure that what comes out of his mind will always get the most bang for the money. Special thanks to Jason and of course Andrew Jones too. ps: very cool music selection too.
Thank you so much for this video
lOVE Andrew ~
That was very enlightening and dare I say it much better sound than jays audio lab irresepctive of budget. The Quads sounded great and so did his iddy biddy bookshelf speakers. Some room treatment needed for the larger bass heavy concentric model but that is just preparation. And he shouldn't give up on actives just because people are ignorant.

What do you mean by “much better sound than jays audio lab”?

I limited how much room treatment I used. Partly because I had so much stuff to bring! but also because I wanted it a bit more representative of what I would h😊ave heard all those years ago. Besides the panels on the side walls, there is treatment behind the drapes

He is referring to musicality. Andrew indeed does seem to have a focus on that and great taste in it, judging from this video.
Thanks! 🙏🏻
Thank you for sharing this. Most interesting.
Amazing presentation, thank you! By the way, what is the model of the Infinity powered bookshelf speakers? I can't seem to find the reference anywhere. Very impressive!

It's the Infinity Overture 1
Wow when the vicals started i was surprised, 40 years ago you would of thought you had arrived in heaven. Apparently a stacked pair apparently is even more impressive, Noel keywood added dipole celestion subwoofer for bass down to 5 HZ
I wonder if Andrew knew Robin Marshall- The designer of Epos Es 11 and Es-14.
Sorry but I never experienced a so bad sound control like that. With music Too loud, full of distortion (over load). His accent is far from universal english easy to understand. His voice need more volume. What is all that???

LOL...you need to check what you are using to playback the video. I would suggest getting decent headphones and not use your cellphone speakers, car stereo, or whatever you're using....He wasn't wearing a mic, but you should be able to clearly hear him and the music clips. None of what I record is pre-produced, planned, scripted, etc...it's raw footage of whatever transpires captured on a cellphone.

No problem...It sounds bad if I play it on my car stereo, so it's more than likely you're using something for playback that's not helping.

@@jackmontreal1 Might I suggest some of Andrew Jones' offerings! Hah!
