Well, being an Australian cinema buff, I don’t know how I missed this gem.⭐️. This poor man had the least supportive family ever, but I never expected that. The stand out performance has to go to the policeman! I would have confessed to anything with him after me. Just quiet, relentless, never quite smiling. Brilliant performance 👍⭐️💕🤩

It's rare to find a film or tv show set in Brisbane, my home town. That beautiful street of wooden houses on high blocks, wide verandahs, stained glass windows, lattice and intricate carved fretwork (a specific architectural style known simply as 'the Queenslander') was a character in its own right. Oh ... and the series was amazing too. First class thriller that keeps you guessing to the end, yet with enough subtle clues throughout to make the ending believable.

Thank you for your comment. As an interior designer in the US, I couldn't take my eyes off the beautiful architecture and intricate design details of the Queenslander homes in Brisbane. To me, the homes were as fascinating to see as the series itself. You're right in that these pieces of living art were like characters unto themselves. Thank you for revealing the location and style pf these beautiful homes. Now I'm curious as to why these spectacular homes are built high on blocks. Will have to research.

Great movie ! I watched from 1 to last episodes nonstop! I had to know who the killer was, what an ending ! Highly recommend! excellent movie!

I almost did too. I watched as long as I could get by with, but my evening walk with my dog was becoming way overdue. I used that walk (''intermission'' time) to pick up some beer and popcorn, (which is something I rarely do, but) a drama this good just seemed to call for it. As soon as I got home... popcorn popped, jammies on, beer in hand, TV on, ''I had to know who the killer was.'' The script was amazing, the acting was superb. I did get a chuckle out of the underwear guy too.The hubby and I had a friend who moved into our guest house, kept the grass watered (smoked quite a bit of grass too), and yes, he also kept the pool clean.Truth be told, this actor looked much better in underwear (although I wasn't really looking at our pool boy stoner friend) when in the yard, underwear was his only attire. Although a completely different script, if you get netflix (may be on YT), you gotta watch, ''The Intouchables''. Be sure to watch through the credits.

I expected it. Nothing more devastating than the enemies of ones own household. Trouble is such perpetrators should be held accountable for life, not just till they’re 18. A life for a life. Not the father’s fault as someone else has said but the fault of the killer who victimized a complete innocent for her own gratification and when caught expressed no real remorse. People (adults and children) do make mistakes, from which most everyone can recover; but not from murder, child murder. From that there is no recovery. It’s Murder most foul. Tragic for Tom cut short and for his Mom a relentless future of regret and pain. The rest are the collateral damages. Only one victim here: Tom.

Stumbled upon this series looking for a good mystery and this was so compelling with the first episode I just had to watch the rest over a week of an episode a day. Kept thinking about the fascinating plot before the next episode wondering who was the killer. Brings to light the heartbreak of parents of a child murderer which does unfortunately occur. Brilliant writing and acting by everyone in the cast. Won't forget this series ever. 10/10 for sure.

Left the last episode for a bit while I savoured the suspense for a while. What an ending. Incredible acting. Did find the lead detective horrible throughout the series and Martin Henderson not going to the police with info was frustrating but seeing everything come together made up for it. Not related but I wish there were more episodes just so I could see more Martin Henderson. What a handsome man❤

Yes, the lead detective, Anthony Hayes, was "horrible." Truly a great actor to cause so much negative emotion in me from just playing a role.

Can't beat the Ozzie's for producing fantastic films/ dramas. Brilliant twist!

Knock me over with a feather. What a story. My compliments to all involved. Writers, Diectors and most of all the actors. What a show. Hey that detective was one of the good ones.I felt sorry for him at the end. The guy had a big heart, and I think that when it was all over he really hurt for the people involved. So many secrets came to be known. Just a great story. The title really fits it.

Great show. The actress who portrayed Eva has the perfect combination of precocity with a psychopathic bent. Thanks for the post.

Omg I am literally flabbergasted right now.This was the absolute best show I have ever watched in my life.A prime example of why it's important not to live in secret.Don't play silly games cause you just may win stupid prizes!!!

I definitely never saw that coming, OMG what an ending! This was a Quality production with so many Twists it kept me guessing to the end, THX So Much 4 the upload PCF! If you're going through the comments to decide to watch or not, then do yourself a favor by watching this GR8 series! ILYCSM, PEACE OUT!

I can't ever remember watching anything like this before. One of the most incredible and mesmerizing films. Totally absorbed me. So many story lines within the story. This movie had everything. Wow. I might have problems falling asleep tonight.

Great writers: giving us all the standard traps of detective fiction: the predictable suspects; the red herring; the clever sussing out one by one until the inevitable drops like a hammer. The Holmesian conclusion - when all other things have been eliminated it is the seemingly impossible that is the most likely solution.

The last 20 minutes, pure heartbreak to watch her parents and the loss of the little boy at the hands of another child.

An extraordinary film! Martin Henderson has outdone himself!

Wow!!! What a series. A lot of twist and turns that keeps you guessing until the end. Like I said, it's been a while since I seen this series. Psychological thriller. That's a thriller supposed to end. Mind-blowing!!

This series (6 episodes) is definitely worth watching. But don't read all the comments first, there are a few people who have given away the ending for some reason.

Wow I’m so at a loss for words . The writer put his foot in this one. He spun the hell out of this one 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

australian drama is the best , it's a whole other level, like "wentworth" , not one bad actor in the whole series, and there was water rats, all saints, the hospital series, and anything by chris lilley is frigging gold. european, irish and uk drama is also excellent. american series are good too , but for sheer quality grit and drama, nothing is comparable to this sort of acting.

What a gripping series, and what an ending. Congratulations to all the cast, first class from start to finishj.

Absofuckenlutely the best series I've seen from Australia since the 'Underbelly' series!!! Superb cast, superb writing, kept-me-on- the-edge-of-my-seat- drama. Total surprise ending for this Hercule Poirot fan. I Covid19 -binged the whole 6 episodes this weekend! Thank you so much for this upload.

This really was superb. Glad to see other queenslanders found this. Some wonderful shots of Brisbane displaying some of our unique architecture. The front lattice work entrance is to control the soaring heat we have in summer along with the high ceilings and wide veranders. WHAT AN ENDING..

Best thriller series I ever watched! Never expected that till almost end of Season1. Far brilliant plot than I ever watched those in Hollywood!

Totally off topic but I really like those houses and that street.

So right! They look like houses you rent for a week or two on vacation. Similar to ones in Bahamas, St. Lucia, Mexico and even Cape Cod. So airy and open, you can hear the ocean when you sleep. 💖☮

These are typical "Queenslanders", a style of home that is prevalent in the State of Queensland, Australia. This was filmed in a suburb of Brisbane, Queensland.

@@AussieBrit Yes, I'm from Brisbane and have lived in and renovated a few 'Queenslanders'. The suburb is Sherwood, in the inner west of the city, one of the city's most expensive, with an average house price of $1 million - a tad beyond the budget of a house painter and real estate agent! 😉

I wondered about that, too. Except for the youngest who so wanted her family to stay together. Children detect the slightest fissure, the slightest threat. It frightens them! Even the horribly abused child will lie about the abuse to save the family “home.”

Sherlock himself would have struggled with that one I reckon! Having a daughter myself I just loved her loyalty to her Dad the whole way through. Rare trait to find these days.

I never would’ve guessed the ending of this excellent flick. There wasn’t one dull moment in this movie. It keeps you guessing until the very end and the end is mind blowing. One of the best written movies ev-errr‼️ God bless whoever is reading this.🙏✌️

Wow I was glued to KZread for 2 nights watching this series...I couldnt stop..Masterful job! Loved every minute and the ending was definitely not a disappointment either...Just a wow movie!

Wow this was a good one. I was amazed by Eva's and her dad's acting from the beginning. And in the end they are the hub of the story. Got so involved with the story.
