The people in the comments commenting on her skin color or the way she looks as part of the reason for her success are probably the same people who would use skin color or looks as part of the reason someone might live in poverty. I think there's an element of luck, timing, and connections, but good for her. She tried and succeeded. The real cowards are those who never try or those who tear others down.

All I'm trying to say is that the difference between a successful person and a non successful person is truly just starting. It's never too late. I pray you'll get the drive to start!! I'm frustrated because I used to be able to flip things on ebay, The RealReal, Etsy. Was able to make $1,500-$2,00/month. It's impossible now!! I've gotten shut down on all the sites. I don't mislead anyone! Then last year I made wreaths, statement t shirts, decor, dog clothes at vendor fairs...spent way MORE than I ever made. 😢😢😮

A really good friend of mine sent this video to me and I have not felt more motivated to get my candle business off the ground! It is a very saturated market and it is extremely hard to find and maintain the motivation as well as stay in your own lane while doing it. I appreciate this video A LOT! Congrats Colina ! Great video! There are so many "usual" business ideas (candles are nothing new. She learned initially to teach herself) You can model from a "usual" business then figure out your unique selling point. Also Colina's "go getter" attitude gets her far. Rick is generally required.

I have an Etsy shop (personalizing/engraving necklaces and bracelets) and am up to $250k in sales a year. I have had my Etsy shop for 12 years and I have grown every year. I love that I work from home, but it’s only me. I can’t wrap my head around hiring someone. It feels overwhelming to not do 100% of everything. This channel is so inspiring. It’s opening my eyes to some things I could change and improve on.

Her story is so amazing. I love watching videos like this, gives me hope. I started making candles and I find it to be a little struggle trying to make strong scents that last even after you blow them out, and the smell is still lingering. I didn't know there was a cure time, the different types of wicks to use etc.. so I am still learning and have been reading a lot on candle making. Thank you for this video.
