Secret Tip to Export Raw Tracks in Studio One | PreSonus

Музыка

As music technology evolves, you may find yourself wanting to revisit audio files from your past. However, you could run into issues if virtual instruments or plug-ins from an old session are no longer compatible with your system. Raw audio files are the best way to help "future proof" yourself from future issues like these. Here's a secret tip on how to do this quickly and easily in Studio One.

    Why is this so much faster than the export stems option? And can you export individual midi files like this? When I try to save as midi, it takes all the midi files, not just the one I want.

    Hi! I love studio one, it's my favorite daw, and I have an idea for you that other daw don't have. Add short audio previews for projects! Over time, I (as a musician) accumulate a bunch of projects in the list and I no longer remember how this or that project sounded. So adding this feature would be a wonderful innovation. Thanks!

    How can I save songs within Studio One according to genre? Everything is bundled up and gets confusing

    After applying all the plugins and optimizing them, I got the output as you explained, but why is the sound different? When I listen to it in Studione, it is of better quality, but when it is in wav format after the output, it sounds weaker and deeper!.. So it is not good!.. Why?

    Thanks, great tips. I am new to this , so here is a question. What am i doing wrong when i use the range tool, drag and drop the files in the STEMS folder. The files are then lining up i alphabethical order. Same when i drag them back. Question: Why dont the files line up like in the song, from 1 and further on. Tips please!

    when you do it the way where you drag and drop, does s1 check for clipping? or maybe it doesn't need to?

    I’m pretty sure “save to new folder” saves all the wavs in the “media” folder. I don’t know the difference between that and what’s in this video.

    I'm interested in another issue. Is there a way to resave project so that audio data not contain silence? I use Superior Drummer as my main drum instrument. At the mixing stage I convert each drum/mike to separate audio track which usually contains a lot of silence which eats a lot of disc space. "Strip silence" feature doesn't remove silence in source audio. So maybe there is some trick that can do this? Thanks in advance for any advice.

    Two things, Joe...First, are you really keeping your precious hard drives in the attic, or is your attic climate controlled? Secondly, when you are rendering the files to the stems folder, would it be possible to keep the raw files when exporting AND the files with FX at the same time? Thanks for any thoughts!

  • @timetravelvictim

    This, It would be nice to render out both versions. Raw and FX. It would be nice if they exported with "Raw" and "FX" in the file names too.

    I use at least 8 mai tais on my tracks. is there a macro, or can I make one, to quickly transform all the virtual instrument tracks to audio? Or do i have to do it individually one by one like you did. thanks Joe!

    didnt try, I watched the video and now I comment - lazy I know, but what happens to the volume faders and panning? will they be ignored or considered?

  • @timetravelvictim

    @timetravelvictim

    I assume a track panned left or partially left (or right) would export as a stereo file. I'll have to try this tonight and see.

  • @marcotrosi

    @marcotrosi

    @@timetravelvictim I would expect that panning, stereo/mono, volume faders, phasing and gain should be ignored and the untouched audio information would be exported.Otherwise the exported material is not really usable. I might give it try too one day.

    My recent Project doesnt save my plugin adjustments. Any Idea how this could be? If i save it in a new folder its all there but If this is going to autosave one time than all Plugins are resetted when i Close and Open it again. Thats horrible. I worked 2 days without result and i was finished and satisfied before. What can i do? I worked 3 years with Studio One and never had this before. I thought i fixed that Problem after day 1 but now it happened again. What now?

    Sounds like you maybe installed something that screwed up your administrative rights. Make sure you have admin and user rights set to "ALL" in your vst folders and studio one folders.
