Honestly, the whole trapdoor shenanigans is probably going to be one of the most memorable parts of this series... a LOT of individual things just happened to work together in tandem to make it happen. Jimmy's task made him come to Pearl's house in the first place, which led to Mumbo wondering what was going on, leading him to find Pearl, Impulse came along with them to see what was happening, then Mumbo added on his section of the corner leading to him placing a few trapdoors, which led to the others also messing around with trap doors, and because Scar's task was to be Pearl's hypeman he started bringing people to Pearl's base, and then EVERYONE just sorta ended up joining in.

Mumbo only used trap doors because he has them as the entrance for his base, which he only has trap-doors because it is sideways, which only happened because of Bdoub's task in episode one.

8:28 - i'm a huge fan of these little edits you've been making lately. they're nice and subtle, but i can tell you were laughing about it for at least 10 minutes in the editing phase.

I love that Jimmy and Lizzie basically got "yes, and" -ed to death in Week 2. Everybody was just way too willing to play along!

The way some of these tasks are lining up, like mumbo having the perfect excuse to go to etho, is brilliant. Unless mumbo only suggested the planet knowing they needed wool and that etho had a wool farm, if so mumbo is a genius

the tasks generally have to be slightly more tangible than this. "Make 5 people say they're suspicious of you" could be a task, or "For 15 minutes, only do things that you normally wouldn't do", but "make everybody suspicious but never do anything" is a much harder thing to measure even subjectively.

I absolutely love that "Be friends with Etho" Is a task that they put in the cycle to be randomly picked. The fact that they knew that would be difficult for anyone on the server must have had them absolutely giggling during the planning phase.

I love how Mumbo has basically been a yes man to all the wrong people for 2 episodes straight

Honestly a joy hearing Mumbo interact with so many more hermits than he usually does - he has his core interactions with Grian and Scar on Hermitcraft which is expected, but getting to see him hang out for entire episodes with other people is so much fun!

Mumbo has posted three days in a row, that's incredibly impressive

Then others like DanTDM have shifted their content. Others like a lot of the old CubeSMP people just stopped making content or deleted their channels though.

Mumbo genuinely seems to be having a very fun time in this series and it makes me so happy. It seems he’s embraced the saying yes to anything that happens, with Bdubs’ upside down house and Jimmy’s house in pearls mound. It’s so much fun just going along for the ride even if it ends in a crash and burn sometimes

Mumbo and Etho is the combination I never knew I needed until now. Secrets aside, I think they would be a really great team!

Just make it consecutive 10 mins, being spotted adds 2 minutes to the required time. For a hard task, make it +3 minutes and total 15 minutes, and you have to "sell" the signed book to him after the time has been completed. Or as it's commonly called, black mail him with the book to get some resources out of him.

Task idea: two hermits get the same task as eachother. The task will be they figure out who else has the same task as them. They will have to walk around the server and will not be able to ask what each others task is but will somehow have to find out.

It would be really funny if everybody got the quest to become be best friends with big B for half of an episode and big B's quest was to keep everybody out of his base for 5 minutes.

this season is so different because instead of everyone doing everything with their alliance now everyone is just running around and interacting with whoever they find

Task idea: build an underground path connecting your base to another player's base without them noticing. (Though I worry this task will be too easy for some whose bases are just a few blocks from other players)

It was mentioned that when killing a mob they'd have a small chance of getting the spawn egg so that's probably why

Just some proposals for challenges: - Convince a player that you are being hunted/watched by another player and make the player that scared that he/she states to "have seen" things. - Build a house out of flammable material, get a player to argue about its style - and then burn it down in a burst of fury just to see how the player reacts. - Steal one valuable item from at least 3 different players really obviously without being mentioned - and run away without explanation when mentioned by the robbed player. (Each attempt must target a different player.) - Pretend to have a monopoly on sand and sell it for a ridiculously high price to at least 3 different players. - Uglify your skin and be at least in one conversation where nobody mentions your skin problems in the first 5 minutes. (A new conversation only counts if you speak with at least one of the participants for the first time since getting your task.) - Survive at least half the session ONLY on raw chicken. - Difficult: Pretend to have found a glitch in the game where you can "legally gain more hearts if you get hit by a zombie and a player at the same time" and convince a player to let you test it out on him. - Difficult: Try to sell usele.. *uhmmm* useful "mystery" items to other players for diamonds without showing them the item before the trade happens. At least one player must decide to trade for an item TWICE - and must get two unproportionally worthless items in return from you.

This episode solidified it as the best Life season so far. Way more kind-hearted and absurd. It'll be a slower build up to war and I love every second of these early, green days.

27:32 sounds like one of those perpetually descending sound illusions and also a plane landing

I love how Grian’s like “you know we’re going to have to kill each other someday?” and he’s worried about how prepared mumbo is, when Mumbo will probably have the most lethal base within the next 10 episodes. Really the only thing that could actually kill mumbo is mumbo himself, which is I guess one way to nerf him 😂

Love how most of people are having a happy go lucky time. And then there is Grian who is preparing for an upcoming war

“I don’t know why I shouted at you I’m sorry, it was just natural” made me laugh so hard bc grian didnt even do anything and it was just a force of a habit LOL

I'm loving this mound arc, when I was at primary school we had a 'mound' gang where we would hang out on the top of a mound in the playground and this is bring back those memories 😊
