Horse spawn eggs, if I recall correctly, always spawn them with "run of the mill" stats, so Mumbo's horse was likely just VERY average in everything, meaning everyone else's was VERY slow.

I like how Mumbo, trying to avoid weird interactions derived from fleeing from 1 on 1 talks, avoided 1 on 1 talks preemptively, making this a very acurate social anxiety simulator.

Martyn focusing on Scar while Grian focused on Mumbo, and then the two pairs crashing into each other while all are getting excited/panicky for different reasons is definitely what's pushing this season to the top of my favorites. So many fantastic interactions and dynamics that would never come about from their normal personalities.

I have no idea how people are gonna do that animatics for this season. The drama and special moments in previous seasons followed a progression and normal development, but this season doesn't seem to have time for drama because everyone is busy with their own task. It feels like a lot less social games and meaningful diplomacy occurs when "be friends/hostile to X player" is a task held by someone in almost every session. It's fun and funny, but feels closer to hermitcraft than to a life series.

BigB's been really good with that this season. He actively does about three "tasks" an episode, alongside his main task, which are thought-out tasks. Or as other players put it, "the hole has changed you", or "you're gaslighting us every session". Paid off people to say nothing about his base, dropped a diamond and asked for it back, brought people into his base then insisted they get out the moment they got inside... No one is guessing his real tasks. Really in the spirit of Secret Life.

Every time I think this season can't get any weirder then we've got things like one-man musicals, a single person committed to it being opposite day and Mumbo scared of one on one confrontations, and no one realises.

It would definitely be a hard task imo because you'd have to convince someone to get near a dispenser, and if they look inside and ask, you might fail your task. You could put a carpet on top of a floor dispenser, but still, telling someone to do anything will be really suspicious.

21:02 Now I want zombie horses to turn into drowned horses after being underwater for long enough. Slightly _(I mean SLIGHTLY, we aren't talking strider levels of slow here)_ more sluggish on land, but you can properly ride them underwater without getting kicked off. And putting a skeleton horse in powdered snow will turn them into stray horses, which is the same slowed thing as zombie horses but instead of being able to swim, they have built-in frost walker.

This task was amazing, It was ever-present but hard enough to keep the yellows guessing. Honestly BigB and Bdubs really aided you by getting you on a horse :D I loved all this.

i love watching gem's perspective first, because it didn't even seem like mumbo was running away from her to me. seemed more like he genuinely fell and just left in a jokingly embarrassed huff. really gives an outside view of how difficult it really was for people to tell what mumbo was up to XD

Grian randomly coming in belting out his greeting is one of the funniest things from this series

This may be the funniest single task of the season so far. The way you would flee if ever alone with somebody was just peak comedy. Especially when you tripped and fell because Gem complimented your tree.

This has been the most hilarious one so far. Just confusing everyone got me legitimately laughing out loud

Secret life is such a vibe. I don't think I've enjoyed a life series this much since last life. I really love the weirdness of this series!

Anyone else notice how Mumbo didn’t get the 8 spuds he was promised, he only got 7. I won’t rest until this injustice is resolved

Wow, the mounders are looking really good so far! As of the start of next session: Bdubs is green, has FULL hearts, 26 xp levels and enough diamonds to start using them Pearl has 15 hearts but *56* xp levels, which means *9* max level enchantment attempts before she goes below 30, she will be completely geared out within the first few minutes. Mumbo is also green with 14 hearts, is more geared than most so far, and will now have access to a full enchanting set up as well (i assume). Even Joel isnt in bad shape. Hes got enchanted diamond gear (so he doesn't have to go to the death mines for a while) and hes still got 20 hearts.

audibly laughed for no reason when i heard jono's music playing during he horse race throws me back to those golden months with boatem * wipes tear dramatically*

The beauty of this task is that it's already natural to flee in terror when you see a yellow name :')

Task idea: Empty out your entire inventory, only hold and use items that you borrow or steal from other players for the whole session. You may only keep the book

TASK SUGGESTION: (The Unwanted Wardrobe Upgrade) Get 3 people to wear a piece of curse of binding leather armor through whatever means necessary, you can trick them into putting it on or use a hidden dispenser, whatever works.

I love the whimsy this series inspires. A tour around the server on horses/camel? Yeah sure, why not!

Task idea: When in any conversation you must constantly be in motion If you’re Mumbo you can’t move at all for a whole conversation

Wow mumbo is really starting to figure this out, hes ending with more hearts than he started with, he really did great with that horse distraction, and hes not even CLOSE to the first yellow. Actually hes lasted past 2 people turning RED. Itll be interesting to see how it goes when PVP starts though. Im assuming based on the hints theyve dropped that red names could get tasks involving violence right?

This episode made me laugh SO much, just everyone trying to guess mumbos task and thinking it was horse related was just hysterical

Task Suggestion: Like a poet. Every interaction you have, you need to rhyme everything you say for the rest of the session.

*33:30* This has to be one of my favorite (And the most underrated) visual gags of the entire series, the way it extremely silently cuts to Mumbo grabbing the zombie horse egg with a very silent devious chuckle and then immediately cuts to Martyn angrily screaming ''WHERE DID YOU PULL THAT ONE FROM?!'' with him having not the slightest clue but the Audience knowing every bit just because of that one frame... It's phenomenal yet subtle editing and a real sign of Mumbo's filmmaking and editing skill.

Man, watching Secret Life really makes me realize how solitary Tango usually is... Now that I think about it, I hardly ever see him outside his main alliance.

I love Mumbo's energy at getting 8 baked potatoes!

I love how that Enderman just strolled over in the background, stole a block of dirt from Bdubs' base, hung out there for a while with it, and then kept periodically showing up in other parts of the video, like it was flexing. That was that Enderman's task for the day.

I feel like this task was written by tango as the "Flee in terror" is a trademark thing to say for him

Idea: Put a hole in the ground beside your base, so it looks like the ground got picked up and set back down on its side.

I love how Mumbo’s shenanigans once again have little to do with his task

I love how the other hermits where genuinely considering the possibility that you’d gone insane

I love how this series just makes everyone so confused to the point that normal in-character behavior is considered extremely weird.
