If Grian's goal was to make jokes that no one would laugh at, maybe targeting the one person who always laughs at his jokes wasn't the best idea. Although the fact that he was the one to immediately instigate the pun-off was probably the best outcome Mumbo could have asked for.

Something is so sweet about Mumbo stressing about his tasks and then Grian showing up and suddenly the task is already done lmao

The way Mumbo contributed to people's tasks: Not laughing at Grian's first pun joke, his inability to craft a shield and giving Jimmy the opportunity to break his crafting table THREE times, matching Bdubs' uncomfortable house because he thought it looked cool, saying Impulse's obsession with cherry was "culty". What a hilarious first session!!

"we're gonna cause... *a fence"* is probably the best pun Mumbo came up with. everything about it - the buildup, Mumbo realising what his next move will be and *audibly smiling* as he talks, the delivery, the fact Grian was facing away down a tunnel so Mumbo *perfectly* volleyed the fence over him to land on the block directly in front of Grian right as he said it - it's phenomenal. i have watched this part 78 times.

The puns task is the new AHAA from a the Last Life series. Same energy, different jokes.

I love how Hermit Challenges has gone from a sporadic, random way to bug Iskall, to a sporadic and random series of it's own

For someone who calls himself not social he figured out Scar's hard task really fast. You can really tell from his voice when he says "that's a lot of names coming from you".

The fact that in Last Life, traps did less damage due to a setting error, meaning Mumbo's traps could have killed a lot more people. I wonder how many kills he'll get this season!!

The placing of his trapdoors being perfectly synced with the music is another example of mumbo's magical editing skills

The first 10 minutes of this episode made a bad day much better just the classic grian mumbo combo makes me smile ear to ear

Mumbo not knowing the Shield recipe while creating Redstone contraption IS the funiest thing ever

Mumbo and Grian together make some of the most iconic moments in the Life Series and in probably any short-term SMP ever made.

As soon as Bdubs suggested your team name I literally spat out my cereal lmao I love it

At 4:06 there were literally two apples floating in the background and seeing both grian and mambo not notice it really killed me from the inside

I like how Mumbo could have easily avoided the "top of the roof" issue by giving the house an even width. The he could have just put two stairs there. That would also make it possible to make the doors actually usable without having to go into crawling mode or anything.

Martyn getting first blood in terms of pvp damage is exactly what I expected, after seeing the other life seasons

just got here after watching grian's episode and the similarity at the start with them both having pun related tasks and both having 8 logs total but 1 log didnt wanna stack with the other 7 is astounding

I have seen a few other POVs, and it's happened to the people who were collecting logs while they received their secret

Cleo's "Maybe NOT?" to the Axis suggestion absolutely killed me.

This was absolutely wonderful, thanks Mumbo! Also it really is crazy how aesthetically pleasing Pearl managed to make a small mound of grass & dirt look. I genuinely have never seen a better looking small mound of grass and dirt blocks since I started playing minecraft 13 years ago.

I love that I've watched 4 different perspectives so far and have had entirely different experiences xD I'm excited for this series!

28:45 I had EXACT same reaction as Cleo at the suggestion of calling themselves “the Axis”, I love the little delay and then the moment of realization 😂💜 Just wonderful interaction overall, and good thing Cleo was there! 💜

@@neverg0nnag1vey0uup If you're still unaware, then the Axis is the name of the alliance that Nazi Germany had with Fascist Italy and Imperial Japan during the second world war. (if you want the origins then the term "Berlin-Rome axis" should help).
