This battle teaches us that everything is fair in love and war. You should not be foolish enough to think that your enemy will follow the same military ethos as you follow. Since ancient times it was a tradition in India to stop fighting at sunset. That's why Prithviraj never expected an attack from Gurids in night. This may sound cheating for some but it is a smart move as no one cares how bravely the loser fought. Everyone cares how cunningly the victor achieved his objectives. History is there for learning.

Yes, Muhammad of Ghor tricked Prithvi into believing that he would hold the pact, but is that the reason he won the battle? no, he won the battle on the battlefield, with an excellent strategy to neutralize the Rajput army's skill in close combat, rendering their numbers useless. No matter how cunning Muhammad of Ghor was, or how foolish Prithviraj was, Muhammad achieved a great victory that day on the BATTLEFIELD. He lost the first battle, learned from his previous mistakes, returned and forced Prithviraj into a tactical battle, preventing his army from being overwhelmed by Prithviraj's numbers again. How could you not appreciate that?

Hello guys! This is my second battle of Tarain. The "Tarain mini series" is a 3d experiment that i decided to do, but it's not my standard style, at least for my collaborations with Mago. I tried to use the positive and constructive feedback that i got from the initial battle of Tarain video, and tweaked many aspects of the 3d assets of the video. Lighting, shading and post processing is hopefully improved quite a bit. I also added a few things, including some 3d terrain features. I really hope that the improvements in this version of the novel 3d concept, are going to be more obvious this time. By the way, at 4:21 i certainly meant "AD" and not "BC", it is my mistake. I only spotted the mistake today, things like that can easily slip under the rug sometimes...

For a few complaining about the battle not fought gloriously , i would quote this from Killzone "In times of war , do not crave honour , do not pray for order , amity or surrender , ask only that you outlive the day" its either you lose and die or live and win. Edit: ignore the comments, it's useless, I'm a Christian for one, This is to those who want to go around crying, secondly, facts are clear in the above video, if you want to argue, argue with sources, REPUTABLE sources not biased ones, lastly, the conclusion is already there in the video, it's written, it's concluded and it's done, you accepting it, or not accepting it is on you. You can wake a person who's asleep, but not one that pretends to sleep. If you close your eyes, and pretend it's night in broad daylight, it's not suddenly going to be night, the conclusion is set in history of the battle and you are powerless to change it. I will not be entertaining any of the comments, so don't expect any replies. Either you can burn in your own flames of hate or accept the truth. Have a great day ahead!

Light cavalry and mounted archers attacked in circular motion. This is Turkik/mongol tribe technique called as "Tulghama or Talghama", in which attack is done by encircling enemy column or just by rotating our own cavalry columns. Later Maratha cavalry used this technique to defeat enemy. Thanx for great detail.

Armies of sparsely populated regions were always better equipped and trained. for e.g. romans, franks, vikings etc what they lack in number they make up with gears. It is not cost effective to equip huge armies. Indian kings never maintained professional armies. Most were levy farmers who performed dual role of farming and going to war. Also Indian armies did not use standardized gears. so an army units performing skilled drills on the battlefield was never recorded. It was always all in. Eventually Indians learned the art of deceit from the islamic rulers and used it against them to oust them from most regions of Indian sub continent by the end of 18th century eventually to be only be out done by the Europeans

But the because of the cold and a lack of supplies which were further halted as supply lines were hampered by Russian Cossack, Napoleon was forced to retreat back to Poland. During this retreat the Russians destroyed most of his army. And this would be the reason of his downfall. So you saying the defenders always have an advantage is not true. After his defeat Muhammad of Ghor worked tirelessly to rebuild his army and dedicated himself to conquer India. While Prithviraj did nothing. In both battles, Prithviraj had a numerical advantage. And in the Second Battle of Tarain, even after outnumbering the Enemy 2-1, he lost. He failed to keep night guards as well. Muhammad's was not a coward, he was a genius. The equipments, numbers, all were in favour of the indian king. But this clearly shows that experience and ability to learn is all that matters. He could have easily countered the horse archers by increasing the number of his own archers. I have heard that indian archers usually used poisoned arrows that can kill with a scratch. Or he could have kept his elephants in reserve and used them to counter charge ghoris final charge, instantly annihilating his elite cavalry and winning the Battle. But he never even considered something known as TACTICS and arrogance lost the battle 🥺. We can simply see that the first priority of the ghurids was to neutralise the elephants when sneeking into the camp (the planning, study and cunning strategy of neutralising the elephants even before the war started) this was because they knew how devastating elephants were if used correctly.

yep arrogance did play a major role and 'battle ethics' such as 'honoring defeated soldiers by not killing therm and not fighting in night' proved to be erroneous for this battle. Still in Indian civilization, empathy and moral values always hold high ground till date.

Consider how much the lower cast people have suffered during that time, and how much they are still suffering, just for being born to a particular family, even in the modern india where the constitution is made by a lower cast genius. There are no rules in war, one who gets victory however way he can, will spread his own story about it. Just think how idiotic the reason for Alexander's retreat from India is. A person who is the emporer of all that area can't afford to get an army to march across. All the territories that he had traveled till now where rocky, desert or mountain terrains. While the region after punjab is a highly fertile plain with immense riches and glory awaiting for him (Even at that time Indian subcontinent could support a large population and fabled for great riches so much so that the most Richest province of achamenids were the indus valley and they were mostly autonomous.

Prithvi Missile is after Prithvi which in Sanskrit means Earth. Similarly Agni in Sanskrit means Fire. Brahmos is derived from Brahmand which again in Sanskrit means Universe. Pakistan lacks any valid history and legacy that's why usually their missiles are named after Mongol, Turkic, Afghan, Persian or Arab Invaders.
