There was a generation gap and let’s face it the attention span of this generation is very short. I love Sebastian but I wondered how he would put his depthful comedy across to a shallow audience of kids. I also think this type of show and production was new for him and considering that I think he did well but he didn’t knock it out of the Park because who could doing this for the first time. He has two big obstacles, the age gap and the style of being the host of a show and how to go about putting that all together.

I normally think he's funny as heck but this obviously wasn't the crowd for him to be funny to, this is the crowd that he's usually making jokes about. His jokes are geared for conservatives, which I am, not liberals which they obviously are, for the most part anyway. In my opinion they picked the wrong comedian for this crowd or he picked the wrong crowd for his style of jokes. I realized that right off.

People must not follow comedy anymore as he is one of the biggest comedians of the past few years and his stuff is great. I think it's awesome how people immediately took to social media to complain about his jokes and completely proved his point of how people today are ultra sensitive and they're offended by everything.

This guy is hilarious, people that got offended clearly don’t get his style of comedy!

He's telling the audience, "Drop your ego, and live not solely by what you do ... life's better when you can laugh at yourself." His humor is observational, profound and very funny. Twitter is lit why?? Those who are offended are on the defense and can't step inside their truth, unable to take a step back and appreciate the cultural zeitgeist they're caught in. He's giving them--and us--an opportunity to reflect on what we norm. This is a fantastic bit: an opportunity and challenge to see our biases and not get defensive. I love him. At the VMAs everyone cheers for every single PC comment but he wasn’t afraid to be himself no matter the controversy. It also seemed liked he wanted this opportunity to get some things off his chest to this large group of people!

People being outraged by some guy talking about safe spaces in a comedy bit is literally why people joke about the concept in the first place (exception made for people who truly are PTSD or persecuted, of course). Not everything is a personal attacks guys, and people are allowed to have opinions. As long as we're all respectful to each other and can discuss ideas freely, it's all good. Sebastian Maniscalco is awesome :D

MTV knows the younger demographic stopped watching TV years ago so they brought in Sebastian for the older people(over 30) who might still watch MTV.
