I totally agree with you, I lived in Seattle from 2012 to 2015 and then moved to Jersey. Once I got NJ, I started to miss the life in Seattle..

New Jersey is nice in its own way at least though. You can see Manhattan from many parts of Jersey and it has nice beaches. Washington state is gorgeous though.

David Morrison i like the weather.

As a Seattleite, I loved this program. A lot has changed though. Best of all we tore down that elevated double decker freeway that used to go along the waterfront, replaced with a tunnel. New public spaces and walkways have been added. However, the past couple years have taken a toll on our beloved city. The pandemic, homelessness, and strife over racial and policing issues have left a lot of damage behind. It may take few years but we will rebuild and get back to the city we all love so much.

Seattle is one of the most expensive places to live but this is my home eventhough our family moved away. I took it for granted when we lived there. I pray that God bless my family to move back. Its heart breaking being away from home. One of the most beautiful place in this country. I love water and mountains. No city I have found like Seattle.

@@maryamhamze761 where will you be living? I’d say go check out the smaller neighborhood places before going to the big tourist spots! The new light rail makes getting around very easy!! Definitely be prepared for rain, and cold, but spring actually is very nice especially in April and may! Definitely go visit the University of Washington cherry blossoms!

@@maryamhamze761 to be honest no neighborhood in Seattle is cheap. Living here is very expensive, especially living with Seattle city limits. Living outside in cities like shoreline, or Lynwood up north or tukwila, or Renton down south is cheaper but the commute to the university is longer. I would probably stay in the dorm, or you may be able to find a student Apt close to campus, many people are willing to rent to college students

+Truth It has some really nice spots indeed. This video is done very well. There are a lot of areas that are hard to capture on film and you have to see them in person.

I'm from Seattle, I have always loved it when someone has liked this city who are not from Seattle because I feel like this city doesn't get the biggest treatment or is commonly talked about and I feel like it should. I still like tourists who like Seattle though since it shows them the amazing things this city has.

@@maryamhamze761 I’m not from Settle but we just vacationed there. It’s expensive , also during the summer it’s cloudy and the sun “rises” (if there’s any sun at all ) at around 5:00 am till about 9:00 PM so expect very long days. Lastly there are some homeless people in the streets …the are a few downtown but may get a lot worse depending on location. Many drug addicts . There is a LOT OF WATER …everywhere, rivers and lakes. Overall beautiful city but I wouldn’t live there ..it’s expensive. Good luck and stay safe out there 👍

I live here and I'm never boredTheres always something to do, in the winter getting trees, going to the summits hanging around downtown looking at the lights, in the spring and summer going on hikes, going down to the farmers market sampling the fruit, going the the ferry, run around green lake, paddle boarding and kayaking on lake washington, summer music festivals, concerts in the fall the leaves turn so beautiful, and when all the leaves are gone it doesn't look ugly because we have so many evergreens, going to pick pumpins. there is so much to do i haven't even scratched the surface. seattle is an amazing city, it may be boring and depressing to you and thats your opinion but its anything but hideous.

i watched this video for the first time in 2014 when i was told i would live for a year in seattle. after i leave, i always go back to this video every time i miss seattle until now 2023

Renaissance Man Just got back from a 3 month student exchange in Paris. It's not an Islamic dump, rather, the sensationalist news coverage has blown the issue way out of proportion. Easily the most beautiful and culturally rich place I've ever been to. I should point out that the presence of muslims has barely changed at all. Paris has always had a large Muslim population virtue of its close ties with North Africa.

My favorite thing to do on a summer's day is start at the Space Needle and walk along the water front (Alaskan Way) all the way to Pike Place for Lunch, and then down to Pioneer Square before walking back through the more financial district. Beautiful.

I was born and raised in San Diego, but Ive always wanted to visit Seattle. Finally going next week and I'm super excited!! I love the sunny San Diego weather but its draining after awhile, i like a nice cool day or rainy day and other than that Seattle looks beautiful and pot is recreational! favorite team was the Supersonics too so hopefully I can get a nice jersey or something!!

Theres so many American cities I've yet to see. I hope to see much more of this country while I have the chance.

Most of my fam is from Woodinville/ Snoqualmie and Auburn. My grandparents used to live on Queen Anne Hill, years ago. I don't live in Washington, but I absolutely love Seattle and the Pacific Northwest when we do visit. Love the greenery and feel of the Pacific Northwest. I highly recommend visiting Seattle! Check out Portland and the Washington/ Oregon coasts as well! Cheers!

There are amazing skateparks everywhere in and around Seattle. If that's your thing, go there. It's absolutely stunning.

Myself and wife are thinking of visiting for my 50th in 2 years as it looks a fabulous city

One tip for people visiting Seattle, you have to get Ivars, wether it is normal clam chowder or Ivars salmon house (Which is delicious with a beautiful view of lake Union, and you can even go there on your boat) you have to try it

I live in Seattle and honestly it's very beautiful and overall Washington is very pretty for its amazing trails or views. Just the thing I don't like is the rain, but you cant call us Washington without the rain.

The museum of flight definitely was my favorite attraction in Seattle, one of the best, largest and most interesting museums I've ever visited. You can easily spend a whole day there and it never gets boring :-)

LA isn't that bad unless you have the heart of a marshmallow.

I promise no matter what I will visit this gorgeous city

The summer is amazing in Seattle, the people are super friendly too. The winter however, is very depressing because it is so dark and damp.

Yeah especially this winter with El Niño although last winter barely existed. Regardless, I love Washington.

This video is amazing! Now I see how beautiful and wonderful Seattle is! I'm traveling tomorrow taking my plane in the morning. I'll be spending a full month in the city because of a study abroad summer!!

Thanks Monica. Wish I had watched this in July 2006 before traveling from NY to spend a week in the Pacific northwest. Skies were so clear and blue I could see 400 miles up into Canada from half way up Hurricane ridge with polarized sun shades on. I've only been there twice and want to go back and do it again. Had such a good time I smashed up the rental car. No tickets were issued, insurance said it was a 50/50, my liability coverage paid all damages with no deductible and without raising my rates, and Hertz gave me a free upgrade to a loaded Pontiac!!

This video just gave me a whole new respect for Expedia! Thank you

I'm moving there in summer, can't wait and GO HAWKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not summer yet, I'm still finishing my degree, but since I got really good job offer in London, I'll probably go there.

When it's raining in Seattle, it sort of reminds me of Paris. They also forgot to add the chihuly glass museum.

Hey, I visited this video again. Weird.

I live in Grand Rapids, Michigan and Seattle is the only city i would move out to. I absolutely love everything about it but it's the mountains that just captivate me. So stunning.
