I lived there in the 70's/80's, and no matter where else I have gone, Tahoe will always be "home". I've never been to a more special place in my life. Wish I could afford to live there today!

We love you California your the greatest state of all. Grandchildren and great grand kids all Calif. natives.

I live like 30-45 minutes away from Lake Tahoe . I recently went and realized the water was kinda dirty :/ I found trash, plastic, cardboard, and even a CIGARETTE BUD. Never in my life have I ever seen trash in the lake, and it kinda made me sad that people think it’s ok to trash the really beautiful water.

I use to live in Carson city and went swimming up in Tahoe almost every day off I had during the summer 7 years ago. I swear the water has been turning green from the deep blue it use to be. I went last summer up to incline village for a vacation and noticed the influx of people trashing the beach. Makes me sick :(

@@RandomGuy-jq3jz I lived in Tahoe 11 years Yes the water warmed up and algae came. A lot of that was environmentists slowing down feeder streams so to stop the sediment but got algae instead

I remember moving to Carson City from LA when I was a teenager. I hated it, until my local friends to me to Lake Tahoe. Instantly fell in love with the beauty of it all!!

Sequoia, Kings Canyon, Mammoth Mountain, Yosemite, Tahoe. It's hard to beat that huge stretch of wilderness and adventure.

God I love this place. So many memories of driving up there and camping with my family. Stay on the North side for swimming, the water is cleaner and it's less crowded. Go to South Lake Tahoe for the resorts and casinos, and *definitely* drive by Emerald Bay

Lake Tahoe is BEAUTIFUL!

I was just there a month ago! Well, on the Nevada side. And yes indeed, a very gorgeous area to behold.

One of the nicest place I visited in USA . Near to Switzerland vibes one can experience ❤️

We had a 1957 Chris Craft which we only used at Tahoe in the nineties and our family made beautiful memories. Camp Rubicon was her name. We’d participate in woodie regattas where dozens of vintage mahogany boats would cross the lake. Magical ❤️

I was stationed in Fallon Nevada in 69/71 and would go to Lake Tahoe every chance I was off. What a beautiful place. Very good video. Thanks so much.

Man, i so wish I lived here. It's so beautiful. My uncle lives here(he even built his own house here!) and I wish I lived there aswell. Going this week. Man, I cant even explain in words how excited I am to breathe the air of this fine, fine crisp beautiful air, with its alpine and cedar smell. Damn.

I was in Tahoe in 2018, i never forget those moments!

Not only is it breathtaking, but amazing it can retain its beauty, and not fall victim to cheap commercialization like so much of CA. I have been there - on all shores - several times and always love it. The color of the water, the fresh alpine air, and the 300+ sunny days real.y make it special. May they never over-develop it, and keep the grubby politicians like Gavin Gruesome, from having any influence over it.

Imma be honest with ya. Tahoe is overwhelming at first but completely overrated. From tour rides costing thousands to traffic making it hours longer to some, and almost every part of the lake is lock under pay to go to the beach from 30 for stoney beaches up to 90 for sandy ones. Though the trails and views are where it's at. Parts of the mountains have there own little lakes too love those alot. Food there is great to hear they opened one of Gorden Ramsay's hells kitchen there. BTW live in Sparks too.

@@Nate-pz1rf Orange County is pretty conservative for SoCal, Newport Beach is one of the most conservative cities in the country. But as far as people being nice, it depends on the area. Nice areas have nice people, and shit areas have shit people. I live just outside Sacramento myself, and for here, places like Natomas, which is borderline ghetto, have some of the rudest people I've ever met. Meanwhile, nicer places such as Folsom, have incredibly friendly people. And then there's Rio Linda (the same one Rush Limbaugh referenced a lot). Wierd town, and weird people. But everything in between Folsom and South Lake Tahoe are relatively nice. Sincerely, your friendly neighborhood Californian

I hope I will visit it one day in my life. looks beautiful, not every one is lucky or blessed to visit all the beautiful places on earth.

Been here long ago. It was snowing and it look beautiful I saw the lake and it was crystal clear and I felt in love. I did gasp for air because of the altitude.

The absolute best. I grew up in Marin county. I have a cabin in Tahoe as well my entire life. I’m now 30 and I am so thankful for the memories I cherish growing up in Lake Tahoe and Marin. Two beauties

Emerald bay has hikes, great views, a place called Vikings Holm. Also, it has a cool center island in the middle of the bay. You can do a boat ride you can board in Tahoe city or south lake. And you can kayak in the bay I'm pretty sure. But its been a while since I was there

My parents bought a vacay cabin in So. Lake Tahoe back in the early 90s. Tahoe is only 200 miles from the Bay Area where I’m from. I’ve been visiting there throughout my youth & teen. Last time I went was my friend’s wedding at some golf course 6 yrs ago. I kinda got tired of Tahoe & end up vacationing to major cities/states outside of CA like NYC, Denver, Texas, Seattle, etc.

For those interested, try and go this year. It will be extra beautiful because of all the snow they had this year!

Wow. Native Californian here and I have never been. I will be there with my daughter sis and her grandson for 4 nights Aug 2019. Whoo Whoo I can't wait!!! So beautiful and this vid!, Wow!!!!! Cannot wait. Next Sunday can't come fast enough.

Tahoe the beautiful, I loved it there.

Its soo great having big ski weekends and tourists! On monday the streets and highways are full of trash, beer cans and hyperdermic needles thrown from tourists! I dont even leave my house on weekends, unless it is to leave Truckee Tahoe area!

Try Lake George,NY, the northern end near Ticonderoga,NY. Queen of America's Lakes. You have access to it from almost anywhere,and any equipment,and can do everything u want. Tahoe is useless.All u can do is look at it.They want u to take buses to get to the water,or sit in a line of cars at 8am,after having to drive there first.What a joke.And the water is like ice.

I fell inlove😍 hoping to go there this year or maybe next

I need to go more in the summer and hike those trails!
