Great review, I've just bought the 2021 SE Tarraco and am so happy with it, amazing SUV and so comfortable to drive
Great review Bob and I do like your style mate. No bullshit, great wit and tell it as it is. So many other channels with too much waffle, keep her lit. Thanks for sharing.
Well done Bob. Very good review of an excellent car. You did not dwell too much on the different models available in Ireland and the actual cost of each model. I understand the top spec. model is €56,000, while the model you tested is €47,000. A little more info. on the extras would be helpful. For example, dynamic chassis control, - is it worth it for the price. Also, you could have compared it to the VW Tiguan Allspace and the Kodiaq, giving differences in bhp etc.
Just bought a SEAT Ateca, orange with brown leather, 1.5 TSI, stellar car. This weekend going to try out Tarraco 150hp TDI with a friend who is looking to buy it. Great cars.

Yet again mate great review are you going to test drive the skoda full electric car anytime soon I no it’s not out for a couple of years but a woman on KZread has tried one out at the skoda factory I no it’s it only a prototype but it looks amazing 😉
Does the touran not offer the same bar the 4wd
Which is more fun to drive tiguan or tarraco .. I trust u and thanx for ur efforts ...
nice rev Bob but is it better than a kodiak?
Wasn’t expecting a scooter review! There is something a bit distinctive about the Terraco styling.
I like it different from the rest of the VW group great video Bob as always

Will you be doing a review of the Nextbase 422gw Bob. Have one myself got it as a gift and love the super clear footage only thing is it needs a U3 SD card 🙄.

Yes review out this week I hope. I had the same problem with the SD card especially when you have more than one camera.
Hi Bob , on 1330 you say that Seat Tarraco chassis has flexing. Is this bad and does this mean that this chassis is not rigid? Does vehicle seem strong and rigid to you?
Clearance is great but think grip is a larger benefit to four wheel drive. On wet grass, in mud or snow that will become apparent. See you on the far side.
The scooters are great, but soon will be a lot better, now that there are more competitors. I do think a crash helmet is a must and of course rear and front helmet lights for added safety.
Hi Bob, good review. How would you compare the Taracco to the Skoda Kodiaq?
@BobFlavinVideo

How does anyone compare two cars that are effectively the same car with different looks? Choose the one with the best options, price and a look you really like.
Peugeot has been offering a electric scooter as an option for the 5008 for 3 years now

Bob. You've obviously never seen KZread video's on E-Scooter crashes! They are great but when you come off them slightly, instead of just putting your foot on the ground (as per bicycles), because the handlebar is such a long way from the tiny wheel, the loss of control is extreme!
Great car Proving very popular as a lease alternative to the Passat, Mondeo etc so cheap

Every time he says "It's different to other VAG cars using the same platform" I think to myself "well it's exactly the same as my wifes Kodiaq!" apart from not having ventilated seats and an older entertainment screen it sure as hell looks exactly the same.
Nice review, but I think it's a bit too expensive for a SEAT, I don't see how it's affordable, for the spec you are demonstrating in UK prices SEAT are quoting well over £400 a month on a 4 year pcp with over £6000 down! Maybe if you are a CEO you buy one, but then you would want VW or Audi so who exactly are they aiming at with this? Clearly not the youthful or sport type. I'm currently in an Ateca Xcellence but have the dilemma of needing 7 seats and can't afford such a steep price difference between the two cars, think they need to drop the price on this one tbh.
8l/100! I'm guessing it has been driven hard.. my seat leom cupra st 4drive gets that!

Paul Coulter we don't actually have many diesel cars here. We have a lot of 4wd diesels like Landcruisers Etc but diesel passenger cars have only really gotten popular in the last few years. I have a diesel Mondeo and I love it, I'll never go back to a petrol powered car. I doubt we will ever have that add blue stuff, we are not as heavily populated as Europe. Smog isn't really a thing here, lol.

As a cyclist I love the scooters because they draw the hatred of drivers off ourselves 😛 All the same through they are very cool and might be the solution for the “final mile” of people’s journeys. 25kph is too fast though, running pace like 10kph is probably more appropriate for them
@BobFlavinVideo
5 жыл бұрын
I'm also a cyclist and have gone over 80kph on a non-powered bicycle so 25kph is nothing. I can run at 10kph so that's not going to work either. Equal speeds is a better solution, we already have hoverboard type things that can barely do 5kph and they are a real menace
@rapidrick

Bob Flavin 25kph is nothing on open road but its pretty fast around a congested city or town where they are intended for . I like them though, more of these or bikes would solve a lot of traffic problems if everyone looks out for each other!

@@BobFlavinVideo Yes Bob but at least you still have all your front teeth!
The scooter is great but to be fair Bob, I think they are somewhat dangerous. The braking on them is awful when you need to stop in a hurry. There isn't the same braking or control that one might have with a bicycle for example. Plus the tiny wheels make them a lot less secure on the road surface, especially a poor road surface. You also have less "presence" on the road than you would with even a bicycle, especially a problem in a busy city like Dublin.

Brian Cullen easy solution, don't ride one. Leave them to those of us who aren't scared :)
@typhoontim125
5 жыл бұрын
@@officialWWM Well the "easiest solution" is to ban them which is exactly what's happening, because they're dangerous. They're effectively banned on the roads here with the police stopping anyone they see using one. In the meantime I'll leave it to those who "aren't scared" and who are stupid enough to use one on a busy city road like those in Dublin. If you're living in the Ozzie Outback in the backside of nowhere then different story. G'day mate ;-)
@officialWWM

Brian Cullen I'm not in the outback but it's a small city, Hobart, Tasmania. These things aren't legal on the roads here but are completely legal on the footpaths and cycleways. We don't really believe in banning things that are fun just because some people are stupid. Our attitude is more along the lines of taking personal responsibility. If you got on the bloody thing and you fell off it, well, you have no one to blame but yourself. Banning something due to a couple of uncoordinated dickheads is not how we roll here :)

@@officialWWM You say you don't believe in banning things in Oz yet admit they're banned on Tasmanian roads? That's the whole debate here... Whether they are dangerous on the roads! You don't make sense! In fact the scooter that Bob is riding is completely banned in Tasmania because it can do 25km/h. Anything over 10km/h isn't legal anywhere in Tasmania!. In some Ozzie states electric scooters of any sort are banned! (because of safety!) So, so much for "Australians not banning things and believing more in personal responsibility" as you say, that turns out to be a pile of Kangaroo Poo mate! G'day ;-) www.budgetdirect.com.au/blog/australias-electric-scooter-laws-by-state.html

Brian Cullen you are completely wrong. Not being allowed to use something on the road is not the same as banning something! When something is banned, that means you're not allowed to have it at all! We are allowed to ride them on footpaths and cycleways (what kind of idiot would ride that on the road anyway?) in fact, my son has both an electric scooter and an electric skateboard and he rides them to school. I have an electric assist mountain bike that I can legally ride on the road and I can cruise at 33kph on it with very little effort. It's a great way to get about! The law in Tasmania is set by kw not kph. You can ride an electric device unlicensed and unregistered as long as it has less than 10kw!

Make rules about a minimum standard machine and that will stop the cheap ones being sold. You can argue the very same for bicycles, no disc brakes, no lights, no helmets and so on, people die every day on bicycles yet only scooters are the problem in Spain?
I mangened to queeze 6.7l/100km in a mitsubisi outlander 2.2 diesel. 5.3l/100km is what they tell you it can achieve der all full of shite when it comes to suv fuel economy.in fairness to the outlander it can do some off the real off road stuff unlike these suvs that are more cars pretenting to be suvs.

I dunno...like for like, the Tarraco may have a bit more kit, but in respect to that, I can't help feeling that some of this 'extra' kit, is a bit like one of those expensive Callaway Golf Drivers that cost £450+, that have all sorts of weights and adjustments on...okay for a while but after a week, you find a setting that works for you, then don't use those weights and loft adjustments again!...Also, and I know it's a subjective aesthetic thing, but I can't help think the Taracco is a bit Hyundai....ish....and the Skoda Kodiaq is a little better looking, but as I said, that's subjective I suppose...Think I'd still take a Kodiaq rather than this, if I was in the market for a good sized, well specced, decently priced SUV.
@madant7777

To me the front looks more Mitsubishi Lancer to be honest. And it looks different (better) in person. A work college just bought a black Kodiaq Sportline, all black. You don't even notice it in black, and build quality in some places looks worse than I saw in the Tarraco - Kodiaq door handles squeak.
"budget luxury SUV" - something sounds wrong with that, something doesn't make sense.
Rental scooters are a nuisance.
0:55 those things are dangerous because they end up in the hands of people who have no sense and no experience riding them in traffic. There's been already one death in one of these in Sweden. Also they're a nuisance, parked everywhere in the middle of pavements laying around crossings. Ask anyone that lives in Lisbon the nuisance they have become.

From the text that FM put in, how are they different? People are killed off bicycles loads, they are often blocking paths outside shops. They are locked in terrible places, they are a nuisance when used inappropriately and there's no need to have a helmet or a high visibility jacket (Dublin Bikes). Scooters have built-in lighting and can only go 25kph max, unlike bikes that can go far faster.
@typhoontim125

@@BobFlavinVideo Scooters are different in these respects: Less control, tiny less safe wheels, less stability, longer stopping distances & less presence on the road. They are the reasons why there are so many accidents and are considered to be less safe and are being restricted. 25km/h in the city on one of these is too fast. I take your point re scooters cluttering the paths is the same as bicycles. And there are many positives to the electric scooter but you can't ignore their serious safety shortcomings. A reduction in speed is needed.
