It never ceases to amaze me how the topics that you guys cover are so intrinsically linked to my own. It's quite astounding. Everything from Cemetery Man to Chaplin. I absolutely adore your channel.

Been watching you since you were in Savannah!! Im here man! Love you4 channel! 🤘🏼
My great great uncle is in this movie. He's the big shirtless guy that comes in, salutes the boss on the screen and revs up the machine. His brother, my Uncle Snap, remembered visiting him on set and talking to Paulette Goddard. Fun stories when I was a teen!

I got chills!! This is one of my very favorite scenes in all of movie history. I seriously didn’t even think it was possible to find the location and so I never looked. THANK YOU!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Somehow Type O Negative’s “Wolf Moon…” just works perfectly here! Awesome work, Michael.
I love the transition shot at 12:20 from today to them both walking down the road with the four peaks. Great history!!
I love super old locations like this, like you did for Dracula and Frankenstein. And even though I'm a huge horror fan, I love all classic cinema. And you know...it is kind of spooky, seeing as the overwhelming majority of these people have passed on. Its kind of like watching their ghosts. 👻
As a big big fan of Chaplin, I must say, this was a wonderful episode! Thank you!
I kept thinking the music was actually part of the movie. Great choice!
The crows at the beginning of the video really sets the mood lol
The California adventures can go on for years! So much to discover!
Amazing that when they were filming, the sky, the colour, the sun, it was all the same as you are standing there, so hard to imagine with old films, especially black and whites.
I have always Loved Charlie Chaplin ❤ since forever ♥
Love the Orson Welles opening. Welles actually came up with the idea for Chaplin's Monsieur Verdoux.
Very cool to see these old filming locations - not just these specific ones, but all of them. I absolutely love seeing stuff like this and getting a feel for what these locations look and "feel" like today. Often it's sad to see how much has changed in the surrounding area, like the TCM cemetery in the video I watched before this one, but still nice to see that some places are still recognizable after so many years. That includes the locations connected to real crimes as well, and you always act very respectful when talking about the victims and telling their stories.
Heyyy! Always love your past and present locations. 86 years ago. Wow!
Have you guys been to Niles California? The Town pays Tribute to Chaplin and His movies and Legacy there is Even a caboose at The Niles Train Station! I Love visiting Niles, it’s a Beautiful Place!✨
I love the " Type O Negative "music . Great band they were ...
Thank you so much for find this, filming it, and showing it to us. You can actually find it by referencing the natural terrain, which is mostly still there! Finding old film locations and matching them to the way they are now is one of my favorite preoccupations. Thank you for doing the work and sharing it with us!
#grimmlifecollective . I enjoy watching Silent movies a lot. Like Mary Pickford, Thea Bara, Charlie Chaplin, Lon Chaney Sr, many more Silent movies Stars. I love history of Hollywood, like old Hollywood. Thank you to sharing this with me, Happy Halloween!
Awesome background song 🤟🏻☠️🖤
Who says you just have to do horror films? Due to the quality of your content, we will watch it all.
love the Type O, miss that band
Its so cool that you mentioned The Mayans because in The Mayans, they are at war with the Sons Of Anarchy and in that show, the Sons Of Anarchy were represented by crows. And while you were filming, crows were going off in the background.
And going by the shadows looks like an evening shoot
I live right by one of the filming locations at the beginning of the movie, from the original "The Hills Have Eyes".
What I love about you guys is I really have no interest in Chaplin but you make it so entertaining and informative I still enjoyed it all.

I second this. I've never seen a whole Chaplin film but Michael's storytelling kind of inspires me to.
You are truly a gift to the KZread community. Your extensive knowledge of cinematic history never ceases to amaze me......how cool to have discovered the location of such a beautiful film, shot soooo many years ago! Thank you!! Happy Halloween
I love the crow. Great ambience for abandoned places.
Jackie Coogan was in "the Kid" with Chaplin, he grew up to play Uncle Fester on the "Addams Family" show.
Michael, thanxs for the entertainment and information videos. Hollywood seems like a holy ground...many things happened there.
“I can’t stress this enough, if you choose to come visit this location; please use caution. This road is quite busy with Pet Semetary Gage size trucks” * stands in middle of road to line up shot 😂
Beautiful Retreat and Church!💙
Nicely edited Type O Negative Wolf Moon with Charlie Chaplin movie
Love it. Very cool. I'm a fan of Chaplin's work.
niles blvd in fremont still has an old train station and rail car that were used in charlies films the town is still heavily chaplin themed till this very day..great place to visit .
Type O Negative, nice touch
Love that movie first of all, and second of all love the type o negative background music. I used to personally know Peter Steele when I was a kid, much love Grimm
I have never seen your channel before and I've spent a lot of my life (particularly my childhood) not only loving films of the 1920s and 30s and 40s, but gaining a great deal of solace and inspiration from them. How amazing to be shown this iconic setting, and to see that you can still recognize it although so much of the beauty is gone. It's poignant and it's kind of thrilling! And I live for this stuff too... 🙏 I've loved film all my life, and I have not found a way, except in bits and pieces to convey that love to the world. And I have spent my life terrified of horror films partly because of all the ones that my sister watched with my dad when we only had one TV back in the late 60s! So I will probably not be able to watch another episode without feeling dangerously close to territory that would keep me up at night, but that makes me sad because you are such a wonderful presenter and clearly love film as much as I do. Thank you so much for this beautiful gift. Doug ❤
10:35 not just Semi-trailer truck 😀😎 This one was super nice with the nearly 100 year old locations. Very nice 💕
Wow! Thanks for this one! I love Charlie Chaplin and that is my favorite shot from Modern Times. Fantastic to see this!
It almost feels like your walking into Charlie Chaplins silhouette. Truly amazing to see these locations.
Love the eating machine part
Love Chaplin and love Modern Times. One of my all time favorite films. Paulette Goddard was a beautiful woman…no surprise Charlie married her.
Hollywood history is awesome!
Type O Negative... That's awesome
Love the video. You explained things in detail which really increases a persons interest level.
Great video 🏴🤝🇺🇲....👍👍👍
Thank you Michael, I love silent movies.
Awesome vid as usual... But man that soundtrack from Type Of Negative is just as awesome....
One of his old studios above Sunset & Alverado on the border of Silver Lake & Echo Park has become a Public Storage
Wow just wow. Thank you Grimmlife. Another great episode! And I love that it is old school and history with all that is going on these days, I appreciate this
You are really into what you are doing, a big salute for you. This was interersting and I agree with you, see/visit a place like this, there he once stood and walked, the "little tramp",. That´s huge. See a real location from the great Modern times, that´s huge.
Cool video. That church is beautiful inside. I do like the old Charlie Chaplin movies and Buster Keaton. I have a DVD of old movies and there is Phantom of the Opera from 1925 with Lon Chaney that is silent. You may like this. I sure did. Take care.
Nothing like old Hollywood thats where it all started if you can't feel the immense nostalgia thru this vid you might wana check your pulse!!!

Tears Came When watchinh!💙
Love your videos, I too love the old films, glad that you are incorporating it in your videos. Thank you.
Another great video. Love the film location vlogs. Love to see more Buster Keaton locations if possible.
I learn something new each time I watch your history of Hollywood's classic movies :) Thank you for taking the time to produce this :)
I am SO HAPPY y'all did this movie! Charlie Chaplin is so amazing and one of my favorites! This movie, even though talkies had been out for about 6 years by this point. "The Tramp" made his voice debut in this film but in genius mind of Charlie Chaplin, "The Tramp's" voice debuted in a jibberish speech! Please keep the silent movie locations coming! No one's doing them and they need to be documented while they still can:)
Thanks for sharing this. I love Chaplin and silent 🎬 movies!
I love a Silent Film!! Especially a Charlie Chaplin Film....
The effort you put into these shot line-ups is tremendous, not only in the research of it all but also putting yourself at risk to match the angle. Awesome stuff.
Always look forward to a new video from you guys. You never disappoint. Love you guys.
I loved it !!! Thanks for filming this 😊😊
Love your videos, great work! Greets from Germany
Beautifully filmed. You had me worried there on that busy road !

Another Great Video and I hear some familiar music..I looked up the Group from the previous video, Daddy Long Legs. Found Type O Negative on KZread, I love discovering New Music. Stay Spooky and Happy Halloween 🎃
You gotta come up to Niles CA. There's a silent film museum here and a lot of Charlie Chaplin and Bronco Billy's. This was the actual start of " Hollywood"
Dude your Killin it, really loving these uploads
Interesting ... That church building is gorgeous. I would love to live inside of that .For some reason when I saw it, I thought of those spaghetti westerns that Clint Eastwood did . One day, would you vlog those locations of those old westerns ? They always looked desolate and spooky. Thank you for another great vlog . You've really developed into a master story teller . I hope Jessica is alright

Love it and the music along with the silent film is awesome!
Love these silent movie locations, thanks.
Very cool, enjoyed that, jees that road was crazy dangerous, take care guys
Its so cool you get to do just little day trips like this, you've got the best job in the world and I love watching it.
Modern Times isn't completely silent. It has talking but only through radios and TV. Yes TV's in 1936. Chaplin also sang a song at the end. I think your shot at the end is pretty spot on Really love this video and you're a great host as always.
love the location comparisons so neat, beautiful church
thats awesome, great job, looking forward to the next video
I've seen a lot of your videos, a lot! This one might be my favorite so far! They just keep getting better and better. Easily one of my top channels. Happy Halloween! 300k!!!

Brilliant Michael!💜
I kept saying at my TV" Michael! Now get off that road! Don't get dead! Lol.. But seriously doesn't matter it's not horror. Some of us just like to see the movie magic and lineups you provide. This was beautifully done. Thankyou. A Charlie Chaplin fan mom of 3 sons. Loved this tribute ❤️
