For sure it was not a penalty. Onana was falling and his arm was not in an unnatural position. And moreover, the ball was kicked so close to him and straight to his arm. So the VAR should have intervened and after review it should have been decided as not a penalty. That did not happen. So the VAR is quite often incompetent and it should not be defended. Or most of their games this season where they've had pens for diving, offside goals given or opposition goals being disallowed. City have clearly bought refs, seeing as they couldn't keep buying players

Notice the difference between what goes for and against them.. when it favours them, its usually an incorrect decision, when a pen goes against em its a clear pen but its not corruption cause a fair decision actually went against them...

Never a penalty. Ball struck from a Yard away and hits armpit with arm in natural position and not outstretched. Ball would have hit face so had no impact on shot.

The game is run by the oil barons , end of . I get more enjoyment watching the Toolstation premier league, at least it's genuine.

They make the rules this way to help the top teams who will naturally spend more time in the opposition's area and therefore with the law of averages get one of these ridiculous pens. These pens that shouldn't be given are bread and butter for City. They would be out of the race without them. And of course this pen is the defining moment that brings a City win that gives the Premier League exactly what they want. The closest title race in years and a tight relegation battle. So much to get people talking about the league.

Remember Rodri's deliberate handball at Goodison 2 seasons ago? Never gave the penalty because it would "upset the title race and set the story for a huge relegation battle" I agree, Once football fans actually open their eyes and realise that the EPL is nothing but a Narative bullsh*t fairytale. I’m a City supporter, but would have been very unhappy if that penalty had been given against us. Got a lot of time for Sean.

Every football club has had dodgy decisions go for them or against them. City are in the firing line so much because they have been able to break the strangle-hold certain "Squeaky Clean" football clubs have enjoyed for a long time. Guardiola has already stated he will walk if City are guilty of those charges. Right now that doesn't seem to be the case given his passion for the club and the plans they seem to have going forward. Rival fans should bite their lips before the FFP charges are either proven or dis-proven. As for the rules governing our beautiful game, they are made by idiots - pretty much like those idiots who run the country.

The top Clubs will always get those decisions.That said, Manchester City were the better side and deserved the points. Unfortunately, because of Luton's good recent form, we're back in trouble. It's going to be another long season.

It was not because of the penalty ,that City won.They were much better in the second half.Also Onana might have possibly prevented a goal,and it is what it is.

We don't need to keep going back to that rodri handball anymore. This season every single decision city need has gone their way. Even in games that city aren't playing in, such as Liverpool vs arsenal, Liverpool vs spurs, Liverpool vs Chelsea... almost as if Liverpool are a threat to city too...

When are managers just going to call it as it is. VAR is another way of influencing outcomes of games under the guise of fairness. The whole thing is scripted by the league. People need to understand this is not a sport but an entertainment business, it doesn’t serve the leagues pockets well for city to be out of the race, or any of the other”top” clubs. I want our manager come out and say it, we all know they are thinking it, closest was when lampard called the reverse situation “incompetence at best” which in other words is cheating….

VAR is a joke. The only "fans" that does not think so is these of the teams that VAR is created to benefit.

It's a clear penalty, look where Onana's arm is, it isn't in a natural position and he's delibirately making himself bigger by raising his arm in anticipation of the shot. It's no surprise that Dyche is moaning about it, he moans about every little thing even if he's wrong. I don't know why he bothers complaining so much after the match, nothing can be changed, he's just wasting his own time and everybody else's.
